The Terror of Evan Chu

1/19/2026

The Sea-Sky City Lord was utterly infuriated by Evan Chu. As the ruler of an entire city, when had he ever suffered such humiliation? He'd already made up his mind—even if it meant leveling his own City Lord's Mansion, he was going to slaughter Evan Chu and Silver Dragon right here and now. These two were simply unforgivable!

"If you want to lay a finger on my Young Lord, you'll have to get past me first!" Silver Dragon roared, his fury exploding. As the Sea-Sky City Lord shot toward Evan Chu, Silver Dragon's figure flashed, launching a ferocious strike to intercept him.

The three remaining elders immediately locked their sights on Evan Chu. If the three of them couldn't kill him, they might as well quit the Sea Regions in shame. Without hesitation, they spread out and surrounded Evan Chu from every direction.

Silver Dragon and the Sea-Sky City Lord clashed head-to-head, their powers evenly matched—a true collision of titans, neither able to gain the upper hand. But Silver Dragon remembered Evan Chu's words: all he had to do was protect his own life, leave the rest to Evan's monstrous attack power. With that terrifying strength, Evan could crush any crisis before them.

Evan Chu glanced at the three elders encircling him and laughed, "You really think highly of me, huh? Three late-stage God-Venerables ganging up on an early-stage 'weakling'—this must be the biggest joke in the entire Sea Regions! Don't you guys feel any shame?"

"Kid, do you think you can bait us with words? You're too naive! You managed to cripple a late-stage God-Venerable—does that sound weak to you? No matter what, you have to die today. Otherwise, we'll never wash away this humiliation!" one elder spat, hatred blazing in his eyes.

"Oh really? Just you three? I don't think you have what it takes. Want to test me? Since I dared to come to Sea-Sky City, you can bet I've already figured out all your secrets. Today, let me end your lives—honestly, you guys are just wasting space in this world." Evan Chu kept smiling, completely unfazed by their siege.

The three elders couldn't help but feel uneasy at Evan Chu's calm. After all, this kid had just crushed the Third Elder with a single move—maybe he really was that powerful. Their hearts grew more cautious, each one on high alert.

"Let's be careful—this kid is seriously freakish! Everyone, use your strongest martial arts. If that doesn't work, unleash your true bodies and attack! No matter what, we must kill him today!" another elder barked, voice grim and resolute.

The other two nodded in agreement, while Evan Chu quietly circulated his Chaos Divine Power. He was preparing to unleash the Icefire Divine Eye for a devastating opening strike—once that landed, handling these clowns would be a breeze.

At the same time, he planned to draw on his internal Stellar Power—maybe he could fire the Icefire Divine Eye twice. Even though the technique could only be used three times a month, for a cultivator like him, a month would pass in the blink of an eye.

"Kid, let’s see you handle my Blazing Heaven-Rending Slash!" one elder shouted, brandishing a crimson longsword wreathed in black flames. Just looking at it, you could tell this strike packed monstrous power.

Evan Chu just laughed. "You really think you’re all that? I only need one move to kill you. Don’t believe me? Try it!"

"You’re too arrogant! No one in the Sea Regions has ever claimed they could kill me in a single move. Today, you’ll learn the hard way—die!" The elder raised his sword and charged straight at Evan Chu.

"Overestimating yourself!" Evan Chu spat, then his eyes blazed—one red, one blue—shooting out two massive beams of light that slammed into the oncoming elder with pinpoint precision.

The instant the Icefire Divine Eye erupted, the entire space shook violently—even the barrier above Sea-Sky City trembled nonstop. Evan Chu’s Icefire Divine Eye could tear open a spatial black hole; smashing the city’s protective barrier was child’s play for him.

If that barrier broke, seawater would come flooding in. For a moment, everyone in Sea-Sky City was stunned—such heaven-defying power, right here in their city! This was the stuff of nightmares.

The elder’s body was sent flying like a cut kite, blasted thousands of meters away. Two bowl-sized bloody holes appeared, his God Infant was annihilated on the spot, and his body began to fragment—until even his upper torso vanished completely. It was a scene of pure carnage.

One move—instant death. The other two elders felt their scalps go numb; even a God-Emperor couldn’t do much better. They started to suspect Evan Chu might secretly be a God-Emperor himself—otherwise, how could he wield such terrifying power?

The Sea-Sky City Lord, locked in fierce battle with Silver Dragon, was also shaken to the core by Evan Chu’s strike. Facing such monstrous attack power, he knew he couldn’t withstand it—his fate, if hit, was obvious.

For a split second, the Sea-Sky City Lord’s attention wavered—a fatal mistake for any expert. Both he and Silver Dragon were covered in blood, their martial arts evenly matched, but Silver Dragon seized the opening and unleashed a sword-qi strike, tearing a massive gash in the City Lord’s abdomen and exposing his internal organs.

The Sea-Sky City Lord, now badly wounded, was furious—but he hadn’t reached this position by losing his head. Escaping at this moment, though, would be anything but easy.

He immediately shouted to the two remaining elders, "One of you is enough to handle that brat—come help me kill this guy!"

Evan Chu just laughed, "Didn’t I say it? Killing him only took one move. Now, who’s next? You—weren’t you the one who seemed to hate me most? It’s your turn!"

"I meant no disrespect, Young Lord—please, don’t kill me!" The elder who’d insulted Evan Chu earlier was now looking at him like he was a devil, trembling in terror.

"Oh? Is that so? Then I can spare your life—if you do one thing for me. If you pull it off, I promise I’ll let you go. I never go back on my word," Evan Chu smiled, his tone full of casual dominance.

The elder’s face twisted with fear. Evan Chu’s power was simply too terrifying—he’d just killed a peer in one blow. Anyone would be scared out of their wits at a time like this.

After all, when staring death in the face, most people would choose survival. So he asked, "Young Lord, what do you need me to do?"—his address for Evan Chu changing instantly.

Evan Chu’s lips curled in a cold smile. "Go to the City Lord’s Mansion and tell them—Evan Chu killed a late-stage God-Venerable in a single move. Tell everyone in Sea-Sky City that if they dare provoke me, this is the fate that awaits them. Spread the word: Evan Chu is not someone to be trifled with."

The elder nodded furiously, not daring to show the slightest hint of defiance. He turned and fled toward the City Lord’s Mansion, eager to complete his humiliating task and save his own life.

The remaining elder stared at Evan Chu, his face pale as death. He’d just watched his companion die in a single move—the terror was overwhelming. Even if he wanted to fight, his courage had already crumbled.

Evan Chu didn’t even bother to look at him. "You’re not worth my time. Get lost!"
