Old Friends Make a Scene When Reunited

1/4/2026

"How would I know that?" Cherry Miller remained unmoved, looking up at Ethan Yin. "If Young Master has orders, of course I'll do my best to cooperate. But I hope I can help you after I've finished Miss Yin's tasks. What do you think?"

"Ah..." Ethan Yin glanced at Cherry Miller, seemingly unintentionally. "I just wanted to ask, am I some sort of plague? Why do you avoid me like the devil?"

"I already explained my reasons this morning," Cherry Miller replied calmly. "If I remember correctly, Young Master, your memory is supposed to be the best."

What a stubborn little girl!

Ethan Yin found himself even more intrigued.

"But I don't think that's a reasonable explanation." Ethan Yin's smile grew more devilish as he suddenly leaned in, lowering himself to look at Cherry Miller. "Are you avoiding me because you're afraid you'll fall in love with me?"

"Ha?!" Cherry Miller raised her eyebrows.

Turns out our Young Master is not just cunning, but also a bit narcissistic.

He really is great, but just because he's great doesn't mean everyone has to fall for him, right?

"Ridiculous." Cherry Miller subtly widened the distance between them. "Young Master Yin, if you have no further instructions, I'd like to return to Miss Yin's side and await her orders. That's my real job."

"Alright." Ethan Yin saw Cherry Miller's defensive posture and could only straighten up, saying, "The German document you translated this morning was excellent. I have a whole stack of files here—please help me translate them too."

Cherry Miller sighed and said, "Alright, I'll get to it now."

While Cherry Miller was being worked to the bone, Yina Yin had already dashed to the academy gate, happily running with Lucas Mu and Mason Kerr toward Leo and Theo Mo's villa.

They hadn't seen each other for years, keeping in touch only through the internet and phone calls. Everyone missed each other like crazy.

As soon as they reached the villa entrance, Yina Yin saw Ryan King, Leo Mo, and Theo Mo waiting to greet them at the door.

After years apart, the three boys had all shot up in height and looked more handsome than ever.

"Wow, Nora, you really haven't changed a bit after all these years!" Ryan King rushed over and hugged Yina Yin. "You're still just as cool!"

"Of course!" Yina Yin replied smugly.

"Come on, Nora, can't you be a little more humble? Ethan and Mason are both back! You still dare call yourself the coolest?" Lucas Mu was always quick to poke fun.

"Oh, get outta here! Always trying to make me look bad!" Yina Yin glared at Lucas Mu. "All these years and you still haven't changed."

"I'm fearless," Lucas Mu spread his hands, as cocky as ever. "If you hit me again, I'll drug you!"

Watching the two of them bicker like always, Mason Kerr pursed his lips and said, "If you keep it up, the servants will laugh at us."

Yina Yin and Lucas Mu finally stopped glaring at each other and went to greet the others.

Leo and Theo Mo, though only sixteen, already showed signs of Max Mo's charisma.

They looked mature for their age. Very gentlemanly, they hugged Yina Yin and said, "Nora, it's been way too long."

Yina Yin sighed, "Yeah, you guys are always off on some adventure. It's so hard to see you! At least now you're all here at school, so we can hang out every day."

After saying that, Yina Yin pointed at Leo and Theo Mo, tilting her head, "Let me guess which one of you is Leo and which is Theo!"

Leo and Theo Mo exchanged a glance and smiled, "Alright, let's see if your eyes are still sharp after all these years!"

Yina Yin grinned slyly, "This is actually super easy!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Yina Yin threw a punch!

The twins reacted instantly.

One reached out to grab Yina Yin's fist, while the other dodged back, ready to provide backup.

"Haha, the one who grabbed my hand is definitely Leo, and the one who dodged is Theo! Am I right? You guys are still the same as when we were kids—one goes on offense, the other backs up!" Yina Yin burst out laughing.

Everyone else just shook their heads, speechless.

This was Yina Yin's unique way of telling them apart!

When they were little, every time Leo and Theo Mo started their 'guess who’s older' game, Yina Yin would just swing a fist at them!

And honestly, it worked every time.

She was almost always right.

Leo and Theo Mo could only shake their heads helplessly. "Can you use a gentler method next time? Besides, we're grown up now, we don't play that game anymore."

Leo released Yina Yin's hand, and everyone hugged each other.

Theo said to the others, "Come on in, everyone! From now on, this place is one of our hangouts."

Ryan King pushed Mason Kerr and Lucas Mu inside, and the lounge was already packed with food and drinks.

In the center stood six gaming consoles and a huge display screen.

"What's all this?" Yina Yin looked at the consoles. "Don't tell me you guys want to have a tournament tonight? I’m warning you, I've never lost!"

Ryan King grinned mischievously, "Alright, let's give it a shot! Didn’t you always say Mason’s the best at this? How about we have a match tonight and see?"

