The Yin Family Division

"Charles, you know I only have three daughters in this life. If I can't count on my girls to take care of me, who am I supposed to rely on?" Aunt Linda Gu from the clan, dressed in her finest, clung to Charles Yin's arm and complained: "But now they're suddenly saying that unmarried daughters can't live at their parents' house. What kind of rule is that? The law doesn't say that married daughters can't come home, does it?"

Before Charles could reply, Mrs. Florence spoke up: "Sister-in-law, that's not right. If it's your own house, you can keep your daughter or son-in-law however you like! But is this house really yours? Did you pay a cent for it? This is a clan house! The clan assigned it to you! So the clan has every right to decide who can live here and who can't!"

"Nonsense! You rotten-hearted woman! You have granddaughters too! Don't you want your granddaughter to live in town?"

"Of course I do! I've already told my granddaughter, when she gets married, she'll have to move out of town!" Mrs. Florence replied confidently.

What good is a granddaughter anyway?

Compared to ten billion a year, even a grandson could be kicked out!

She'd had enough of living a life where every penny was counted!

She wanted to enjoy life while she was still able to move around!

"It's not even your money! This house was built with Charles's money. If anyone's kicking people out, it's Charles's call, not yours, Mrs. Florence!" Aunt Linda Gu spat in Mrs. Florence's direction as she spoke.

Charles Yin would never let the conflict reach him—he intended to stay the innocent party from beginning to end.

"Aunt Linda, once I've spent the money, I don't care about it anymore," Charles Yin said, brushing his hands clean of the matter. "Since no one can make a decision, let's put it to a vote!"

Mrs. Florence immediately chimed in, "That's right, let's vote! If you want to keep living in town, send your daughters and sons-in-law away. If you don't want to split up, then leave the clan and set up your own household! We're all Yin Family anyway, it's just a name!"

Charles Yin was laughing his head off inside, but on the surface, he looked utterly helpless.

The town where the Yin Family clan lived was only about an hour's drive from downtown S City.

You could say this place was prime real estate.

The houses nearby were going for a hundred thousand per square meter.

Basically, if someone from this town moved out and bought a house elsewhere, even if they put all their savings into it, they'd barely make a dent.

And the most important thing is—

Children have children, and grandchildren have children.

Over the past few decades, all the kids born here have their household registrations and school districts in this town.
