Dragon Traces Emerge

1/5/2026

"Ryan Ling..." Inside his body, the Ghost Elder screamed in terror. A Saint-Realm evil god—what kind of existence was that? Ryan Ling couldn't even handle Philip Qin yet, let alone this Yamata-no-Orochi.

Right now, the Ghost Elder clearly wanted Ryan Ling to run away immediately. If he didn't escape, there was no question—he'd be doomed.

But Ryan Ling had zero intention of fleeing. He knew better than anyone: if he ran now, everyone here—every soul on Sansha Island—would be wiped out. No one would survive. The whole island might even be destroyed.

So Ryan Ling didn’t hesitate for a second. He had to fight to the death—he had to be the one to make the sacrifice.

In a flash, Ryan Ling summoned the Hell Furnace. The Hell Asura instantly burst out, charging Yamata-no-Orochi in a frenzy. At the same time, Ryan Ling shouted to everyone: "Get out! Cindy Nang, take everyone and run—get as far away as you can! And please, take Sister Huifen's family with you—keep them safe!"

"I'm not leaving! Venge—no, you're not Venge, you're Ryan Ling, aren't you?" Cindy Nang yelled fiercely.

"Doesn't matter who I am—just go! If you really listen to me, then get moving now!" Ryan Ling snapped. Meanwhile, the Hell Asura was already no match for Yamata-no-Orochi; both its legs had been torn off. Saint-Realm power was truly earth-shattering.

"Miss Nang, hurry! If you don't go now, you won't get another chance!"

"That's right, you're the Nang clan's only daughter—you have to survive!"

...

Beside them, even a loyal servant called out anxiously.

"Get her out of here—now! Leave Sansha Island as fast as you can! Save as many people as possible, please!" Right now, Ryan Ling had no other options. He had to protect the big picture. As Hell Crown Prince, he had to care for the people—if he treated them like dirt, what right did he have to inherit Yama's throne?

Cindy Nang clearly wanted to stay. She’d already started feeling something for 'Venge,' but suddenly realizing Venge was actually Ryan Ling hit her like a thunderbolt—her heart was practically boiling over. There was no way she’d just leave now.

But the Nang clan wasn’t about to mess around. In a flash, they grabbed Cindy Nang and dragged her away, fighting to get her out. Seconds later, the docks on Sansha Island were empty—only Ryan Ling remained to face Yamata-no-Orochi.

"Kid, you’re pretty righteous. But if you think you alone can fight me—or Yamata-no-Orochi—you’re dreaming. Today, I’ll make sure you die with no grave to bury you!" Matsumoto Saikon, though pale and barely hanging on, looked extra excited. Under his goading, Yamata-no-Orochi went even crazier.

In an instant, the Hell Asura inside the Hell Furnace was torn to shreds. The whole furnace shook violently, like the flames inside were about to be snuffed out.

Ryan Ling sucked in a cold breath. He knew the next thing to get ripped apart would be himself.

"Ryan Ling, you’re ruthless—always dragging me along to die with you, damn it. You really are a bro!" The Ghost Elder gritted his teeth. Facing Yamata-no-Orochi, he talked tough, but his ghost body was already armored up inside and out. And not just him—Granny Soul jumped in too. This old couple might act shameless, but when things got real, they never backed down.

"Maybe we’ll all bite it here today, but if I get to sacrifice my soul fighting the Japanese for Huaxia, it’s worth it!" Granny Soul shouted, standing right next to Ryan Ling. She wasn’t one for pointless words.

"I dragged you both into this," Ryan Ling said guiltily.

"Enough with the guilt trip—let’s just go all out against this evil god!"

"Kill!"

Right then, the Ghost Elder and Granny Soul didn’t hesitate for a second—they charged straight in. Ryan Ling, of course, didn’t flinch either and dove in right behind them, fighting like mad.

With a crash, all three unleashed their full power, attacking Yamata-no-Orochi head-on.

Thunder exploded in the sky, ghostly qi surged—like Ryan Ling had summoned both the Thunder Lord and Lord Yama himself.

