Jill Young's Divine Archery and the Long-Awaited Victory

12/7/2025

Across the way, the enemy camp was in absolute chaos—chickens flying, dogs running, and the surviving Walter Huan hollering orders while the Iron Hammer General barked commands. The troops scrambled to form ranks, even rounding up those who’d fled Ditiangate to rejoin the formation. After the girls’ earlier rampage, over 300 enemies had been taken out, but now, with a single shout, the enemy managed to pull together more than 600 for a new battle line. The Iron Hammer General was a real pro—quick and efficient, he whipped them into a proper military formation in no time.

This was nothing like the alley brawl just now. Six hundred people lined up on open ground is enough to make anyone nervous if they’ve never seen a spectacle like this. Every step they took, they shouted, “Kill!”—the noise rolling in, not too fast, not too slow, their footsteps thundering, their battle cries echoing, enough to make anyone’s face change color. Even the middle-aged woman looked serious, debating whether to fall back behind the abyss and wait for Wu Zhengfeng to recover before making any moves.

But Jill Young wasn’t the type to overthink things. If it’s a fight, then fight to the death! She immediately barked out, “Pick 150 people to shoot from the city tower with bows and arrows! The rest, gather inside Ditiangate and stand by. These six hundred nobodies aren’t worth worrying about. Today—” She waved her hand, lightning flashing in her eyes. “We’re wiping them all out!”

Her rousing speech fired everyone up, especially the younger women, who were practically bouncing with excitement. Before the second-in-command could even give orders, the whole group shouted their agreement and jumped into action, following Jill’s lead.

About two hundred women gathered under the gate tower, lining up on the street right across from the gate. Fresh from the last fight, they’d finally gotten the hang of things and tried to form a formation. Of course, this ‘formation’ had zero organization and no clue how to use their weapons—basically, it looked like a crowd lining up for the bus, all packed together in a big lump.

Meanwhile, another 150 women took their bows and arrows up to the tower, each trying to figure out how to string their bows. Watching their awkward attempts, Jill Young couldn’t help but shake her head. These girls had absolutely zero military training—sure, there was a parapet, but not a single one knew how to use a bow. Their technique was so wrong, it was almost impressive. At this rate, they’d be lucky to get an arrow off at all, and if they did, who knows where it’d land—maybe they’d hurt themselves before they hurt the enemy.

“Alright, alright, listen up!” Jill Young clapped her hands and shouted, “That’s not how you use a bow! Watch me—do what I do!” Now, Jill wasn’t exactly a bow expert, but she could at least get an arrow to fly… well, maybe not perfectly, but it would go somewhere! She grabbed the biggest bow she could find, gave it a test pull—nice, not bad, almost as good as her DIY ones from the ancient world.

“Watch closely—left hand grips here, right index and middle fingers pinch the arrow, place it on this part of the string, and rest the arrow’s front end near the base of your thumb—yeah, not on your fingers, right here by the thumb!” Jill was explaining the basics when the middle-aged woman came over and whispered, “Don’t get careless, girl. The enemy’s got monsters on their side. Last time at Ditiangate, it was those beasts that smashed the gate and turned the tide.”

“Monsters?” Jill Young, fresh from the Pacific world, was allergic to that word. “What kind of monsters could this ragtag bunch possibly find—oh, it’s THAT one!”

Just then, a few enormous roars erupted from the enemy camp, followed by heavy thudding footsteps. Out charged three massive beasts. The enemy soldiers cheered, clearly feeling confident. These creatures had thick legs, gray-black skin, and long trunks dragging on the ground—they were elephants. And judging by their size, they were the biggest kind you’ll find on Earth: African savanna elephants.

The biggest elephant led the pack—massive tusks, razor-sharp teeth, shoulders easily over four meters tall, and probably weighing in at eight tons. Those huge footprints on the mountain trail and the oversized saddles in the camp? All signs of these war elephants. The Iron Hammer General used ropes and rings to climb onto the lead elephant’s back, and with a mighty roar, the beast charged ahead with the other two right behind. They weren’t exactly fast, but the ground shook and dust flew—unstoppable and intimidating.

