Reclaiming Ditiangate

12/7/2025

Wangtian Gate exploded into chaos in an instant—nobody saw this wild twist coming, least of all Walter Huan, who just stood there, dumbstruck. Up on the battlements, twenty traitors and twenty rebels whipped out their blades and started hacking away, while the archer squads dissolved into a chorus of screams. Sixty women from Cold Frost Cave yanked hidden swords from under their skirts and launched into the fray, catching their enemies totally off guard. And just as the shrieks rang out, the gate across the abyss flew open, unleashing a hundred plus fighters who flooded in, charging straight at us.

The battlements, the ground, the bridge—everywhere was blood and screams. But what really shocked Walter Huan was that platinum-blonde woman. When he saw Jill Young slicing through the enemy with murderous intent, all he felt was pure terror and the urge to run. His fighting spirit? Completely gone.

Suddenly, someone smacked him from behind—William Bo, trying to score an easy kill. William had been ambushed by Iron Tyrant a few days ago, so not holding a grudge was impossible. But now, that grudge had morphed into a twisted motivation, and he grinned wickedly as he went all-in on his sneak attack against Walter.

Walter spun around, face like a frozen lake, and slapped back. With a loud bang, Walter was sent flying toward the gate’s archway, while William Bo staggered back three steps, clutching his chest and feeling totally winded. "Damn, that old crook’s thirty-five years of martial arts aren’t just for show!" William cursed, realizing his sneak attack had failed. Still, he dashed after Walter, determined to get a decapitation and wipe his own slate clean.

Jill Young didn’t have time to care where Walter Huan ended up—this wasn’t some video game boss fight! The priority was to secure victory and minimize casualties. Left hand gripping a broadsword, right hand wielding a spear, Jill charged straight for the fifty palace maid captives from Spirit Eagle Palace, determined to stop them from slaughtering hostages in desperation. Anyone in her way—if they were just soldiers, she’d slice them in two without a glance; if they were martial artists, sometimes they’d dodge with fancy footwork, but nobody could stop her.

The women of Cold Frost Cave teamed up with her, and together they tore through the enemy ranks, leaving chaos in their wake. It was brains versus brawn, and most of the Wangtian Gate defenders were just archers and acrobats—definitely not up to the challenge. As the Spirit Eagle Palace women stormed in, the martial artists scattered like startled chickens, and the archers? They either died or surrendered on the spot.

Wangtian Gate was conquered in no time. Suddenly, a middle-aged woman ran up and dropped to her knees before Jill, shouting, "Your humble servant welcomes the Supreme Leader back to the palace!"

"Supreme Leader?" That shout stunned everyone. Jill Young yanked Wu Zhengfeng out from behind her, and the Spirit Eagle Palace women stared for a moment before it all clicked. With a loud rustle, they all knelt and shouted in unison, "Welcome home, Supreme Leader!" Their voices were a mix of joy, relief, and choked-up emotion—truly complicated feelings.

The Cold Frost Cave crowd’s jaws nearly hit the floor, especially Han Xue, their leader. Suddenly, she realized why that young girl looked so familiar—it was Jill Young! "Han Xue of Cold Frost Cave greets the Supreme Leader! I failed to recognize your exalted presence, please punish me!" With a loud rustle, Cold Frost Cave’s people all knelt. As for the twenty traitors, no need to mention—Jill Young’s reputation as the legendary child leader was already carved into everyone’s minds.

William Bo, who’d failed to chase down Walter Huan, collapsed to his knees like a pile of mush, shaking like a leaf. Only now did he realize just how unforgivable his crimes were—he’d actually planned to grind up the Spirit Eagle Palace leader and eat her!

In the middle of the crowd, only Jill Young was still standing. Watching the enemy flee into the distance, she anxiously whispered to Wu Zhengfeng, "Tell them to quit yapping and get back to business!"

Anyone with a bit of inner strength heard her. The Cold Frost Cave leader couldn’t help but smirk, and the middle-aged woman stared at Jill in shock—seriously, who else in the world dares talk to the legendary child leader like that?

But Wu Zhengfeng just went with it and shouted, "Enough with the formalities! This is a battlefield, not a tea party—get back to fighting! From now on, everyone listens to Miss Jill. Her word is as good as mine!"

