Who Is Prettier

Zack Zhao saw a glimmer of hope and immediately asked, "What do you want us to agree to?"

Vera Stormfox, the Violet Thunderfox, looked at the three of them, catching the relief on their faces, and said, "I want you to promise me that the youth who killed the Skyfiend Tiger will escort me out of Beastfall Forest."

Jenny Sima's expression kept shifting—first shock, then excitement, and finally joy. "You... you're saying that youth isn't dead?"

Only Evan Chu had gone to slay that giant Skyfiend Tiger. From what Vera Stormfox said, it meant Evan Chu had already killed the beast and was now safe.

Zack Zhao was also deeply shocked at this moment. Evan Chu had actually managed to kill that giant tiger and survive—it was simply unbelievable. Just how strong was he?

He himself had experienced firsthand how terrifying the demon tiger was—not even able to withstand a single blow. Yet Evan had killed it, proving he was far stronger. The title of Heavenly Dragon Academy's number one should really belong to him.

"That's right, he's not dead. It's truly surprising. Maybe it's because Goldwing was with him. But his strength is incredible—far beyond any of you," the violet fox said slowly. Even she was shocked that Evan Chu could slay the Skyfiend Tiger.

Getting a definite answer, Jenny Sima's face broke into a brilliant smile. Already stunning, her beauty now seemed otherworldly, like a fairy untouched by mortal dust.

"If I promise you, that means Evan Chu promises you. Are you also really strong?" Jenny Sima asked, her curiosity about Vera Stormfox obvious.

Just then, a violet glow flashed from Vera Stormfox's body, followed by a silvery laugh. "Who's prettier, me or you?"

The three were utterly stunned—Vera Stormfox had actually transformed into a young woman in a purple dress, strikingly beautiful and with a figure that matched Jenny Sima's level.

If there was one difference, it was that Vera Stormfox's human form had a certain part even more prominent and alluring than Jenny Sima's—almost impossible to ignore, enough to make anyone utterly entranced.

Though the girl transformed by the violet fox dodged the actual question, the three weren't upset. Jenny Sima smiled, "You really are beautiful—at least, more beautiful than me."

"Hehe, little sister, you sure know how to talk. You wanted to know if I'm strong, right? Let me tell you—even the Skyfiend Tiger would give me a wide berth. I'm in the same realm as him," Vera Stormfox said.

The three of them were so shocked by this, their minds felt numb—there had just been too many surprises.

After a long while, Zack Zhao finally said, "Senior, let's go. But we don't know when we'll meet Evan Chu—we still have to hunt monster beasts, or we can't get out."

After speaking, Zack Zhao deliberately glanced at Vera Stormfox, since she herself was a Spirit Beast. Mentioning killing monster beasts in front of her could easily anger her—and at her level, the three of them could be wiped out in a single move.

"Go ahead, kill whatever monster beasts you want—just don't touch any foxes and I won't interfere," Vera Stormfox said happily. Maybe after being trapped here for so many years, she was just thrilled at the chance to finally leave.

Zack Zhao and the others then brought Vera Stormfox back to the squad. Everyone was puzzled by the sudden appearance of such a beautiful woman.

"Zhao-ge, where'd you find this gorgeous lady? She's not from Sea Dragon Academy, right? Our academy's never had a beauty like this—except maybe Jenny Sima!" one student exclaimed, eyes lighting up.

"Don't ask who she is. As long as you don't mess with her, you'll be safe. I'll tell you straight—her strength is at least above mine!" Zack Zhao said sternly to the others, referring to Vera Stormfox.

Quinn Wu suddenly blurted out, "Are you a monster beast?"

Quinn Wu's words shocked everyone. Was he crazy? To call such a beautiful girl a monster beast? He must've been shaken by Evan Chu's return.

But Zack Zhao and Jenny Sima both looked uneasy. Vera Stormfox clearly didn't want her identity exposed, and here Quinn Wu was poking the hornet's nest—was he trying to get himself killed?

"Quinn Wu, you talk too much. Some things are better left unknown—unless you want to get yourself killed," Zack Zhao said at once, glancing at Vera Stormfox's expression.

Vera Stormfox nodded to Zack Zhao, signaling that he'd handled it well and understood her intentions.

Thanks to Zack Zhao's words, though the others still had plenty of questions, no one dared ask further. The group continued hunting monster beasts.

At that moment, Evan Chu sat atop Goldwing's back and said, "Old Gold, a bit faster—I’m worried Jenny and the others might be in danger."

"Don’t worry, Boss. They'll be fine. Here, apart from the Skyfiend Tiger, the other monster beasts aren’t that dangerous—the strongest are only sixth rank. No need to worry," Goldwing replied.

"Didn't you say the Violet Thunderfox was here? What if they run into her?" Evan Chu worried. The Monster Beast Forest was vast, but luck could always play a trick.

Wind roared past Evan's ears as Goldwing picked up speed. "Boss, the Violet Thunderfox usually won’t attack humans unless cornered. She’s actually one of the gentlest Spirit Beasts around."

"I hope you're right!"

The two continued flying overhead. Soon, Goldwing said, "Boss, I see them—right there, in the woods ten li ahead."

"Ten li? You can see something that far away?" Evan Chu was clearly surprised.

"That's normal. Flying monster beasts have eyes that see much farther than humans—no doubt about it."

For Goldwing, covering ten li took only a few minutes. He shrank his body and perched on Evan Chu's shoulder as they slowly entered the woods.

Soon, Zack Zhao and the others came into Evan Chu's view, all busy fighting monster beasts. Jenny Sima was talking with Vera Stormfox.

"Who's that woman with Vera Stormfox? Why is she here?" Evan Chu exclaimed in surprise.

"Boss, that purple-clothed girl is the Violet Thunderfox in disguise. I never thought she'd actually be hanging out with humans—there must be a reason," Goldwing said from Evan's shoulder.

Hearing Goldwing's words, Evan Chu sensed trouble. He immediately dashed toward Jenny Sima, leaving a residual shadow behind him, and shouted, "Jenny, watch out!"

At that moment, Vera Stormfox also turned to Evan Chu, a smile forming on her lips. "Hehe, the one I've been waiting for has finally arrived..."
