Avenging Coco Shen

The other party gave an awkward smile. "Why bother asking? Rest assured, all our terms are negotiable..."

Cecilia Gu glanced at the contract terms in front of her; every single clause favored them.

Only a fool wouldn't notice the problems hidden within.

Cecilia Gu didn't sign. She pushed the contract forward and asked, "The boss behind you is Sean Kerr."

It was a statement, not a question.

Sure enough, the other party looked even more embarrassed.

Cecilia Gu nodded. No wonder she found the other person familiar—he must have shown up in front of her quite often.

Even though she'd lost her memory and couldn't recall many people, those who constantly tried to get her attention still left some impression.

Sean Kerr was chasing after Rona Muir, so his people naturally kept showing up around her.

It was only natural that she found him familiar.

"Miss Yun." The other party sighed, "Since you already know, then this contract..."

"I'll sign." Cecilia Gu picked up the pen again. "I know that even if I don't sign today, you'll find another way to make me sign. Sean Kerr has done everything over the years to win Rona Muir back. But I'm an outsider, so it's not my place to comment. Since this benefits our company, why should I refuse?"

Cecilia Gu signed her name and pushed the contract toward the other party. "Go back and tell Sean Kerr, I can pretend not to know anything."

"Thank you, Miss Yun!" The other party was overjoyed and quickly put away the contract. "I'll be sure to tell Mr. Kerr."

Cecilia Gu nodded and stood up. "Alright, no need to see me out. Oh, by the way, I think I ran into someone downstairs. His surname is Shen..."

Sean Kerr's people immediately understood and sent someone to investigate. Soon after, someone came to report.

He told Cecilia Gu, "We've found out. That person is Shen Yu, a small-time businessman. Why do you mention him?"

Cecilia Gu replied calmly, "I just don't like him."

Sean Kerr's people instantly understood and added, "Such an insignificant person, why let him upset you? Just say the word and I'll handle it."

Anyone close to Sean Kerr would know about Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin's relationship.

So, doing Charles Yin a favor was a rare opportunity.

"No need." Cecilia Gu chuckled lightly. "My people have their own ways. Since he's not important, I assume you won't go out of your way to protect him, right?"

"Of course," the other replied immediately. "Victor Shen started out poor, made his fortune selling second-hand computers, and gradually became a minor local tycoon. With some cash, he rented a few offices in our building for his company headquarters. He pays about half a million in taxes annually."

Cecilia Gu immediately understood what he meant.

"Thank you." Cecilia Gu nodded and walked out with her assistant.

As they reached the elevator, Coco Shen finally gathered her courage and spoke up: "Miss Yun, I want revenge! I can't stand watching him swagger around with the business he and my mom built together!"

Cecilia Gu let out a long sigh. "Alright, I promise you. You have my permission to seek revenge."

"Miss Yun, we..." Mia Dou grabbed Wendy and couldn't help but say, "We want to help too! That kind of scumbag just makes me angry!"

Cecilia Gu chuckled. "Alright, I agree to let you help too."

"Really!" Coco Shen and the other two were so excited that their eyes filled with tears.

With my mom's determination, she used her dowry to buy a three-bedroom apartment—the one I live in now. That was all we had. Though we finally had a place to live, daily expenses were still tough. When I needed money for elementary school books, we couldn't afford it. I asked my dad for help, but he said he had no money—not even a hundred yuan for books. I thought he was really poor and left. But as soon as I stepped outside, I saw his son, the illegitimate one, holding a top-of-the-line game console worth thousands.

After that, I realized my so-called father was someone else's dad now. My mom was devastated, but she threw herself into work. Luckily, she hadn't forgotten her skills, and thanks to her efforts, I paid my tuition and fees, wore new clothes, and eventually went to private school. The reason for private school was that my mom was too busy working to care for me, and private school had dorms.

Did you think my father settled down after marrying his mistress? Not a chance. He had even more women—white moonlight, little flowers, and so on. That woman was busy fighting mistresses all over the world and didn't care about me or my mom, which gave us a chance to survive. But she was much more cunning than my mom. No matter how many women Victor Shen had or how many illegitimate children, her position was secure. Now, I hear Victor Shen plans to leave all his assets to her son, my half-brother Jason Shen.

After finishing her story, Coco Shen sighed. "For my scumbag dad, his son is his Achilles' heel—the weak spot."

Mia Dou and Wendy exchanged glances and fell silent together.

Is my situation too much trouble? Don't worry, I'm an adult now, and it's not so easy for him to control me," Coco Shen comforted them. "I have plenty of time for revenge."

It's not about trouble, it's that we need our boss's approval," Mia Dou said.

Wendy nodded.

Mia Dou immediately told Wendy, "Wendy, go tell Assistant A. We can't hide these actions, so it's best to inform our boss in advance."

Wendy was stunned. "Me?"

Of course," Mia Dou said matter-of-factly. "You're more familiar with Assistant A."

Wendy glanced at Coco Shen, hesitated, and said, "Alright, for the sake of my sister, I'll go report to Assistant A."

Mia Dou turned to Coco Shen. "Tell us about your brother."

Jason Shen is three years younger than me, so he's twenty-one now," Coco Shen said. "He always had bad grades. My dad wanted to send him abroad, but his mistress wouldn't let him suffer, so he bought him a college degree at a private university here. He should be graduating this year."

Mia Dou bit her lip, thought for a moment, then slapped the table. "Alright, let's gather information first, then develop our strategy!"

Wendy immediately sent a message to Assistant A: "Assistant A, I need to talk to you about something."

After sending the message, Assistant A didn't reply but called directly. "What's wrong? Did something happen to Mrs. Yin?"

No, it's like this: today when we accompanied Mrs. Yin to sign, we ran into Coco's unreliable father, and we want to teach him a lesson," Wendy answered honestly. "We're requesting permission to use the Yin Group's resources to investigate him."
