"Aunt never fulfilled any obligation to raise me, so I have no duty to support her in old age. Same goes for my mom's side. My responsibility is only to you and my mom, and that's it." Julia Yu was harsh not only to her mother, but equally so to her father.
After so many years of hurt, how could it be possible to let go with just a few words?
She's a human being, not a horse handler!
This person wants her to let it go, that person wants her to let it go—if she keeps letting things go every day, isn't that exhausting?
Mr. Victor Yu clearly hadn't expected his daughter's attitude to be so unyielding.
"I know better than you what my mom was thinking when she told you this news," Julia said. "From now on, don't answer calls from her side. I'm already grown up, and she doesn't need to discuss how to raise me with you anymore."
Mr. Victor Yu responded with a muffled sound.
"Did my mom tell you that as long as I marry Max Mo, you'd have the money to get Leo Yu the best medical care?" Julia sneered. "My mom really knows how to hit you where it hurts! No wonder Aunt doesn't mind letting you come to me."
"Julia, don't talk about your aunt like that," Mr. Victor Yu said with difficulty. "She's innocent in all this."
"I don't know if you two are innocent, but I do know that I'm the one who was abandoned by you all. The only reason I still call you 'Dad' is because you raised me for eighteen years. As for her, I only address her as Mrs. Grace Ge." Julia said calmly, "I still remember how much you doted on me when I was little. Don't worry, your retirement is my responsibility. I won't leave you behind."
Mr. Victor Yu felt even more heartbroken. "Julia, your words are like knives, stabbing right into your father's heart."
"Sorry about that, Dad," Julia replied, her tone still cool. "I'm not the forgiving type!"
As expected, Mr. Victor Yu was left speechless.
Julia didn't feel she had the right to judge her parents' marriage.
But was she really innocent in all this?
If they didn't love each other, why did they bring her into this world and make her endure its coldness and warmth?
People always say, 'There's no such thing as a bad parent!'
Wrong. Completely wrong!
There really are people who don't deserve to be parents at all!
Julia deals with all kinds of cases every day, and she's seen far too many parents who act like monsters.