"Damn kid, I never thought Huaxia would have a youth this strong—color me impressed!" Matsumoto Saikon was secretly shocked. Under this kind of attack, even his quasi-Heaven-Tier Void Realm body couldn’t hold up.

In an instant, wild chaos erupted all around Yamata-no-Orochi.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

For a moment, it felt like half of Sansha Island had exploded!

Matsumoto Saikon’s face went ghostly pale!

But in the blink of an eye, Yamata-no-Orochi suddenly soared into the sky, letting out a piercing screech. The whole world seemed to freeze, and all three attacks were instantly 'locked in ice.'

Clearly, even though Ryan Ling and the others' assault was strong, it still couldn't deal real damage to Yamata-no-Orochi.

Just one move—and every attack was wiped out!

And not just that—the Ghost Elder and Granny Soul were both sent flying. Their soul power was cut by more than half, and their ghost bodies were barely hanging on.

"Damn it! If my true body wasn’t sealed, I wouldn’t take this crap—I’d crush this little snake in a heartbeat!"

"No kidding! If I could recover even ten percent of my power, I’d squash it like an earthworm. Stupid snake—my thousand-year-old back!"

The Ghost Elder and Granny Soul kept griping, but it was clear—they’d lost the power to fight.

Ryan Ling took a huge hit too. The fresh Primeval Heavenwood shoots he’d just grown all withered, and his whole body felt scrambled. If not for his insane defenses and the Ghost-King Robe, he’d have been blown apart.

Seeing all this, Matsumoto Saikon couldn’t help but burst out laughing: "Kid, you’re still too green to fight me! Even if you’re a genius with monster power, you’re dead. My evil god Yamata-no-Orochi is invincible! Once you’re gone, it’ll devour everyone on the island and wipe out Sansha Island for good! Hahaha!"

"I—I’ll never let you win!" Ryan Ling struggled, then jumped right back up.

Even though the Ghost Elder and Granny Soul were out of commission, Ryan Ling would fight to his last breath—even if it meant spilling his blood all over Sansha Island!

"Kill!" Ryan Ling roared, charging at Yamata-no-Orochi like a madman. He poured all his power into a single Thunderstrike Battle-Axe slash, even staking his own life on it. Thunder exploded all around—he himself became pure lightning.

Ryan Ling had gone all in, and in that reckless outburst, something inside him suddenly broke through. His Foundation-Building power, which had stalled, surged again. Even crazier, the Dragon Scale on his body melted into dragon liquid and fused completely with him!

It felt like even the Huaxia Divine Dragon itself was helping Ryan Ling!

With a thunderous slash, he hacked at one of Yamata-no-Orochi’s heads. Maybe it was the Dragon Scale, maybe it was pure desperation—but the struck head split open with a bloody gash, then snapped clean off!

"What—how is that possible?" Matsumoto Saikon shouted, and even the Ghost Elder and Granny Soul were stunned.

Normally, Ryan Ling’s power couldn’t even suppress a real Heaven-Tier Void Realm, let alone a Saint Realm monster many times stronger!

But it happened—right before their eyes!

"Ryan Ling, nice! Beating the strong with the weak—just that one strike, I bet you could fight Philip Qin for three hundred rounds!" the Ghost Elder shouted, face flushed with excitement.

Granny Soul was just as thrilled—Ryan Ling’s growth was beyond anything she’d imagined!

But Ryan Ling knew this miracle was mostly thanks to the Dragon Scale. It wasn’t just raw power—it was possible the Huaxia Divine Dragon was Yamata-no-Orochi’s natural nemesis.

No way this little snake could match a true divine dragon!

But just as he was about to strike again, the other eight heads of Yamata-no-Orochi howled in rage. For an 'evil god,' being decapitated was the ultimate humiliation. Without hesitation, the giant serpent body barreled at Ryan Ling.

Before, Yamata-no-Orochi might have just been toying with Ryan Ling, holding back to only twenty percent power. Now, everything had changed—the evil god was going all out.

The power shook the earth and mountains. No matter how fierce Ryan Ling was, he couldn’t hold out—miracles don’t happen twice.

Ryan Ling looked out toward the distant sea. Since the Dragon Scale had chosen to help him, maybe the Huaxia Divine Dragon itself would show up...
