Charles Yin's Bold Move

1/4/2026

"Among the Field Family, only the old Duke and the current Earl Field hold noble titles. The other two never inherited any titles." Charles Yin refilled Cici's teacup as she drank.

"Unfortunately, the eldest son has always been frail and sickly, bedridden for years, unable to even get out of bed, let alone marry and have children. The second son, well, his orientation is unclear—he's never had a girlfriend or boyfriend. People say he's obsessed with research, that's his only companion. As for the third, Earl Field, he's the only healthy male heir and the designated successor to the Field Family fortune. But sadly, he's a staunch bachelor. In other words, he strongly resists marriage and... any woman."

Cici's eyes widened in surprise.

This Earl Field really was an oddball.

"Five years ago, someone saw Earl Field in Myanmar and Vietnam, but nobody knows why he went there. However, it seems that Earl Field accidentally had a child with a woman, and that child just happened to be adopted by my wife and became my son." Charles Yin smiled faintly. "If I'm not mistaken, Earl Field already knows about the child's existence, and knows he's in my home. So, he's come to claim the child."

"As long as Earl Field brings the child back to the Field Family, he can continue his bachelor lifestyle. It's a win-win, isn't it?" Charles Yin looked at Cici with a smile.

But Cici's expression suddenly grew serious.

"President Yin wouldn't really give the child back to the Field Family, would he?" Cici suddenly felt an ache for that child.

"Unless the child chooses to go back, I won't let him go," Charles Yin replied solemnly. "This is the child my wife entrusted to me before she left, and he carries her surname. How could I give him up so easily? The Yin Family doesn't lack the means to raise him."

Hearing Charles Yin's assertive answer, Cici felt an inexplicable sense of relief.

Even though she herself couldn't quite figure out why she felt relieved.

Just thinking about how much Charles Yin cared for his wife made Cici feel a little pang of jealousy bubbling up inside her.

"So... if you two love each other so much, why did you get divorced three years ago?" Cici finally couldn't hold back her curiosity and blurted out the question.

After she asked, Charles Yin broke into a genuinely happy smile.

She finally asked!

She finally couldn't hold it in!

Charles Yin lowered his gaze and chuckled softly: "Our divorce was something we were forced into! Her family wouldn't allow us to be together. At a critical moment, she chose to sacrifice everything just to keep the child born of our love. She forgot everything, forgot all the happiness we once had. Three years—I've waited a whole three years. It's time for her to come home."

Cici felt those little bubbles of jealousy multiplying inside her.

"About that marriage you mentioned..." Cici hesitated, not daring to finish her sentence.

"Yes, when I talk about marriage, I mean with her. My life is short, only a few decades, so I only have one wife." Charles Yin looked at Cici with utter seriousness, enunciating every word: "For this life and the next, through life and death, I will never leave her."

Cici felt those bubbles of jealousy in her heart were about to overflow. Flustered, she turned her gaze away: "Congratulations to you both."

"No, you should congratulate us." Charles Yin smiled at Cici: "Cici, look into my eyes."

Cici wanted to resist, but she couldn't help being drawn to his gaze.

She looked up and fell right into those deep, ocean-like eyes, unable to pull herself away.

"Miss Clarence was right. My Aston Martin One-77 is meant for my wife. You’ve already accepted this car, Cici, so it’s time for you to come home." Charles Yin gently took Cici’s hand. "No matter if you’re Gu Cici or Yun Cici, you are my Cici—always have been, always will be!"

Cici jumped to her feet in shock, her face full of disbelief. "Mr. Yin, that’s not funny!"

"Why do you think it’s a joke?" Charles Yin’s face stayed perfectly calm. "It’s never been a joke. You may have forgotten the past, but you’ve never forgotten how you feel about me, have you?"

Suddenly, Charles Yin leaned in, trapping Cici between himself and the wicker chair, his deep eyes locked onto hers.

Cici couldn’t move, so she just stared at Charles Yin in defeat.

As his handsome face drew closer, Cici’s heart pounded uncontrollably.

The kiss lingered, long and tender.

When Charles Yin finally ended the kiss, Cici was still lost in its aftertaste, unable to pull herself away.

