Annihilation of Felton

Chapter 1154

Clusters of droplets, silvery like mercury, swiftly gathered around Leon. The raging wind howled into blades, and the storm converged as one, bursting out in rippling waves that flashed and exploded in every direction.

The wild wind and rain joined forces, wave after wave, blocking the other Dunespire Tower mages.

Leon raised his Dragon Staff, spitting out rune sigils one after another. In an instant, three Four-Element Bombs wrapped in law sigils were conjured before him.

Each Four-Element Bomb was compressed to just one meter in size, its surface bound by chains of rune sigils. This forced its power to the extreme, making it faster and more agile than ever.

Three deafening explosions—boom, boom, boom—erupted as the Four-Element Bombs vanished from sight. Their terrifying speed tore through the air, leaving a trail of empty voids and a crackling sonic boom cloud stretching for dozens of meters.

With a thunderous crash, the destructive force spread out. Felton’s dozen layers of shield defenses were swept away by the blast of a single Four-Element Bomb, his sand shields exploding into clouds of flying grit like a child’s crumbled toy.

The second Four-Element Bomb struck Felton’s triple shield—mana shield, elemental shield, rune shield. They barely rippled before twisting, shattering, and blowing apart.

The shockwave slammed into Felton, sending him flying as if kicked by a giant. His staff exploded with a bang, and the wild force shattered his left arm and shoulder, blasting most of his arm to pieces and caving in his shoulder bone.

Felton’s face turned pale as he watched the last Four-Element Bomb hurtle toward him, his eyes filled with despair.

"Leon Merlin, if you dare kill me, Dunespire Tower will never let you go! My uncle is a Sky Rank powerhouse..."

Felton screamed, but there was nothing he could do now. Watching the last Four-Element Bomb fly toward him, he desperately raised his mana and elemental shields again. The rune shield, his strongest defense, had already been torn apart and couldn’t be reformed so quickly...

In the distance, Lord Daugtu shouted, begging for mercy.

"Archmage Leon, this is all a misunderstanding—a complete misunderstanding! Please, let me explain..."

Regret flooded Lord Daugtu’s face, but it was too late. Blinded by greed before, he’d nearly forgotten just how terrifying Leon’s strength really was. Now, even surrender might not save him...

Lord Daugtu pleaded, but Leon acted as if he hadn’t heard. Flames burned in Leon’s eyes as Felton, still airborne from the blast, was struck head-on by the Four-Element Bomb that Leon mercilessly redirected.

At the moment of impact, the chains of rune sigils around the Four-Element Bomb exploded outward, their power forming a halo that enveloped its surface.

That halo was like a giant’s hand, violently compressing the Four-Element Bomb even further. Already pushed to its limit, the bomb’s fragile balance instantly shattered under the force.

Inside the Four-Element Bomb, the highly compressed ice and fire energies collided violently. The explosive force was trapped by the halo, intensifying the chaotic collision instead of letting it detonate outright.

When the ice and fire energies had collided halfway, even the halo couldn’t hold back the chaos—the bomb’s inner force had become utterly uncontrollable and destructive.

Rumble...

It was as if ten thousand thunderbolts exploded at once—the Four-Element Bomb vanished in an instant, and a fist of black energy swelled into a massive sphere.

The ever-expanding black sphere devoured everything in its path. Anything caught inside faced total annihilation.

By chance, the annihilation effect was triggered, erupting at its most compressed and violent point. In the blink of an eye, the seemingly mana-less black sphere had expanded to nearly seventy meters across.

Felton’s body was engulfed instantly—no sound, no breath, nothing remained.

When the annihilation zone swelled to a hundred meters in diameter, it suddenly collapsed inward and vanished completely.

In that spot, within the hundred-meter sphere, everything was gone—it was as if even the air had been annihilated into nothingness.

The surrounding elements, air—everything—began rushing into the blank space, the wild force turning into raging winds that spread outward.

Felton was annihilated—not a single hair left behind. The Dunespire Tower mages behind him hesitated, staring at Leon’s back as if they’d seen a terrifying demon god.

But now, the spells already cast could not be taken back...