"Yes, ma'am!" With a rustle, everyone jumped up, eyes blazing at Jill. Jill wasted no time: "Ten from Spirit Eagle Palace, tend to the wounded. William Bo, take forty men and gather arrows on the battlements. Everyone else, follow me to Ditiangate—move out!"

"Charge!"

With a roar, the crowd surged out of Wangtian Gate, racing toward Ditiangate. Jill led the charge, flanked by the middle-aged woman and the Cold Frost Cave leader. Behind them came a two-hundred-strong army of women. The street from Wangtian Gate to Ditiangate was crawling with enemies—some scattering, some trying to regroup for a counterattack. Jill didn’t care; she just bulldozed ahead, flattening anyone in her way.

"You two, each take fifty and clear the courtyards on the left and right. The rest, with me—let’s go!" With Jill’s command, the two hundred split into three groups, charging in different directions. Each courtyard only had a couple dozen panicked enemies—nothing the middle-aged woman and Han Xue couldn’t handle.

But up ahead at Ditiangate, things got tricky. A few officer-types barked orders, quickly gathering over fifty armored soldiers to block the entrance. Up on the battlements, forty or fifty archers readied their bows, waiting for the signal.

Before guns were invented, bows and arrows were the ultimate battlefield weapons. In the age of swords, a squad of expert archers was a game-changer. Even martial artists with inner strength couldn’t just stroll through a rain of arrows—unless they were superhuman. Last time they attacked Ditiangate, these archers left a deep impression on the Spirit Eagle Palace women. So now, seeing the archers nocking arrows, the women’s faces changed.

But Jill Young immediately shouted, "Don’t be scared—full speed ahead!" With that, she stomped the ground, shattering the stone beneath her, and shot toward Ditiangate way ahead of everyone else.

"Loose! Kill her!" the officer roared, and the archers fired as one. Fifty arrows screamed through the air, almost like a mini arrow storm. Even Wu Zhengfeng, right behind Jill, had to hold her breath, but Jill’s eyes flashed with a ghostly light—her second-stage super-vision was already activated.

Suddenly, the arrow storm slowed down like a movie in slow motion. Jill didn’t even need her weapons—she just slapped away the arrows with her bare hands and powered through. With another stomp, she crashed right into the armored soldiers. It was like a bowling ball hitting pins—screams everywhere as the soldiers flew in all directions, totally helpless against her.

Boom! On her third step, Jill leapt a dozen meters up to the gate tower. The archers, having just loosed a volley, hadn’t even nocked new arrows when Jill smashed through the railings. The nearby martial artists rushed in to intercept, but Jill’s eyes went cold—she spun her twin spears, and Wu Zhengfeng let out a startled cry.

This time, though, her spinning attack was a bit different from the last death whirlwind. After fighting martial artists so many times, Jill had figured out their patterns. These low-level fighters had weak inner strength, and could only focus it in one spot—either on their feet for running, their eyes for perception, or their weapons for attack. Multitasking? Forget it.

Knowing this, Jill slowed down her spin, but her accuracy shot way up. The dizzying whirlwind swept through the gate tower, spear shadows flickering everywhere, leaving the defenders totally defenseless. Sometimes she’d smack or bash with her weapons, but none of them could last a single round against her.

Meanwhile, the women below had reached the armored soldiers. If those soldiers had formed up properly, these untrained martial artists wouldn’t stand a chance. But with the enemy scattered and in chaos, it was easy pickings. Swords flashing with fury, their attacks and screams echoed up the stairway as they stormed the gate tower like a tidal wave.

Just as the women burst into the tower, Jill kicked the last enemy out the window. The guy went flying with a howl, and nobody knew if he was dead or alive. The women stared in awe—Jill alone was worth more than all of them combined. Other than Wu Zhengfeng, none of them had ever seen a fighter like her.

"Reporting in—mission accomplished! The courtyard enemies have been wiped out," the middle-aged woman and Han Xue announced as they arrived.

"Re-Reporting! I’ve rounded up all the arrows!" William Bo puffed as he ran over. "There’s a hundred and one usable bows!"

Jill nodded, then pointed ahead. "Look, they’re about to make a last-ditch counterattack."
