Lena Wei’s Resolve Part One

1/18/2026

Dreamabyss City, inside the sprawling inner compound of the Chu Family estate.

Victor Chu, head of the Chu Family, was happily chatting with a middle-aged man.

Victor Chu said, "Senior brother, it's been years since we've met. I've already ordered food and wine to be prepared. Today we have to drink to our heart's content!"

"You! Even as the head of the Chu Family, you're still such a lover of wine!" the middle-aged man replied with a cheerful smile.

"Normally, I don't drink much, but since you're here, I have to drink—and drink until we're drunk! That's the only way to have fun!"

"I think you're just trying to get me drunk, aren't you?"

Hahaha!

For a moment, both men couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Just then, a guard rushed in, looking panicked, and shouted, "Master, something's wrong! The young master... the young master is in trouble!"

Victor Chu's face suddenly darkened. "Speak! What happened?"

Under Victor Chu's gaze, the guard recounted everything. When Victor heard that Conrad Wu had actually betrayed the Chu Family and slapped the Chu Tyrant a hundred times, a cold murderous intent flashed in his eyes. "Conrad Wu, we haven't treated you poorly, yet you dare to betray us. You're truly an ungrateful wolf!"

"Junior brother, is it serious?" the middle-aged man asked with concern.

Victor Chu apologized, "Senior brother, forgive me for being rude. I can't drink with you right now—I have to deal with my nephew's problem first."

The middle-aged man waved his hand. "No problem! I haven't met your nephew yet. Since this has come up, as his uncle, I can't just stand by. Let's go together!"

"That's even better!"

Victor Chu smiled with delight. Senior brother Harold Wan was a late-stage Origin Core expert, even stronger than himself. Having him come along was definitely for the best.

Inside the restaurant.

Conrad Wu had already solemnly tucked the technique away, then glanced at the Chu Tyrant and the others, seeking Ian Stone's opinion on how to deal with them.

"Beat the small ones and the old ones will come out themselves. No rush!"

Ian Stone smiled, then picked up his wine glass only to find it empty. Across from him, Lena Wei quickly grabbed the bottle and refilled his glass.

"Is that really true?" Victor Chu was still a bit skeptical.

"Believe it or not."

Victor Chu was so furious he laughed. "Good! Very good! You're not from a major sect or a great family, yet you dare to act wild in my Dreamabyss City. Today, I'm going to teach you a lesson myself!"

"Careful, Master! He's mid-stage Origin Core!" Conrad Wu reminded.

"Traitor, I'll deal with this kid first, then I'll take my time with you!" Victor Chu gave Conrad Wu a cold glare, then hurled a punch at Ian Stone from across the room.

The punch roared out, black-gold fist force sweeping forward as if it would swallow Ian Stone whole.

"Dodge!"

"Careful, Master!"

Both Lena Wei and Conrad Wu couldn't help but cry out in alarm as they felt the force of that punch.

"All bark and no bite!"

Ian Stone glanced over calmly, then suddenly picked up a chopstick and flicked it out.

The flimsy chopstick stabbed straight into the fist force. With a soft pop, the mighty fist energy collapsed, no longer a threat to anyone.

Seeing Ian Stone easily break his probing strike, Victor Chu's heart sank and he grew more wary. The next moment, he stepped forward, surging his Origin Core power until the whole restaurant trembled.

"Take my Overlord's Sovereign Fist!"

With a roar, Victor Chu unleashed a barrage of black-gold fist waves, the momentum even more terrifying. Lena Wei, only at Divine Power stage, was forced to stand and retreat before the waves even got close.

"How boring."

Ian Stone let out a soft sigh, then stood up and stepped forward—vanishing from sight.

Bang bang bang bang bang!

With a string of crashing sounds, everyone saw Victor Chu's body sent flying backward.

Just then, Harold Wan sprang into action, slapping out several palms to shatter the force around Victor Chu's body.

Freed from that force, Victor Chu landed safely and gratefully said to Harold Wan, "Thank you, senior brother."

"This guy's no ordinary opponent. Let's attack together!"

Harold Wan nodded, his voice deep and serious.

"Good! It's been years since we've fought side by side, senior brother. Let's use this little thief as practice!"

Victor Chu called out, then charged at Ian Stone again, unleashing his Overlord's Sovereign Fist.

Harold Wan now held a pair of silver water-spikes in his hands.

He stepped forward, his body splitting into five figures that all raced toward Ian Stone with dazzling speed and footwork.

"A bunch of clay chickens and pottery dogs!"

Ian Stone just sneered at their joint attack, spinning his arms and unleashing pure physical power in a flurry of punches.

Boom!

With one punch, he shattered Victor Chu's fist waves and drove a blow straight into his chest.

At the same time, his fists struck Harold Wan's figures; five phantoms exploded, and the real Harold was sent flying just like Victor Chu.

Bang bang!

The two crashed to the ground almost at the same time, looking utterly battered.

"So strong!"

Seeing this, all the Chu Family guards sucked in a cold breath.

Conrad Wu felt incredibly lucky, while Lena Wei's eyes shone even brighter.