Hundreds of sand spells crashed relentlessly against Leon’s law sigil shield. With such a dense barrage of high-level spells—none lower than sixth rank—even Leon couldn’t hold his ground, forced to retreat under the shield’s protection.

After retreating a hundred meters, Leon finally steadied himself. He looked up, his eyes blazing with fire.

Lord Daugtu gritted his teeth, realizing it was too late—they couldn’t just call off the fight now. Even surrender might not save them...

Dozens of Dunespire Tower mages spread out, forming a loose semicircle—some floating in midair, others standing on the ground.

Massive waves of yellow sand surged from below, engulfing all the Dunespire Tower mages until not a single figure remained visible.

Leon summoned Theo. The phantom of the Spellbook of Ages spun wildly behind him, and torrents of fire law sigils surged into the sky.

The fire law sigils formed a vortex, instantly expanding to a hundred meters wide. Patterns of light shimmered in midair, and endless flames poured from the sky as if a massive hole had been torn open.

On the ground, hundreds of meters were instantly swallowed by a sea of fire. Every patch of sand was drowned in flames, surging like a flood.

Theo now wielded the Spellbook of Ages, unleashing fire: crimson-gold Inferno Fire, black-grey Devouring Black Flame, and pale-grey Corrosive Flame. These sparks fell into the elemental sea, igniting it into a frenzy.

The three flames tangled and spread, and within seconds, the fire sea fused into a swirling mass of crimson-gold, black-grey, and pale-grey.

The yellow sand on the ground was scorched into molten, mercury-like liquid, flowing thick and clear across the earth.

In less than five seconds, the screams of Dunespire Tower mages echoed out. Those still hidden in the sand kept reinforcing their defenses, burrowing deeper and deeper.

But Leon and Theo together turned hundreds of meters into a boundless inferno—the fire devoured everything, spreading even underground and burning the earth into nothingness.

The mages hiding in the sand were trapped as if sealed in a chamber, with a raging fire ignited outside...

Corrosive Flame seeped in, Inferno Fire’s heat soared without limit, and the Devouring Black Flame, once inside a body, clung to bone—refusing to die out until nothing but ash remained.

Screams rang out again and again. Without even seeing their faces, a dozen Dunespire Tower mages were burned alive inside the sand piles...

Back when Theo wielded the Spellbook of Ages, even the Bronze Orcs—renowned for defense—were burned alive. These Dunespire Tower mages stood no chance...

The fire raged for half a minute, covering hundreds of meters. At last, at the edge of the flames, Lord Daugtu and three mages burst out—robes nearly destroyed by the heat, one mage forced to sever his own left hand to escape the Devouring Black Flame.

But as soon as they emerged, a Four-Element Bomb exploded before them—boom! The blast sent all four flying, coughing blood.

Leon flew in at speed. Lord Daugtu hadn’t even gotten up before he started shouting.

"Archmage Leon, we surrender—we surrender! Please, stop the killing..."

Lord Daugtu, face twisted in misery, led the last three surviving mages. Glancing back at the dying flames, despair and regret flashed in his eyes.

He cursed himself for listening to Felton’s idiotic plan. Damn it—they hadn’t even noticed the Tier Two Sky Rank magical beast waiting in the wings. All their scheming had only helped that beast break through Leon’s alchemy array...

I said it from the start—Leon’s strength is easily on par with a Sky Rank. But everyone was blinded by greed and forgot that simple truth.

A powerhouse on par with Sky Rank—even exhausted, he’s not someone we could ever hope to defeat.

Damn it, and he has a transcendent magical artifact—one whose avatar is fully awakened...

Maybe surrendering will make him stop the slaughter. Damn Felton—he’s ruined us all. If we’d just explained things to Leon when we escaped, maybe paid some compensation, it wouldn’t have come to this.

Felton, that fool obsessed with mana crystals, actually wanted to kill Leon. Look how that turned out...

Lord Daugtu and his three mages looked utterly defeated, not even trying to resist—almost stretching out their necks for Leon’s blade.

By now, Leon had calmed down a little. He told Theo to withdraw the flames, then bound Daugtu and his men with fire and sent them into the demi-plane.