“Raaaargh!” The six hundred troops cheered in unison, making the three war elephants look even more impressive.

The middle-aged woman couldn’t help but look worried. “Should we retreat first?”

“No need!” Jill Young nocked an arrow and said, “Just watch me!”

Clear vision, activate! Second-level super sight, activate! Jill Young pulled back the heavy bow, her eyes sharp and focused—the enemy looked practically frozen. To be a sharpshooter, you need two things: keen eyes and steady hands. Jill had both, no question.

Twang! The heavy bow snapped back, sending the arrow flying like a streak of light.

Three hundred meters away, behind layers of soldiers, Walter Huan was still scrambling to escape. Morale was okay, but he knew one thing for sure: never go head-to-head with that white-haired woman. Call it instinct or talent, but ever since Jill Young slapped him on the shoulder, he’d felt pure terror—like the fear you’d feel for the legendary Tianshan Child Elder. That’s why, after fleeing Wangtian Gate, fighting wasn’t even on his mind. No wonder William Bo couldn’t catch up.

Now, all Walter wanted was to run. Using these six hundred as cannon fodder to buy time was fine by him—he’d save his own skin first!

“Lord Shade, I just got ambushed by William Bo and took an internal hit—mind carrying me for a bit?”

Shadowless wasn’t much of a fighter, but he was great at running and totally loyal to Walter Huan. Without hesitation, he hoisted Walter onto his back and took off. The six hundred troops surged forward, not realizing their leaders had already bailed. Walter figured with six hundred covering their retreat, he’d have plenty of time—Shadowless would be halfway down Misty Peak by now. Once they ducked into the mountains, who’d ever find them?

“Once I recover, I’ll bring an even bigger army—let’s see how you wretches stop me then!” Walter Huan was fuming, but he was confident about gathering more troops, thanks to a secret only he knew.

But just then, Jill Young loosed her arrow. It didn’t make much noise, but in a flash, it zipped three hundred meters through the air, tracing a perfect arc toward the fleeing pair. Fast, fierce, and dead-on. Walter Huan was injured, Shadowless had weak internal energy, and by the time they noticed, it was already too late.

Thud! A flash of red light, and both men screamed, crashing to the ground. On closer look, the arrow had skewered both their thighs together, pinning them like a pair of candied hawthorns!

“Awesome!” The girls erupted in cheers, their morale soaring. A double hit from three hundred meters away—this was legendary marksmanship! Meanwhile, the enemy’s spirits tanked. Their commander tried to flee and got nailed—talk about a morale killer.

“What amazing archery! Even the ancient masters Yang Youji and Changsun Sheng couldn’t do better!” The middle-aged woman was genuinely impressed.

“Uh… well…” Jill Young hesitated, a bunch of black lines practically forming over her head.

Wu Zhengfeng whispered, “Are you sure you were aiming for Walter Huan?”

“Uh… well…” Jill Young muttered back, “Everyone has something they’re not good at, okay?”

Wu Zhengfeng was right—Jill hadn’t been aiming for Walter Huan at all. In fact, she’d missed by a mile; her actual target was the big Iron Hammer General charging in on his elephant!

Jill Young, thinking back to her archery scores in the ancient world, decided to pick an easy target for her demo—no need to embarrass herself and kill morale. The general was less than fifty meters away, big as a truck and charging straight in. Surely she couldn’t miss that, right?

But somehow, even with steady hands and sharp eyes, her shot still went wildly off course! She hadn’t meant to hit Walter Huan—he was way too far for her to even try. Yet, with that crazy angle, she still managed to hit someone, and not just anyone—the enemy’s commander! Walter Huan, you guys have the worst luck ever!

“Ahem, anyway—just shoot like I do!” Jill Young wiped the sweat off her brow and shouted, “Everyone, draw your bows and fire at the enemy infantry!”

“Yes!” The girls were thrilled—Jill’s accidental double hit had given them a huge confidence boost. The bows were tough, but luckily, they’d all trained in internal energy and could pull them back. With a chorus of twangs, arrows rained down on the infantry. The shots were all over the place, but who cared about accuracy now? The arrow storm sent the enemy screaming.

