Percy

Samuel Saunders was so furious he nearly fainted, and raised his foot to kick Percy.

But there were armed officers present in the hall.

The officer stopped him, twisted his arms behind his back, and forced him to kneel on the ground.

Percy continued, "Also, I’ve kept all the scraps from the ruined Supreme Mythril and the Fireheart Pearl. Sir, you can send someone to check them."

Grace’s lips curled up in a satisfied smile as she watched Percy.

Old Wang had been Lucky Star’s neighbor for decades and knew everything about the shop inside out.

This young apprentice’s father was once the best blacksmith at Lucky Star.

Later, after he lost both parents, Samuel Saunders took pity on his youth and helplessness, so he kept Percy close and trained him, treating him kindly.

Plus, Percy was clever and quick-witted, and a Spirit Practitioner. As he grew older, Samuel Saunders relied on him more and more.

That’s how things looked to outsiders.

...

Old Mr. Wang witnessed all of this with his own eyes.

He saw Percy's mother enter Lucky Star and heard her cries for help.

Samuel Saunders, relying on the power and wealth of the Saunders family, was narrow-minded and vindictive. Old Mr. Wang didn't want to offend him, fearing it would hurt his business in the future.

So, he snuck around the back, climbed over the wall, and called for Percy's father to come out.

Later, he saw with his own eyes Samuel Saunders accidentally knock Percy's father into the forge.

He also heard Samuel Saunders threaten Percy's mother, telling her not to speak out or he'd kill her son.

Old Mr. Wang felt deeply guilty toward Percy.

If he hadn't called for Percy's father, maybe none of this would have happened.

If he had handled things differently—like knocking on Lucky Star's door—instead of sneaking in, even if Samuel Saunders held a grudge, maybe Percy wouldn't have ended up an orphan...

Worried that Samuel Saunders would wipe out all witnesses and harm Percy, Old Mr. Wang deliberately spread a rumor: Percy's father had written his life's forging secrets into a book, and Percy's mother might have given it to Percy.

Percy's father was one of the top blacksmiths in Blue Moon Kingdom. His forging style was completely different from Old Mr. Wang's—ornate, complex, and absolutely gorgeous.

And only he could forge blades as thin as a silkworm's wing, the sharpest swords imaginable.

With his death, that craft was lost forever.

Samuel Saunders took Percy in and pretended to be kind to him, all to get his hands on that book.

...

Later, when Grace Zhu came to Old Mr. Wang asking for an insider at Lucky Star, he told her everything.

He said Percy deserved to know the truth.

So, they went to Percy's house, and Old Mr. Wang revealed the whole story to him.
