We Meet Again

"A flight attendant?"

Hearing Leo Liu’s words, Gavin Guan raised an eyebrow and clicked his tongue. “Interesting. Nice figure. Bet she’s amazing in bed too—those legs could probably crush a guy to death, tsk tsk.”

Gavin grinned as he stared openly at Irene Xu, his gaze blatantly roaming over her chest and legs.

At that moment, Irene Xu—looking a bit tired—felt something and turned her head. When she met Gavin’s eyes, her expression changed slightly. She quietly shifted her position, moving to the other side of a nearby boy to escape Gavin’s stare.

"Irene, what’s wrong? Are you okay?" The man beside her was dressed in a suit and leather shoes, his hair slicked back, about twenty-seven years old, with a watch on his left wrist. Noticing Irene’s discomfort, he asked her.

"I’m fine," Irene Xu shook her head.

Before she could say more, a cheerful, pot-bellied middle-aged man across from them—Mason Fu—chimed in, “Xiao Xu, if you’ve got any trouble, just say the word. In Capitalview, there’s nothing Mason Fu can’t handle! If anyone’s bullying you, you come straight to me!”

Mason Fu patted his chest, still holding a glass of red wine. As he spoke, his greedy gaze swept over Irene Xu.

Irene Xu shrank back a little, feeling sick inside. She forced a polite, awkward smile. “No need to trouble you, sir. I don’t get into trouble with anyone, so I won’t be bothering you.”

As she spoke, Irene tried to pull the man beside her closer, hoping he would help block Mason Fu’s gaze.

But before Irene Xu could pull the man next to her away, he actually shifted to the side a bit, leaving her completely exposed to Mason Fu’s greedy gaze.

The man ignored Irene’s reluctant expression and just grinned, "How could this be a bother? President Fu is famous in the Capitalview City Chamber of Commerce, and he’s got connections all over Capitalview. If you ever run into trouble, you can always go to him."

"And I’m sure President Fu would be more than happy to help out."

The man kept smiling.

Irene Xu’s eyes were starting to fill with grievance.

"Yeah, Ryan Wen’s got a point. Since you’re his classmate, and Ryan’s one of my company’s top employees, as the boss I ought to look after you too." Mason Fu laughed heartily. "No need to be so polite, and honestly, I was surprised when I saw you just now."

"I’ve taken so many flights, but I’ve never met you before. If I knew there was such a beautiful stewardess on the route, I’d probably fly every week just to see you!"

Mason Fu’s fat face squeezed together in a broad grin.

The people around—guys and girls—immediately chimed in.

"That’s true! Everyone knows President Fu is a real romantic. Forget flying once a week for a pretty girl—he’d do it every day if he had to!" one guy teased.

After that, President Fu and the others headed toward a private room. Irene Xu wanted to leave but couldn’t, already regretting ever coming here.

“Who’s that loud fat guy over there?” Gavin Guan, bored and watching from the side, asked curiously.

Leo Liu hurried over and thought for a moment. “I think his name’s Mason Fu. He only runs a few small companies, so even if you add up all his assets, they’re not worth as much as my uncle’s Jingwei Peak.”

Leo Liu was also from a grave-guarding family, originally from Oceanport. His uncle ran Jingwei Peak here and had some connections in the Capitalview area, which is why Gavin Guan brought Leo along this time.

“Oh.” Gavin Guan nodded.

“Why isn’t Selina Shi here yet? That girl better not be standing us up.” A slim woman in a crop top stood up and stretched lazily.

“She’s not standing us up. It’s only six thirty.” Gavin Guan checked the time.

As they spoke, the sound of cars came from not far away. Everyone turned to look and saw a pink Beetle slowly driving over.

The pink Beetle parked smoothly right in the middle of all the luxury cars.

As soon as the car appeared, Gavin Guan sat up straight on the hood, spit out his foxtail stem, and squinted, eyes locked onto the Beetle.

The others all turned to look as well.

Most of the people here were rich heirs Gavin had brought over from Oceanport, and many of them had never met Selina Shi. They were all curious what kind of girl could keep a guy like Gavin, who’s seen every beauty, still thinking about her.

The car door opened, and Selina Shi got out first.

Wearing a hat, Selina faced the lineup of luxury cars and a whole squad of rich kids from Oceanport who’d driven all the way here. She didn’t look nervous at all—if anything, she seemed totally unfazed, like this was all routine.

“We meet again, Selina.” Gavin Guan grinned.

But he didn’t notice there was still someone sitting in the passenger seat.

The rest of the lines are still missing translations. Continue translating lines 37-46 with the same energetic, localized style.

Selina Shi stepped out first, calm and collected, not even glancing at the lineup of luxury cars and rich heirs.

Gavin Guan’s eyes stayed locked on her, but he still hadn’t noticed who was in the passenger seat.

It wasn’t until Selina walked around to the other side and opened the door that everyone finally saw Evan Lin sitting there, totally calm.

He looked completely unfazed by all the stares, as if this whole scene was just another day for him.

Gavin Guan’s grin froze for a second, and some of the Oceanport heirs started whispering among themselves.

“Who’s that guy? Didn’t Selina say she was coming alone?” someone muttered.

“That’s Evan Lin. Heard he’s the ‘Master Lin of Seacrest Prefecture’ everyone’s been talking about lately.”

Gavin Guan’s eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing through them.

He spat out another stalk of foxtail and sneered, “Interesting. Looks like tonight won’t be boring after all.”
