Leaving Easily

2/27/2026

Under Evan Yang's instructions, Megan Rain joined him in breaking the seals on the Flame Behemoth's body. Outside, Jiang Feng and the others frowned, unsure what to do.

"So who actually won?" Reverend Fang Buyi muttered when he saw Evan Yang still alive.

Jiang Feng, Boss Nether, and Reverend Fang Buyi finally figured out what had happened in the Forbidden Ground. After those thunderous roars, why had it gone silent? If Evan Yang had been killed, why did he still appear on the Heaven-Seeking Compass?

If not for the Heaven-Seeking Compass, the three would have assumed Evan Yang was dead. But because of the compass, they lingered, waiting until a new aura finally emerged from the Forbidden Ground.

Everyone saw a ferocious beast covered in battered scales walk out, carrying three people on its back—two they recognized, and one young girl they didn’t.

But no one had time to worry about who the third person was. Instead, they were stunned—especially Jiang Feng, who exclaimed, "Impossible."

"What on earth is going on?" Boss Nether had never seen a Flame Behemoth before, so he wasn’t sure if this was Evan Yang’s mount or something else.

Jiang Feng pointed at the beast and said, "That’s the Flame Behemoth."

"What?" Boss Nether and Reverend Fang Buyi were both shocked.

"Hello, everyone!" Evan Yang said with a smile.

No one could understand how the Flame Behemoth, now only at half its original strength, had suddenly sided with Evan Yang.

"You..." Jiang Feng was at a loss for words. No one else dared to move, fearing they might provoke the Flame Behemoth’s wrath. Boss Nether and Reverend Fang Buyi exchanged glances—they knew just how dangerous this beast was.

"Everyone, as you can see, this is the Flame Behemoth. He’s got quite the temper. I don’t have time to deal with you now—I’m taking him out for a walk." Evan Yang smiled, then pulled Ember Yang and Megan Rain along, heading toward the barrier exit.

"Damn it!" Everyone cursed Evan Yang in their hearts as he rode the Flame Behemoth out of the barrier, leaving them behind.

Once outside the barrier, they didn’t pause for a moment and headed off into the distance. On the way, Megan Rain laughed, "If those guys ever find out we tricked them, they’ll definitely explode with rage."

"I kind of want to go back and see their faces," Ember Yang muttered.

"You little rascal, don’t get any ideas. Just behave yourself," Evan Yang said with a helpless smile.

Ember Yang grinned, and Megan Rain said, "Let’s go—finally, we can leave this cursed place."

Although the Flame Behemoth was only half as strong as before, he had gained his freedom. Not only that, Evan Yang had healed his blinded eye, so the beast obeyed Evan completely, never daring to defy him—he knew Evan was terrifying.

Right now, the Flame Behemoth was excited—he could finally return to the Chaos World. He had no idea how many years he’d been imprisoned, so he eagerly followed Evan Yang’s directions.

Watching Evan Yang and the others leave, Boss Nether said, "Brother Jiang, what’s going on here?"

"You’re asking me? Who am I supposed to ask? It’s bizarre—this Flame Behemoth is supposed to be vicious, so how did it become so friendly with them?" Jiang Feng still couldn’t believe what he’d just seen.

"This isn’t as simple as it looks," Reverend Fang Buyi said, frowning.

"What do you mean by that?" Boss Nether asked curiously.

"Did you notice? The Flame Behemoth’s aura seemed weak," Reverend Fang Buyi pointed out.

"I didn’t notice at all," Jiang Feng admitted, still shaken from earlier. Boss Nether looked suspicious and said, "Now that you mention it, I almost forgot. Normally, a ferocious beast like that should have a terrifying presence, but we didn’t feel any pressure at all."

Jiang Feng asked doubtfully, "Is that really true?"

"Looks like we really were fooled. Damn it—if he actually had that beast, he could wipe us out." Reverend Fang Buyi said.

Boss Nether and Jiang Feng finally snapped out of it. If that beast really was as powerful as they thought, Evan Yang could have wiped them out with just its roar. Yet, he let them go.

All three suddenly understood. With a flash, they headed toward the realm’s exit—they knew Evan Yang would definitely leave through there.

Sure enough, at the realm’s exit, they saw Evan Yang about to leave. Seeing the three arrive, Evan smiled, "You made it?"

"Damn it, you really did trick us!" Jiang Feng yelled, realizing the Flame Behemoth’s aura was indeed weak.

Evan Yang chuckled, "If you’re that gullible, what can I do? The exit’s right behind me—let’s see who’s faster, you or me."

"Damn it!" Boss Nether was furious, but Reverend Fang Buyi sneered, "Even if you reach the Chaos World, we’ll still chase after you. Do you think the three of us can’t handle just your little group?"

Evan Yang laughed, "The Chaos World is huge—I doubt you’ll find me."

"If I do find you, will you stop running and fight me one-on-one?" Reverend Fang Buyi grinned at Evan Yang.

