Living Buddha

When we arrived at Tammy Blade's cell on the sixth floor, Tammy immediately became alert. Next to me stood Logan the Living Buddha.

"Miss Ruoxi, why did you release the Green Wraith upstairs?"

I blinked and replied.

"It was John Chou who asked me to find this guy. John's whole purpose in coming here was to get him back."

Logan the Living Buddha sighed and said with a smile.

"Don't talk about me like I'm some kind of merchandise. Hey, Miss Ruoxi, I think it would be best if the two of us went up and had a proper talk with the lamas. If we confront them head-on, we're no match for the lamas in this place. There are three Living Buddhas in this temple: Elder Samuel, Master Brian, and Master Neil. These are the most powerful lamas on this land. If we were outside, it would be fine, but if we enter the Golden Temple's formation, I fear even John Chou and Miss Isabelle Frost together would struggle to handle it."

I swallowed hard. Just thinking about this place made it clear that it was a natural nemesis for ghosts.

"You seem to know a lot about this place."

Tammy Blade eyed Logan suspiciously, but he just chuckled and shook his head.

"Of course I do. After all, I was the fourth Living Buddha here—though a fake one, haha. Those three brats joined forces to seal me for fifty years. I bet they've grown even stronger now. I don't know why, but a few months ago I sensed an incredibly powerful force enveloping the temple. Did John Chou bring any other Green Wraiths? If Mr. Brown, Jerry Li, and Allen Zhang are here, plus that reckless Dean Ding, breaking this formation wouldn't be that hard—especially with me on board."

I swallowed hard and shook my head. Logan looked disappointed.

"Weren't you all invincible before? Sweeping across the Arcane Society."

Logan sighed.

"Of course. With hundreds of high-level Blue Wraiths, even if a sect from the Arcane Society came out, it would be suicide. If one point was breached, those people in the Arcane Society could only be slaughtered. So over the years, we've kept to ourselves and never disturbed the living world. Everyone just coexisted peacefully, because if a fight broke out, no one would win."

I looked at Tammy Blade, then we stared at the formation for a long while, but still couldn't break it. I wanted to try the method I just thought of, since I have John Chou's Bloodbane Power in my body. I only need my own blood to activate it.

As soon as I voiced my idea, Logan stopped me.

"Don't use it recklessly. If you cause any trouble, things will get out of control. The best way now is for us to go up and directly find the three Living Buddhas of the Golden Temple and talk to them properly. After all these years, they don't want a direct confrontation either. Outside, John Chou and Miss Isabelle Frost aren't easy opponents. If it really comes to a fight, the lamas will probably be wiped out."

I hummed in agreement and accepted Logan's suggestion. I looked at Tammy Blade, who gazed at Logan in confusion.

"Maybe this fat guy is lying to you. After all, ghosts..."

"Why would I need to lie to this girl? John Chou asked her to find me, and he stored such important Bloodbane Power in her body. I'm from the Hall of Bloodbane. How could I possibly be lying? Seriously."
