You Are Too Confident

For a moment, Ian Song found himself missing Ning Ling, who was still on the home planet.

Maybe I should find a chance to bring Ning Ling over.

In the early hours, much of Mesa City fell silent. Just then, two figures descended from the sky onto the rooftop of the Double Diamond Hotel—they were Sarrow and Dario, from Luoxin City.

A short while later, the two found six corpses in one of the hotel's rooms.

"We were a step too late. Finding that guardian won't be easy," Dario said calmly.

A cruel light flashed in Sarrow's eyes as he sneered, "Since that guy calls himself the guardian of Mesa City, he must care deeply about this place. If we start destroying the city and kill a few more people, I bet he'll show himself!"

Dario looked at Sarrow in surprise, thinking to himself that the man wasn't as simple as he seemed—he was actually quite clever.

He then said, "That's a good idea. But I think we should split up—one of us draws his attention openly, while the other hides and looks for a chance to ambush him."

"Ambush?" Sarrow scoffed. "That's completely unnecessary—I'm more than enough to kill him!"

Dario replied calmly, "Better to be cautious. Don't forget, Lady Cici told us to work together. If the guardian escapes, you'll be held fully responsible!"

Annoyance flashed across Sarrow's face. "Fine, you hide in the shadows. But I still think it's unnecessary!"

Dario just smiled and didn't argue further.

The next moment, a Western man with eight wings appeared in the sky above the Double Diamond Hotel.

He glanced down at the Double Diamond Hotel, then raised his hand and punched!

Buzz!

A wave of black energy blasted forth, instantly blowing away the hotel's top floor and rooftop parking lot.

Aaaah!

Dozens of guests living on the top floor fell from mid-air, their screams piercing the night.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Hundreds of hover cars crashed down, making a series of thunderous noises that echoed through the early morning.

The screams and crash of hover cars instantly woke the other guests, hotel staff, and nearby residents.

Next, the hotel guests frantically rushed downstairs to escape.

Hahaha!

Seeing this, Sarrow laughed wildly in the sky and punched again.

The powerful shockwave blew away two more floors, bringing another wave of screams and crashing sounds.

Just then, a patrol hover car sped over, arriving just in time to witness Sarrow blowing away two floors with a punch.

What kind of monster is that?

The SWAT officers inside hurriedly reported to base and called for backup.

He cackled, "A patrol hover car!"

With a weird laugh, Sarrow flashed to the top of the patrol hover car, then grabbed it with both hands.

No!

The two SWAT officers inside the patrol hover car screamed as they plummeted toward the ground at terrifying speed.

Whoosh!

Just as they thought they'd be smashed to pieces, a figure suddenly appeared, caught the patrol hover car, and set it gently on the street.

Whoosh!

The newcomer flashed into midair, facing Sarrow.

Sarrow looked at Ian Song with contempt, baring his sharp white teeth. "I thought you'd take longer to show up. So you're the so-called guardian of this city?"

Ian nodded. "That's right. I'm the guardian of Mesa City. The crimes you've just committed are enough for you to die ten times over. How do you want to die?"

Sarrow burst out laughing. "Hahaha! What a joke. You think you can kill me? Die!"

Whoosh!

A blur flashed through the air—Sarrow suddenly appeared before Ian Song and threw a punch at his chest.
