Meeting the Red Witch Again

1/11/2026

With a thought, Ian activated his Clairvoyant Vision and looked several li into the distance.

Several li away, a young woman in red battled three first-rate warriors alone, sword in hand. All three men—two wielding blades, one with twin spears—were top-tier fighters.

Though the Red Witch herself was only a first-rate warrior, she seemed utterly at ease under their combined assault, her swordplay dazzlingly precise.

By contrast, all three men bore wounds; their moves looked fierce, but none fought with full resolve, clearly wary of one another.

Pfft!

After a few exchanges, the Red Witch’s sword slashed the spear-wielder’s arm, halting his attack. Instinctively, he leapt out of the fray, and the other two followed.

“Red Witch, we’ve no grudge with you! Why hunt us down?” the spear-wielding chief demanded venomously.

“Hmph! You murder and rob, spreading misery wherever you go. Death is too good for you.” the Red Witch retorted coldly.

“Fine! If we hold back any longer, we’ll all die here. Chief Duan, Chief Qiao—if you’re still hiding your strength, we’ll all end up dead at this witch’s hands. Let’s fight to the death and cut her down!”

Both men’s eyes flashed. Each was a chief of his own stronghold, and in the past, they’d fought over territory, so trust was scarce. Only after the Red Witch destroyed their bases did they join forces, but even now, they held back in battle.