“No retreat—charge!” the Iron Hammer General roared, leading the way on his elephant. He knew martial artists were great solo fighters, but terrible at head-on clashes. Riding his war elephant, he was unstoppable—thick skin, brute force, nothing those fancy swords could do! “Raaaargh!” The elephant thundered toward the gate. The two hundred defenders looked pale, but not one backed down.

Bang! A figure dropped from the sky, landing in front of Ditiangate’s entrance with a ring of dust.

“Chief! Jill! Watch out!” Many people shouted, trying to rush forward and protect them.

“Stay put until I say otherwise!” Jill Young barked. Everyone froze, shaken, but didn’t move.

Jill rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck, then strode forward and whispered, “Hey girls, can you help me root my feet to the ground?”

Wu Zhengfeng glanced at the charging elephant and got it immediately: “To stop a beast like that, you’d need insane power to hold your ground. I’ll do my best.”

“Alright, just do your best. Whether I can root myself or not—it doesn’t matter, I’m not going down!”

Bang! The ground exploded beneath her feet as Jill Young charged straight at the war elephant. Everyone stared, jaws dropped, as she stretched out both hands and grabbed the elephant’s massive tusks!

Crunch! It sounded like bones were about to snap—everyone thought Jill would be sent flying any second. But instead, the elephant stumbled, its speed dropping sharply. It kept pushing against Jill, her legs carving deep grooves in the ground, but she didn’t look like she was struggling at all. In fact, the elephant was the one having a hard time moving forward!

On the elephant’s back, the Iron Hammer General’s face twitched in shock. He started cursing in some foreign language, trying to get the elephant to push harder.

But just two meters from Ditiangate, the elephant couldn’t go any further. It panted and struggled, digging holes in the ground with its hooves, but it just couldn’t move. Its round eyes stared ahead, where Wu Zhengfeng was gritting her teeth, face red, clearly using all her strength. Jill Young flashed a wild, sharp grin: “Now it’s my turn!”

“Ahhh!” Everyone was stunned as the elephant suddenly got flipped into the air. Its front legs lifted off the ground, it teetered backward, then crashed with a thunderous boom. Dust and wind blasted everywhere. The Iron Hammer General saw trouble and jumped off, but still landed in a heap. The other two elephants slammed on the brakes, terrified.

Up ahead, through the swirling dust, Jill Young strolled forward, calm as ever. She walked up to the struggling elephant, stomped on its face, raised her fists to the sky, and roared: “Ahhh!”

Her platinum hair flew wildly as some invisible ripple spread out from Jill Young. Everyone felt their hearts skip a beat. The enemy soldiers began to tremble, seeing her as an unstoppable demon—even if they didn’t know why. Animals are way more sensitive: all three elephants were terrified, and the two that could still move backed away, heads low.

Jill Young had eaten tons of beast meat pills and even a shard from the ultimate creation, plus she’d reached the Dragon Power stage. When she unleashed her savage aura, she was scarier than any predator. Her martial will and bloodlust mixed into her own brand of craziness. Her roar wasn’t even that loud, but it made every enemy quake in their boots.

“Get up!” Jill slapped the elephant on the head—not even that hard—and it instantly rolled upright. She hopped onto its back, pointed her spear ahead, and commanded: “Charge!”

“Charge!” A flood of people surged out of Ditiangate, and the three elephants switched sides. Nothing could stop Jill Young’s advance now. Walter Huan was still on the ground, trying to yank out the arrow and run, when he heard thunderous stomps. He looked up—the lead elephant was right in front of him.

Terrified, Walter looked up and saw Wu Zhengfeng’s cold, sharp gaze staring down from Jill Young’s shoulder. In that split second, everything clicked for him. Thirty years of declining power, Shadowless never finding the Child Elder, the missing baby, the sudden appearance of the little girl, and Jill’s weird behavior—it all lined up. For a moment, he had the wildest thought.

“Why didn’t I handle the ritual myself back then? Why did I let that woman do it? If I’d just killed the baby without all that fuss, I wouldn’t be in this mess now…”

Wham! The elephant’s tusk swung like a club, smashing Walter Huan in the chest. He flew through the air and slammed into the stone wall, knocked out cold.