Seeing his confident smile, Evan Yang realized Reverend Fang Buyi probably had a way to track him. But Evan wasn’t afraid—he smiled back, "Alright, if you can find me within three days, I’ll stop and fight you."

"You said it yourself—I hope you keep your word," Reverend Fang Buyi said with a smile.

Evan Yang smiled, then led Ember Yang, Megan Rain, and the Flame Behemoth out of the realm. Watching them leave, Boss Nether asked, "We’re just letting them go?"

"Didn’t I just make a bet with him? If I catch him within three days, he promised not to run," Reverend Fang Buyi replied with a smile.

"But what if he hides?" Boss Nether asked suspiciously.

Jiang Feng laughed, "Boss Nether, did you forget Reverend Fang has a treasure that can track him?"

"Right, I almost forgot. Reverend Fang, with your artifact, that kid probably thinks we can’t find him," Boss Nether said with a surprised laugh.

"So there’s no rush. Let’s take our time and let him jump around for a bit," Reverend Fang Buyi said with a smile.

Boss Nether and Jiang Feng nodded. After a while, the three followed the direction indicated by the Heaven-Seeking Compass. Meanwhile, Evan Yang, riding the Flame Behemoth, flew across many regions before finally stopping.

"We’ve come so far—they shouldn’t know where we went, right?" Megan Rain asked.

Ember Yang grinned, "Of course not—unless they’re actual gods, there’s no way they could find us."

The Flame Behemoth waited quietly in the Chaos Current for Evan Yang’s instructions. After thinking for a moment, Evan said, "Things aren’t always so absolute—it looks like they really did follow us."

"How could that be?" Ember Yang protested. Megan Rain didn’t believe it either, but after Evan Yang’s warning, Megan was the first to spot the three within her spiritual sense. Ember soon saw them too and cried out, "What’s going on?"

"Did they never stop and just keep following us?" Megan Rain wondered.

"No, look at their pace—it’s not rushed at all. They don’t seem in any hurry," Evan Yang said, frowning.

Megan Rain and Ember Yang furrowed their brows, unable to figure out what was going on. After thinking for a moment, Evan Yang said, "This is strange."

"If they can keep up like this, we definitely won’t be able to shake them off in three days," Megan Rain said.

Evan Yang frowned, "Don’t panic—let’s keep moving for now."

Evan Yang had the Flame Behemoth carry them further away, all the while keeping his spiritual sense locked onto the three pursuers. Then, he saw them take out a round disk—its direction pointed exactly where he was headed.

"Dream Sage, I need to ask you something," Evan Yang said, puzzled.

"Oh? What is it?" Megan Rain asked curiously.

"Look at this disk." Evan Yang handed the artifact to Megan Rain, who, after examining it, exclaimed, "It’s the Heaven-Seeking Compass!"

"What is it?" Evan Yang asked, seeing Megan Rain’s surprise.

"The Heaven-Seeking Compass can locate someone’s position by their aura—even in the Chaos World. It’s known as the ultimate tracking artifact," Megan Rain explained.

After hearing this, Evan Yang laughed, "Now I finally understand why they always manage to find us."

"So that’s how it is. The Heaven-Seeking Compass must have locked onto one of our auras," Megan Rain said.

"Is there any way to avoid it?" Evan Yang asked.

"No. This kind of artifact is nearly unrivaled—once you’re locked on, it’s almost impossible to escape," Megan Rain replied.

"Looks like we’ll have to think of something else," Evan Yang said.

"Dad, don’t you have an artifact that can hide your aura?" Ember Yang asked Evan Yang.

Evan Yang shook his head with a smile, "I can hide our aura, but we can’t stay inside the artifact forever. As long as they have that compass, we can avoid them for a while, but not forever."

"So you’re really going to duel him?" Ember Yang asked in surprise.

"It’s possible. But I’m worried he’ll try something sneaky during the duel. I’m not afraid of fighting one-on-one, but against several at once, I might be in trouble," Evan Yang said with a bitter smile.

After all, Evan Yang’s strength was still only at the Immortal Sovereign level. Although he could contend with gods, there were limits—he couldn’t handle multiple powerhouses teaming up against him.

Megan Rain thought for a moment, then said, "We could try going to a certain place—then split them up and take them down one by one."

"Oh? What place?" Evan Yang asked curiously.

"The Chaos World Watershed is famous. No matter how many people enter, everyone gets separated," Megan Rain explained.

Evan Yang frowned, "But how will we kill them?"

"That’s simple. Once inside, everyone gets teleported to different places. You just have to find them and take them out one at a time," Megan Rain said.

"If there’s really such a magical place, I’d like to try it—maybe settle things once and for all," Evan Yang said.

"Then let’s go. I’ve been waiting to reclaim my body for a long time," Megan Rain said, eager to confront Boss Nether, who was still occupying her body.

Evan Yang nodded, ready to help Megan Rain fulfill her wish. So the three, along with the Flame Behemoth, set out for the Chaos World Watershed. Evan had never been to such a mysterious place before. Meanwhile, their pursuers were initially unaware of their destination—when they finally learned, they were shocked.
