"Can't be bothered to see him again?"
That simple sentence landed in Xuan Ling's ears. She frowned, feeling the boy in front of her was just a bit too arrogant.
If it were anyone else, facing Wansheng Wang, they would never dare speak like that.
On one hand, most people wouldn't even get the chance to be questioned by Wansheng Wang in such a humble manner; on the other hand, they wouldn't have the guts.

But what puzzled Xuan Ling even more was that after hearing Evan Lin's words, Wansheng Wang wasn't angry at all. Instead, he nodded and looked straight at Jason Zhao, asking, "Did you hear that?"
"I heard," Jason Zhao quickly nodded, then turned and rushed toward the ticket counter.
This action startled Xuan Ling deeply.
"Thank you."
Victor Zhao didn't show any anger either; instead, he thanked Evan Lin.
Xuan Ling felt she couldn't make sense of the situation. She simply couldn't figure out what kind of ability that boy had to make so many successful people revolve around him.
Joy Zheng and Lucy Lu, having experienced the events at White Dragon Mountain, thought it might have something to do with Evan Lin's master, so they didn't ask any more questions.
"Alright, alright, I've already booked a restaurant for lunch. Let's all go eat together. Also, Charles, Chairman Wang came here today with something to discuss with you." Haiyang Sheng purposely emphasized this, breaking the stalemate.
Wansheng Wang nodded, "Let's go."
"I've already prepared the cars, let's all go together. Lucy, you drive and bring Joy Zheng, Evan Lin, and Lynn Chen..."
Just as Charles Chen finished speaking, Wansheng Wang simply said, "Give Victor a car. I feel a sense of kinship with this young student, so let Victor drive; I'll ride with him and the student."
Wansheng Wang looked at Evan Lin, seeking his opinion: "Is that alright?"

Lynn Chen couldn't accept it either, but she was already somewhat numb. Charles Chen, not knowing why Wansheng Wang was saying this, still followed his lead and looked at Evan Lin, his tone now carrying a hint of pleading.
"Sure."
Evan Lin nodded calmly.
Victor Zhao took a car key from Haiyang Sheng and quickly drove over to the parking lot.
Lucy Lu looked at Xuan Ling, who hadn't left yet, and invited her: "Xuan Ling, why don't you join us for lunch?"
"No need, I have something to do. Maybe next time."
Xuan Ling nodded, gave Evan Lin a meaningful look, then left with Fang You.
After Xuan Ling left, Victor Zhao drove over.
Keaton Wang, Victor Zhao, Evan Lin, and Wansheng Wang sat together in one car.
Lucy Lu, Joy Zheng, Haiyang Sheng, Lynn Chen, and Charles Chen took another car.
All the way, Charles Chen was excited, still not over the joy of being affectionately called 'Charles' by Wansheng Wang. Lucy Lu sighed to Joy Zheng, saying she was jealous of her for having such a great son, and joked about marrying Evan Lin to Lynn Chen.
This made Lynn Chen anxious, while Joy Zheng just smiled gently. Haiyang Sheng, sitting in the front passenger seat, added that his daughter Claire also thought highly of Evan Lin, which made Lynn Chen feel even more complicated inside.
In the other car, Victor Zhao drove, and Keaton Wang, sitting in the front passenger seat, was restless, asking all sorts of questions. Most of the time, Evan Lin simply ignored him, but Keaton wasn't upset.
Wansheng Wang chatted briefly with Evan Lin but didn't bring up what happened in River City, preferring to keep things unsaid.
When they arrived at the restaurant Haiyang Sheng had reserved, they got out of the car, went upstairs, and entered a private dining room.
Inside the private room, besides Claire Sheng and Nina Pei, there was another girl—tall, wearing jeans, with a graceful figure—who turned out to be Nina Pei, who had been with Claire Sheng in River City.
Claire Sheng was sweetly dressed, while Nina Pei exuded more youthful energy.
When Evan Lin walked in, both girls were stunned; he looked much more handsome now compared to when they saw him in River City.
Claire Sheng greeted Evan Lin with a smile, while Nina Pei just nodded, her eyes lingering on Evan Lin for a moment.
Lucy Lu introduced everyone, and the group sat down together.
As soon as they sat down, Charles Chen said, "Chairman Wang, you came today to discuss something with me?"
Wansheng Wang nodded, "Yes, Charles. I have a business proposal I'd like to discuss with you."
Charles Chen was thrilled. He had long heard that Wansheng Wang was extremely wealthy, and now he was being offered a business deal directly.
Wansheng Wang smiled, "Charles, you've been working hard in Seacrest Prefecture these past few years. I'm very impressed with your achievements. I recently acquired a large plot of land and would like to work with you to develop it."
"Chairman Wang, you flatter me. I would be honored to work with you."
Charles Chen was so excited his hands were trembling.
Wansheng Wang laughed, "Charles, don't be so nervous. This project is huge, and I need a capable partner. That's why I sought you out."
Charles Chen nodded repeatedly, "Thank you, Chairman Wang. I'm truly grateful for your trust."
Wansheng Wang smiled, then turned to Evan Lin. "Evan, I hope you'll join us for this project as well."
Evan Lin was a bit surprised, but he smiled and nodded, "If there's anything I can help with, just let me know."
Wansheng Wang laughed heartily, "That's great! With you two on board, this project will surely succeed."
"If you're willing, the company will arrange everything for your life in Jinnan, including your daughter's schooling and other matters. We'll take care of it all."
