Seeing Princess Serena Hua Again

1/19/2026

Evan Chu only half-understood these runes, but Jade—the Emerald Immortal Empress—recognized many of them. She darted swiftly through the air, and Evan said nothing about her actions. He knew Jade would soon deliver the answer he wanted.

After a while, Jade returned to Evan’s side. “Young master, it’s just as we suspected—this really is an illusion realm, and a very powerful one at that. Its name is the Flower–Moon Realm.”

I can’t fully decipher all the runes and characters, but I can guess the general meaning. If we break this illusion, we’ll be able to enter a treasure vault left behind by a God-Realm powerhouse—filled with many powerful divine treasures.”

“Seriously? How could a God-Realm powerhouse show up here? Isn’t that way too unbelievable?” Evan blurted out, utterly shocked.

He wasn’t the only one; Yvonne Xuan and Luna Nangong were just as stunned. Opportunities like this were once-in-a-lifetime. They were about to ascend, so many things here would be useless, but since these treasures were left by a God-Realm powerhouse, there had to be plenty of divine items—perfect for their cultivation after ascension.

“Linfeng, it’s not that strange for a God-Realm powerhouse to appear here. Did you forget the Heavenly Shade God-King you met at the bottom of the lake? How did he end up in the lower world? Isn’t the lower world even harder to reach than the Immortal Realm? Since we’ve run into it, let’s not dwell on the why—let’s focus on cracking this Flower–Moon Realm!” Yvonne Xuan said.

The mention of the Heavenly Shade God-King instantly brought back memories for Evan—he’d gotten the Ninefold Golden Body Art from him. Though its true power hadn’t shown yet, Evan was sure that, given time, it would one day shake even the God Realm.

“That’s right. We have to figure out how to break this illusion first. Jade, did you notice anything? How do we crack this realm?” Evan asked Jade. Though his strength was the highest here, when it came to formations and experience, he couldn’t compare to the women—mainly because he’d only ascended recently.

From 'trash' to genius, it had only been less than three thousand years. Everyone else here counted their lives in tens of thousands of years—Jade, the Emerald Immortal Empress, in millions. No matter how you looked at it, Jade’s experience far outstripped Evan’s.

“Young master, I’m at a loss for now. Breaking the Flower–Moon Realm probably has something to do with these flowers, but the real problem is—we can’t find the array’s core. Without that, we’re just stumbling in the dark.” Jade said.

Everyone fell silent, lost in thought again. Evan slowly projected his divine sense into the Timewheel Bracelet—he knew that only Tom Chu could break the Flower–Moon Realm, and only Tom had the skill to do it.

If the Timewheel Bracelet didn’t have those restrictions, Evan wouldn’t be stuck—he’d just enter, bring out Jade Chu and Tom Chu directly. Now, he could only use divine sense to communicate with the Fire Golden Body inside, letting his avatar speak for him so Jade Chu and Tom Chu could come out.

As for Princess Serena Hua, Evan didn’t want to disturb her yet, nor did he want her to come out right away. Her special identity and his complicated relationship with her made things uncertain—he couldn’t even imagine what would happen if she found out his true status.

Evan’s divine sense quickly entered the Fire Golden Body, and through it he searched for Tom Chu’s location.

Inside the Timewheel Bracelet, the Immortal Essence was denser than ever. Jade Chu and Tom Chu were nowhere to be seen, which frustrated Evan a little. But he did spot Princess Serena Hua—she’d reached late-stage Immortal Emperor and seemed stuck at a bottleneck, maybe because there was no Divine Power here to break through further.

At that moment, Princess Serena Hua wore a faintly desolate look, her eyes quietly gazing at the calm lake as if lost in thought. Suddenly, she seemed to sense something, spun around, and looked straight at Evan’s Golden Body.

She’d always been curious about this Golden Body. At first, she thought it was Evan’s true self and spoke to it many times, but Evan never responded—just stood there like a statue, making her wonder if she’d offended him, which bothered her for a long time.

But after who knows how many years, she realized Evan’s avatar had always just stood there in silence. Only then did she figure out it must be one of his incarnations. But today, the avatar suddenly showed divine sense and was clearly watching her—of course she was startled.

With a flash, she appeared in front of Evan. “Were you just watching me? Can you use divine sense?”

Princess Serena Hua asked, but she wasn’t sure—she was just trying her luck. Life inside the Timewheel Bracelet was so dull; Jade Chu and Tom Chu were both in closed-door cultivation, and she’d spoken with them less than ten times. If Evan’s avatar could finally communicate, at least she wouldn’t be so lonely.

After a while, Evan’s Golden Body still didn’t speak, and Princess Serena Hua felt a little disappointed. “Guess I was too naive. You really are just a mute—how could you possibly talk?”

But just as she was about to leave, Evan’s Golden Body suddenly smiled. “Princess Serena Hua, missing me already? Surprised to hear my voice?”

The sound of Evan’s voice startled Princess Serena Hua so much she nearly jumped. The feeling was impossible to describe—like falling from the sky into a ravine, then soaring back up again. Her expression kept changing, and finally she asked, “Is it really you, Evan Chu?”

“Of course it’s me. But this is just my Golden Body stationed here—I’m using divine sense to talk with you. My true body can’t enter this place, and without my avatar here, my divine sense would be useless,” Evan explained.

“Did you come in for something? Are you going to take me out?” Princess Serena Hua asked.

“I ran into trouble and need Tom Chu’s help. I can’t take you out yet, sorry!” Evan replied bluntly. He wasn’t about to risk letting her know his true identity.

“Seeing Tom Chu is impossible. He and Jade Chu are both in closed-door cultivation—a life-or-death seclusion. There’s a natural artifact-spirit prohibition protecting them, and not even I can break it. Why do you need Tom Chu?” Princess Serena Hua asked.

Evan glanced at Princess Serena Hua—she was as beautiful as ever. He couldn’t help wanting to get closer to her, but he didn’t feel the same about Luna Nangong. He wasn’t sure why.

“I’m in trouble—trapped in an illusion realm. Tom Chu is an innate spiritual treasure of this illusion, and maybe only he can help me out. Looks like getting out this time won’t be easy,” Evan said helplessly.

“What kind of illusion realm? Tell me—I may not be as strong as you, but I’ve seen far more than you have. Maybe I can help you break it,” Princess Serena Hua said at once…
