Coming Softly, Leaving Softly

The Imperial Star shimmered with five colors, endlessly revolving along its pre-set orbital path. Without the intervention of advanced technology, this planet—one hundred times the size of Earth—would never have been fit for habitation.

On this day, with outer space clear and free of meteorites, the bustling Imperial Star welcomed a visitor.

It was Miles Ning, arriving from the distant Solar System.

......

Beyond the Imperial Star, outer space remained cold and lifeless.

The central star shone brilliantly, accompanied by the Imperial Star and four other orbiting planets.

Even with the Chenriver Empire’s technology, it was impossible to truly transform the vacuum of space. Only by enshrining the entire planetary system as Sealed Celestial bodies might one indirectly alter its internal environment.

“Chenriver Imperial Star.”

Miles Ning was dressed in a jet-black leather jacket.

His usual ensemble: a somewhat worn leather jacket, black pants, and black cloth shoes. The wrinkles on his aged face flickered with an unfathomable, wild glint, as if a ferocious beast had finally broken free of its cage and was now lightly flexing its razor-sharp claws.

Standing there, he radiated stored power—light and heat poised to erupt at any moment.

He resembled a miniature star, ceaselessly emanating scorching energy—a celestial avatar infused with vast stellar might, but not his true physical body.

“Hmph.”

“This celestial avatar is far too weak.”

Such is one of the inherent drawbacks of the Sealed Celestial Path.

For example, Miles Ning, who enshrined a star, found his power waning the farther he traveled from the Solar System. Near the Solar System, it was no issue; but if he ventured countless light-years away, even his body and soul might face annihilation.

Thus, his arrival at the Imperial Star this time was only in the form of a celestial avatar with Stellar Palace-tier combat power.

“Where are the Pink-Skin Humans?”

Miles Ning narrowed his eyes, pondering silently: “The Pink-Skin Humans occupy the Western Region, dominating twenty billion life-planet systems. Their Western Region Administrative Capital Star is their core gathering place, yet it holds only about ten billion Pink-Skin inhabitants. Such a small population—remarkably few.”