Leo and Theo Mo were eager too. "The three of us have been practicing this game for ages. Not convinced? Let’s battle it out!"

"Bring it on!" Yina Yin raised an eyebrow and threw her arm around Mason Kerr’s shoulder, grinning. "Mason, it’s all up to you now! Show them your skills and our team’s power!"

Mason Kerr’s eyes curved with a smile as he looked at Yina Yin. "Alright."

Lucas Mu instantly claimed a console, flicked the mouse, and shouted, "Wow, you three were totally prepared! Planning to make a splash as soon as you got to Saint Diana Academy, huh? Well, I’m not backing down!"

Everyone else hurried to their seats, ready to jump into the game.

"Let’s go! Watch Nora in action!" Yina Yin quickly typed in her account and password, launched the game, and got ready to battle. "Mason, same as always—the technical stuff’s all on you."

Mason Kerr looked up and flashed Yina Yin an 'OK' gesture.

After so many years, the three of them had built up perfect teamwork in the game.

They’d played plenty of matches online against Leo, Theo, and Ryan King.

But gaming through a screen always felt like something was missing.

Now everything was perfect.

At last, everyone was together—they could finally play to their hearts’ content!

Mason Kerr’s gameplay was as sharp as ever—he played with absolute skill and style.

Yina Yin was so excited she was almost hysterical, slapping Mason Kerr’s shoulder and shouting nonstop, "Mason, you’re awesome! Mason, you’re the best! Hahaha, crush them!"

The three on the other side were speechless. "Nora! Seriously?!"

Yina Yin just laughed even harder. "Let me show you what real skill looks like!"

"Nora! Nora!" Lucas Mu shouted, "Can you pay attention to your health bar?! Watch your back!"

"Got it, got it!" Yina Yin quickly healed herself. "Lucas Mu, keep up!"

The whole villa echoed with their screams and cheers—it was pure chaos and excitement.

Meanwhile, back at the dorm, Cherry Miller finally finished translating Ethan Yin’s last document. She was completely exhausted.

Ethan Yin suddenly pushed back from the desk and stood up, stretching. "Wow, it's already so late. Sorry for keeping you from dinner. How about I treat you to a late-night snack?"

Cherry Miller stood up. "No thanks, I should get going."

"At this hour, the school cafeteria’s probably closed. If you want to eat, we’ll have to go out." Ethan Yin smirked. "Are you sure you want to head out?"

"No need for all that trouble." Cherry Miller smiled. "I’ve got some simple ingredients in my room—I’ll just whip something up."

"Oh? Really? That's perfect, I'm starving too. Mind if I join you for dinner?" Ethan Yin shamelessly asked. "I really don't want to go out!"

Cherry Miller almost choked on her own spit!

Why did I admit I had ingredients in my kitchen?

Isn't this just making things harder for myself?

But now it's too late to regret it.

Ethan Yin was already in front of Cherry Miller. "Come on, let's go to your room and cook! I'm starving! What, is the heir to the Yin Corporation going to starve here?"

Cherry Miller couldn't help but laugh in exasperation.

Who would dare let the heir to the Yin Corporation starve?

"Alright, let’s go." Cherry Miller could only follow Ethan Yin to her room, inviting him to rest in the lounge while she headed to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Ethan Yin looked around, taking in the room’s decor.

Even though everyone lived in the same villa and shared the same dorm, each person’s room still had its own unique style.

Cherry Miller’s room was especially minimalist.

It was obvious she hadn’t spent much effort on her room.

Most of the furniture was the default setup—whatever the school provided, she used.

Unlike Ethan Yin, Miles Gu, and Yina Yin, whose rooms were filled with special items sent by their families.

But Cherry Miller used only the most basic, standard setup.

It was clear she really didn’t care about her living environment.

She wasn’t jealous of anyone’s luxury or refinement.

She was just a minimalist kind of girl.

She had clear goals and lived with precision.

If there was one thing that stood out, it was the vase by the window.

In the vase was a bunch of wildflowers, clearly picked from outside.

With Cherry Miller’s status, she could have displayed the most expensive flowers.

As Yina Yin’s chief assistant, she definitely had that privilege.

But she didn’t—she only gave herself a bunch of wildflowers.

So ordinary, it was almost invisible.

She really was a low-key, almost invisible kind of girl.

Ethan Yin’s lips curled up as his long fingers brushed the petals, a smile on his face.

Still, he found himself interested in those unremarkable wildflowers.

Cherry Miller moved quickly and soon brought out dinner. "It’s just a simple meal. If you don’t like it, I’ll call Quay to make something else."

"No need, Quay is busy with other things." Ethan Yin replied quickly. "I’ll eat anything. During training, Miles and I even ate snake raw."
