Princess Chloe Who Begged to Be Kidnapped
Even the usually unflappable Grand Supreme Lord Lao showed a rare hint of gravity on his face after sensing the killing intent radiating from Ian Song.
"Well? Have you made up your mind yet? Are you going to give up your plan to establish an emperor, or keep going?"
Ian pressed the question again, forcing the Jade Emperor into a corner.
The Jade Emperor steadied himself, but inside he was torn. If he agreed, the little dignity he'd managed to build up would be wiped out again; if he refused, this demon might really slaughter the entire Heavenly Court.
"Jade Emperor, just agree to this Immortal's request!"
Grand Supreme Lord Lao suddenly spoke up to persuade him.
The Jade Emperor shot Grand Supreme Lord Lao a grateful look, then swept his gaze over the other celestial officials and asked in a deep voice, "What do you all think?"
"We'll follow your lead, Jade Emperor!"
"Whatever you decide, Jade Emperor, we're with you!"
The group of immortals simply tossed the ball back to him, almost making the Jade Emperor explode with rage.
But in the end, he gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, I agree!"
As soon as the words left his mouth, the Jade Emperor turned and left—staying any longer would only make him the laughingstock of all the immortals.
Seeing this, Ian smiled slightly. The hidden threat in the Heavenly Court was finally resolved. As for whether the Jade Emperor might go back on his word, Ian wasn't worried—after all, as the ruler of Heaven, he wasn't the type to break his promises.
"Everyone, since the matter is settled, I'll take my leave now!"
Ian cupped his fists to Grand Supreme Lord Lao and the other immortals, ready to leave, but Grand Supreme Lord Lao called out to stop him: "Wait, my friend. Would you care to join me in the Tushita Palace for some tea?"
"It would be my honor!" Ian replied with a smile.
Grand Supreme Lord Lao's invitation was nothing special—he simply wanted to get closer to Ian. So Ian stayed for a little over an hour before taking his leave.
But just as he stepped out of the Tushita Palace, he saw Princess Lana, the Sixth Princess, standing there gracefully.
"Lana greets the Immortal."
The Sixth Princess gave Ian a shy, graceful bow.
"You're far too polite, Princess Lana," Ian replied with a smile.
"Are you planning to leave, Immortal?" Princess Lana asked.
"Why, is there something you need, Princess Lana?" Ian asked with a smile.
"Not really!" Princess Lana gently shook her head. "It's just that last time, when you told me about the mortal world, I found it fascinating. I wanted to ask you more about it. Oh, and you can actually call me Lana."
As she spoke, Lana's cheeks flushed a little.
Ian smiled and nodded. "Alright, then I won't stand on ceremony—I'll call you Lana from now on. But you shouldn't keep calling me 'Immortal' either. Just use my name, Ian Song!"
At this, a hint of joy flashed in Lana's eyes. "I'll call you Young Master Song, then."
Ian said, "That's fine. If you're curious about the mortal world, why not go see it for yourself? As they say, seeing is believing!"
Hearing this, Lana's face showed her excitement, but then her expression dimmed. "Mother has forbidden us sisters from descending to the mortal world at will. If we break the rule, we'll be punished."
Ian said, "That's easy—after you come back from the mortal world, just tell the Queen Mother of the West that I abducted you, and then you escaped and returned!"
"How could I do that? Wouldn't that ruin your reputation for no reason?" Lana protested, shaking her head.
Ian laughed heartily. "Ha! I don't have much of a reputation in the Heavenly Court anyway. What's one more crime—kidnapping a princess—on my record? Besides, I'm not even from Heaven. Even if the Queen Mother of the West is upset, there's nothing she can do to me!"
Hearing this, Lana found his reasoning sound. After a brief hesitation, she agreed.
"Immortal, could you kidnap me too?"
Just then, Princess Chloe, the Fifth Princess, popped out from the side, looking at Ian with pleading eyes.
At first, Lana was worried to see her fifth sister jump in, but as soon as she heard Chloe's words, she realized her sister just wanted to go to the mortal world too.
And since Lana felt a bit awkward being alone with Ian, having her fifth sister along would make things much easier. So Lana spoke up again: "Young Master Song, why don't you agree to take my sister too?"
Hearing the sisters' request, Ian couldn't help feeling a bit odd, but he smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Yay! This is great! Young Master Song, you're the best!"
Princess Chloe couldn't help but cheer out loud.
"Let's go!"
In the next moment, Ian released a wave of energy that enveloped the two Heavenly Court princesses. With a flash of light, they vanished from where they stood.
When they reappeared, they were already at the Heaven-Pillar.
When Ian brought the two girls to the big city, they stared in amazement at the towering steel skyscrapers and the cars speeding down the streets. Like curious children, they bombarded Ian with questions.
So Ian gave them a brief overview of humanity's modern history.
Then he took them to an amusement park.
After a wild half-day at the amusement park, Ian brought the two still-enthusiastic girls to a street full of snack vendors. From one end to the other, they never stopped eating, their faces glowing with happiness.
After finishing at the snack street, Ian took them to a big shopping mall and bought them a few sets of clothes. The two princesses transformed from classical beauties into stylish city girls.
Lana was gentler and more delicate, while Chloe was much more lively.
After buying clothes, Ian took the girls out for Western food, and then treated them to a movie.
They watched a melodramatic romance movie called "Left or Right." Ian nearly dozed off from boredom, but the two girls were completely absorbed—especially when the male lead was hit by a car and became a vegetable, which left both of them sobbing uncontrollably.
So when they left the theater, both girls had red, puffy eyes.
Ian said to the girls, "Alright, that's enough for today. Let's find a place to stay, and we'll continue having fun tomorrow!"
"Okay!"
Neither of the girls had any objections.
So Ian found a nearby five-star hotel and booked two luxury suites.
He stayed in one room, while the two princesses shared the other.
But while checking in at the front desk, people nearby kept sneaking glances at them—after all, Lana and Chloe's beauty and aura were truly outstanding, attracting plenty of attention.
Just then, a young man in a suit approached with a smile and said to the girls, "Ladies, my name is Ma Youli, a top talent scout from Huayi Company's artist division. With your looks and presence, you'd be perfect for the entertainment industry. If Huayi promotes you, you'll become world-famous stars!"
The girls were stunned and instinctively looked to Ian.
Ian replied coolly, "Sorry, they're not interested in joining the entertainment industry."
Ma Youli retorted with a hint of challenge, "But you're not them. How do you know they aren't interested?" He handed them two business cards and added, "Here are my cards. By the way, could I get your phone numbers?"
Ian was both amused and annoyed. He spoke again, this time with a touch of intimidation in his voice. Instantly, Ma Youli's face turned pale with fear, as if he'd encountered something terrifying, and he bolted away.
