"You're beautiful! But not quite at the level where you could make women fall for you!" Little Smudge declared.
"Now that's interesting." Lily Bai tucked her mirror back into her purse and sent a telepathic message to Sandy: "Sandy, we're inside now. Got any discoveries yet?"
Sandy replied, "Let's stroll slowly and head toward the back."
The two of them pretended to be besties, browsing as they went, blending in with the crowd heading toward the rear.
As they walked, Lily Bai quietly nudged Sandy: "Pull up some info on Nathan Xiao and his wife."
"Sure." After searching, Sandy reported: "Online sources say Nathan Xiao has been obsessed with archaeology since childhood. He majored in it at university, and after graduating, turned down the Cabinet minister job Xavier Xiao arranged for him and took over the National Heritage Museum instead.
He's personally joined field expeditions multiple times—a true archaeology fanatic who hates politics."
Lily Bai nodded. "He totally looks the part. What about Mabel An? How'd she end up in archaeology too?"
"Couple goals, I guess," Sandy said. "Mabel An's original major was her family's old business—telecommunications. She and Nathan Xiao were college classmates, fell in love, got married, and her interests gradually shifted. She quit her old job and now works with him in archaeology."
...
As they spoke, Sandy stopped in front of a tightly closed security door.
"Is there something wrong here?"
"Yeah," Sandy said. "The abnormal energy is coming from inside here."
"These top-three global security measures really are something else—even you can't get past them," Lily Bai remarked.
Sandy: "No."
"No?"
"This... isn't just top three. It's probably the single most advanced system in the world—one of a kind," Sandy said.
Lily Bai: "...So what now? Should we come back tonight and check it out?"
Sandy replied, "Sure."
...
Lily Bai gathered Max Mo, Uncle Ernie, and Ms. Crowe, and told them about what she'd discovered earlier that day.
She explained that she planned to go with Sandy to investigate the National Heritage Museum that night.
"You can't be serious!" Max Mo protested. "That place is packed with national treasures! Its security system is supposedly ranked top three in the world!"
"We can handle it," Lily Bai said, glancing at Lisa.
Lisa nodded.
"I don't believe it!" Max Mo insisted, knowing just how tough that place was. "Unless you show us your plan, there's no way I'm letting you go!"
"Exactly! That's not a place you can just waltz into. Do you realize what would happen if you got caught?" Uncle Ernie chimed in.
Lily Bai sighed and finally revealed Lisa's true identity: "Actually, there's something I've never told you all."
Uncle Ernie: "What is it?"
"Lisa is Sandy."
Max Mo was confused. "What?"
Isn't Sandy a robot dog?
"Lisa is a robot," Lily Bai said apologetically. "I've actually wanted to tell you for a long time..."
Max Mo: "...Are you kidding me?"
Lily Bai looked at Lisa.
Lisa extended her hand in front of Max Mo. One of her fingers suddenly softened like putty, twisted into a spiral, and then returned to normal.
"I'm indeed a robot," she said calmly.
Max Mo didn't say a word for the rest of the night.
"Lisa is a robot. She can disable the museum's surveillance and alarm systems, unlock any door, and scan for anomalies anywhere," Lily Bai explained. "So you don't need to worry about us getting caught."
