Chaos

"Still dare to smash things?!"

"Stop him!"

"You have a death wish!"

Seeing Evan Lin smash another flowerpot, the nearby boys' faces changed. They grabbed stools and swung them at Evan, aiming straight for his head.

Evan Lin strode forward, neither dodging nor flinching. When they got close, he simply launched a double kick, sending each boy flying to the floor.

Then, under everyone's gaze, Evan bent down, picked up a stool lying nearby, gripped its leg in his right hand, and with a twist, tore the leg off.

"Do you dare tell me who you are?!" Leo Li's face twisted as he saw Evan Lin coming straight for him.

His concentration had just been broken, so he had to start reciting his mind technique again—he was only halfway through and needed more time. But seeing Evan Lin approach with the stool leg, he shuddered and shouted loudly, trying to stall for time.

"I'm someone who's more of an ancestor than your ancestors." Evan sneered, took several big strides, and smashed the stool leg straight into Leo Li's face.

The blow knocked out two of Leo Li's front teeth. He screamed, tried to fight back, but Evan Lin's stool leg moved with supernatural speed, raining down dozens of strikes in a blur. Leo's screams echoed, and nearby, Ivy Deng and the others went pale.

Utterly satisfying.

"Stop!"

Faye Zheng's face changed and she snapped, "Stop!" But Evan Lin showed no intention of stopping.

She turned to Jason Jiang and Max Ma, snapping, "He's causing trouble on your turf—aren't you going to do something?"

Jason Jiang and Max Ma exchanged glances when they heard Faye Zheng's words.

If it were anyone else, maybe they could try to intervene—but Evan Lin was not someone the two of them could handle.

"Will you kneel or not?!"

Evan Lin looked at Leo Li in front of him, his face calm, and asked.

With every word, Evan landed another blow—each strike hit flesh, making Leo Li scream again and again.

"Will you kneel or not?!"

Evan Lin's right hand kept swinging the stool leg. Security outside had heard the chaos and came to check, but Ken Feng sent them away with just a few words.

Just you wait! If you’ve got guts, stick around!

Leo Li scurried away, clutching his head in shame, but he still couldn't quite swallow his pride.

Evan Lin never gave him a chance to finish his incantation. Every blow hurt like hell, but none knocked him out—the force and angle of each strike were perfectly controlled.

The Oceanport heirs who came with Leo Li had wanted to grab stools and help, but seeing Evan Lin looking like a god or demon, they lost all courage and just lay on the ground pretending to be dead.

Faye Zheng's face kept changing, her teeth clenched. She silently recited her own mind technique, wanting to help Leo Li against Evan Lin, but Leo's screams kept interrupting her focus.

Evan Lin kept beating him for five minutes—nobody knew how many blows had landed.

This is your last chance—kneel, or not?!

Evan Lin snorted coldly, switched his grip on the stool leg, pointing the tip at Leo Li's right kneecap, ready to strike.

Kneel! Kneel! I'll kneel!

Leo Li stared at Evan Lin, completely terrified.

He'd never been beaten like this before, nor seen anyone fight like Evan Lin—never stopping, never tiring, every blow exactly the same strength.

The moment Evan Lin switched his grip, Leo Li felt a surge of mortal danger, as if he were staring into the gates of hell.

Senior brother! Faye Zheng's face changed, stunned by Leo Li's surrender.

Leo Li, you can't kneel! shouted several Oceanport heirs nearby.

Leo Li was the top dog among them.

If he knelt, it would mean more than just losing face for himself.

If you'd listened earlier, things would've been much easier. Evan Lin sneered.

Leo Li, trembling, managed to get up from the floor and knelt before Evan Lin: "I was wrong, I failed to recognize greatness!"

You should apologize to my brother, not me. Someone like you kneeling to me just disgusts me. Evan Lin kicked him.

Leo Li tumbled backward, but quickly crawled up and knelt before Hank Chu, kowtowing frantically: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll never dare again!"

You're a bigger man—please let me off!

Leo Li kowtowed so hard his head thudded on the floor. His mind was a mess—he couldn't use any techniques now.

Without his techniques, he was just an ordinary person—no match for Evan Lin.

Besides, Evan Lin's stool leg had truly beaten the fear into him.

Don't think you can just go around hitting people because you think you're somebody—there are plenty who can put you in your place! Hank Chu glared at him.

Yes, yes! I get it, I get it! Leo Li nodded and begged for mercy.

Aren't you one of those Oceanport heirs? You hurt someone—shouldn't you pay their medical bills? Ken Feng called out from the side.

I will, I will! Leo Li hurriedly pulled out a bank card and handed it over. 'The password is six zeroes—there's a hundred thousand in it. Take it as my apology!'

Leo Li looked panicked, face bruised and swollen, a complete mess.

Uh... Hank Chu hesitated.

Take it, and buy some supplements later. Evan Lin said.

Only then did Hank Chu accept it.

That's better.

Evan Lin casually tossed the stool leg aside.

With a clang, the stool leg hit the floor, making Leo Li jump.

When Evan Lin and the others left, the Oceanport crowd and Faye Zheng were left fuming.

What's the point of you two? Didn't you say that in Whitewood County, you could handle anything? Faye Zheng glared at Jason Jiang and Max Ma.

Jason Jiang forced a bitter smile: "He's not someone I can talk sense into—he's just not a person you can judge by common sense..."

Sorry, maybe I should take Leo Li to the hospital? Max Ma said, looking helpless.

He used to get along well with this crowd, but Evan Lin's sudden entrance ruined his reputation in their eyes.

Forget it! Both of you, get lost! someone cursed, driving Jason Jiang and Max Ma out.

Leo Li rubbed his head, still sitting on the floor, his face dark as thunder.

Senior brother, are we just letting this go? Faye Zheng asked, clearly unhappy.

Let it go? No way! I got ambushed tonight, but that punk won't be so cocky next time. Next time I see him, he'll pay in blood! Leo Li roared, but the pain caught him off guard and he sucked in a sharp breath.
