The Road Home (Part Two)

1/11/2026

Faced with this question, Supreme Zhang waved his hand decisively: "For now, this is top secret. Even Andrew Han's immediate family must be kept in the dark."

As soon as these words were spoken, the entire hall fell silent.

The Martial Arts Alliance Elders’ Council Hall, temporarily requisitioned by Law Realm guardians, was filled with stunned silence. Most simply thought, what's the harm in announcing it? After all, Andrew Han will surely return within a year.

Unfortunately,

Only Supreme Zhang understood the truth.

"Relative to Earth's motion, staying completely stationary is extremely difficult—almost impossible."

"As for chasing after Earth, that's utterly impossible!"

The former is nearly impossible, but the latter is absolutely impossible—because of the speed difference. Earth's orbit is elliptical, traveling at over thirty thousand meters per second.

A Law Realm guardian's maximum speed in outer space is only seven to eight thousand meters per second.

Law Realm speed is only one-third that of Earth, and the straight-line distance is always greater than a third of the elliptical orbit... So even if Andrew Han calculated Earth's orbital path and pinpointed his own location, he could never catch up to Earth.

"There are only two solutions."

"Either remain stationary, or pioneer a realm above the Law Realm." Supreme Zhang felt a shadow cloud his heart, sensing the future was still bleak, with endless pressure weighing down his spirit.

Not only because Andrew Han's return was so uncertain.

There was another reason as well... Supreme Zhang, feigning nonchalance, rubbed his brow and sat at the head seat, instructing the Law Realm guardians not to disclose Andrew Han's predicament in outer space for now.

Supreme Zhang commanded immense authority; none of the Law Realm guardians pressed further.

By now, Andrew Han's importance was self-evident. Everyone trusted that Supreme Zhang had his reasons.

The Elders’ Council Hall of the Martial Arts Alliance was vast and bright. One Law Realm guardian after another sat in their chairs; even their unconsciously released aura was enough to make ordinary people faint.

The seating arrangement remained unchanged, just as it had always been.

Yet now, some seats were empty... The Law Realm guardians unanimously agreed: for those who died fighting for humanity's survival, their seat numbers would remain forever, never retired!

On the left side, the thirty-first seat.

Sky-Soaring True Person Jin Qiyu squinted, shaking his red robe, his face weary and weathered, yet unable to hide a trace of joy.

"This is for the best."

Jin Qiyu thought to himself, "It's true—Andrew Han's situation in outer space shouldn't be made public. If anything goes wrong, it would spare the world panic and grief."

The extinction battle had ended only half an hour ago.

But one thing was undeniable: everywhere in the world, Andrew Han had countless fervent admirers—and their numbers were anything but small!

In the eyes of the people, Andrew Han was a hero—the savior of all humanity!

Andrew Han's journey from ordinary person to hero captivated everyone. Compared to other Law Realm guardians, people of this era felt a deeper connection to him.

"This Andrew Han is truly extraordinary." Jin Qiyu brushed off his red robe, recalling Andrew Han's instant breakthrough to the Martial General Realm and his shocking feat of slaying a Sect-class Demon.

Aside from Jin Qiyu himself, no one else knew this—Andrew Han killed a Sect-class Demon right after reaching the Martial General Realm, which truly astonished Jin Qiyu.

"And to think I was always so curious."

Jin Qiyu sighed inwardly: "How could someone just entering the Martial General Realm kill a Sect-class Demon? What was the truth behind it all?"

Though Jin Qiyu kept his distance, he couldn't help but be curious... Now, at last, he understood, and his mood brightened, a smile of relief forming on his face.

There will always be those who uncover secrets, hoping to seize them for themselves.

But they never consider: even if there is a treasure, can one person's advantage truly benefit everyone? To risk so much for a mere guess—either foolish, or driven by wild ambition and deep resentment.

At this thought—

Jin Qiyu straightened his red robe, smiling as he watched the Law Realm guardians discuss the next steps. "Fortunately, Han Supreme encountered me, Jin Qiyu—otherwise, his martial path would have been full of obstacles, which would have been a tremendous loss for all humanity."

He was not boasting, nor did he intend to claim any reward for his help.

It was simply a heartfelt sigh.

That was all.

Beside him, Leon Yu glanced at Supreme Zhang, quietly transmitting, "The rest of this discussion doesn't concern us. Why not just leave now?"