Charles Yin’s eyes darkened, his voice low and husky in Cici’s ear: "If you still can’t remember, I don’t mind helping you recall a little more..."

A little more...?

A little more—wasn’t that...

Cici’s mind couldn’t help but conjure up images of the two of them tangled together in bed.

Her ears burned with embarrassment.

God, what was she even thinking?!

Seeing how rattled Cici was by his sudden kiss—so flustered she didn’t know what to do—Charles Yin knew it was time to stop for today.

Cici was never particularly brave when it came to feelings, so you couldn’t push her too hard.

Otherwise, it would backfire.

Charles Yin let go of the wicker chair all at once.

Seeing Charles Yin suddenly release her, Cici immediately felt relieved.

But then, a sudden emptiness welled up inside her, as if she’d lost something...

"It’s getting late, get some rest." Charles Yin reached out and gently ruffled Cici’s hair, his eyes holding a mysterious smile.

After saying that, Charles Yin didn’t hesitate—he turned and walked away.

Cici whipped her head around, just in time to catch a glimpse of Charles Yin’s tall, elegant figure as he left.

She touched her lips, where his taste still lingered.

Ah, how embarrassing!

She’d just let herself get lost in his kiss.

But that kiss was so sweet, so beautiful.

Suddenly, for the first time, Cici realized how wonderful a kiss could be...

Even sweeter than she’d ever imagined.

Restless, she returned to her room, flopped onto the big bed, and rolled over and over, thinking only of that kiss.

And his breathtakingly handsome face.

Men’s looks really are dangerous!

Cici buried her head under the pillow, trying to erase that enchanting, world-upending face from her mind.

But the harder she tried, the clearer his every expression became—so clear it was like they were etched into her mind, impossible to ignore.

Just one simple kiss from him could make someone completely lose themselves.

And what about his embrace?

And... what about everything else?

Would those be just as irresistible?

Cici felt like she was beyond saving!

She’d never been so lustful before!

But why was he the only one she couldn’t resist?

She’d met plenty of handsome men, but none had ever given her such intense visual and physical sensations as Charles Yin.

No wonder Miss Clarence was so obsessed with him—he really did have that kind of appeal.

Just as Cici was tossing and turning, unable to sleep, the phone rang.

Cici glanced at the number and immediately answered.

"Mom..." Ethan Yin’s muffled voice came through the phone.

"Ethan? What’s wrong? Is something bothering you? Are you feeling sick?" Hearing Ethan’s voice, Cici finally forced herself to suppress the inappropriate images in her mind.

"No, I just missed Mommy." Ethan replied gloomily. "Miles missed Mommy too."

Cici smiled gently. "Mommy misses you too. Mommy still has things to finish outside, so I can’t come home yet. You and Miles be good in London, okay? When I’m done, I’ll take you out to have some fun."

"Okay," Ethan replied obediently. "Miles had a dream that Mommy didn’t want us anymore, didn’t want Miles anymore. A man suddenly appeared and said Miles was his child, then tried to take Miles away. Boo hoo... Mommy, please don’t abandon Miles, okay? Let’s always be together as a family, okay?"

Cici’s heart skipped a beat.

She suddenly thought of how Miles’s eyes looked so much like Earl Field’s.

Could it really be such a coincidence?

Wait, Miles’s features really do resemble Earl Field’s a bit...

He gave me the family crest to keep—could it be... because of Miles?

No, no, absolutely not!

If Earl Field was after Miles, he’d just go to London and find him—why come all the way here and give me the crest?

Besides, Ethan and Miles have a mother!

They just can’t find their mother right now!

Earl Field definitely isn’t after Miles! Definitely not! He can’t be!

At that moment, Miles’s voice came through the phone: "Mommy, no matter what happens, please don’t abandon me, okay?"

Hearing Miles’s sad voice, Cici’s heart nearly broke.

Just thinking of Miles in the dream, rushing over to shield her from the villain’s arrow, and seeing that little one close his eyes right in front of her—Cici’s heart ached so much she could barely breathe.

No, she absolutely couldn’t let anyone take Miles away!

Absolutely not!
