Lynn Family Oppression

2/27/2026

The feud between the Water Clan and the Yang Clan all started with Liam Yang and Skyler Water. Now that Yang Clan members have arrived, the Water Clan knows they've decided not to pursue the matter anymore, but Terry Yang and his parents, who aren't aware of the details, still look at the Water Clan with suspicion.

Terry Yang's father knows all about the old grudge between the Water Clan and Liam Yang. Now, with the Water Clan wanting to compete, if he tells them that Evan Yang is Liam's son, Evan will definitely have a rough time.

So, as soon as Terry Yang's father sees the Water Clan members, he smiles at Patriarch Water and says, "How have you been, Patriarch Water?"

Patriarch Water scans the group, and Skyler Water and the others focus their attention on Evan Yang.

Terry Yang and his group are curious—did the Water Clan recognize Evan Yang's identity? Why are they all looking at him?

Seeing that Patriarch Water ignores him, Terry Yang isn't bothered—after all, the man's status is obvious. But he still pushes his agenda, smiling at Patriarch Water, "I suppose you want to know who this person is? He's Liam Yang's son."

Anyone with eyes could see that Terry Yang's father was throwing Evan Yang under the bus. The Wine Beggar and Lydia Yang both glared at him with hatred, but Terry's father was long used to this and didn't care.

Terry Yang's group wanted to see the Water Clan's reaction when they learned Evan Yang was Liam's son. But unexpectedly, Skyler Water walked over, smiled at Evan, and said, "I hope you keep your word. I'm still waiting for your first place."

"Thank you for your concern, Senior," Evan Yang replied with a smile.

The exchange between Evan Yang and Skyler Water left Terry Yang and his group completely confused, even shocked.

The fact that Skyler Water can walk freely now really shocks Terry Yang's father and the others.

"Don't get cocky, kid. I didn't take you down last time, but I won't go easy on you in this tournament," Selena Water said.

Selena Water's words and tone surprised Terry Yang's group even more. Did Evan Yang visit the Water Clan before? And Selena's attitude wasn't angry, but more like she wanted to challenge him.

Evan Yang smiled. "You're welcome." Then he turned his gaze to Kevin Chance, still curious why Kevin was with them.

When Kevin Chance saw Evan Yang looking at him, he walked over. As for Patriarch Water, he said to his people, "I'm going in first. You all wait here for a bit."

Kevin Chance came over to Evan Yang with a big grin, making Terry Yang's group even more uneasy.

"Surprised, huh?" Kevin Chance said with a smile.

"Definitely surprised. But I wonder why?" Evan Yang asked curiously.

"I'm martial brothers with Patriarch Water. I only joined that husband-selection for fun—don't take it too seriously. But good thing you showed up, or else my senior brother would've chewed me out for treating his son that way," Kevin Chance said with a grin.

"Senior brother? You really hid that well," Evan Yang said, surprised at Kevin Chance's connection to Patriarch Water.

"You really surprised me—such explosive power! Looks like I'll have to bet on you for first place this time," Kevin Chance said with a smile.

Evan Yang smiled. "Then I should call you Senior. As for explosive power, it's nothing much—but I will fight for that first place."

"Keep dreaming!" Terry Yang couldn't stand it anymore. He'd hoped to see Evan Yang clash with the Water Clan, but instead, they seemed like old friends, catching up. He couldn't take it.

Terry Yang's words made the Water Clan realize the Yang Clan's relationships were complicated. But as a Heaven-Battling Clan, they naturally knew some Yang Clan secrets. Selena Water couldn't help but smile, "Who is this, then? Does your Yang Clan have someone with even more potential?"

Talking about potential, Evan Yang really was stronger than Terry Yang. But Terry just forced a smile and said, "The Yang Clan is huge—plenty of talented people. Besides, he's just a bastard child."

Bastard child? Terry Yang's words made Evan Yang's expression turn cold. He sneered, "Terry Yang, bastard? What do you mean by that? Watch out, next time you might lose your life."

The Wine Beggar was furious, "Tian'er, if you keep insulting him like this, I'm done with you."

"That's right, if you keep this up, I'm done with you too," Lydia Yang said, also furious at Terry Yang for speaking that way about Evan.

Terry Yang's father snorted coldly, "What do you mean by that? No one admits he's from the Yang Clan—would saying so kill you?"

"Big brother, is that how you say it? If someone called you a bastard, what would you do? You'd probably go on a rampage," the Wine Beggar snorted.

The two locked eyes, tension crackling—ready to explode at any moment. If a fight broke out, Terry Yang's group would be in trouble, since everyone was standing with Evan Yang.

Just then, another group arrived. Terry Yang's mother lit up with joy. "My father and the others are here!" she exclaimed.

Her father? Evan Yang wasn't sure what connection Terry Yang's mother had with the newcomers, but he was curious.

Noticing Evan Yang's curious look, Lydia Yang explained, "They're from the Lynn Family, another Heaven-Battling Clan. My sister-in-law is a Lynn—she's the daughter of the current Lynn Family Patriarch."

"I see." Evan Yang hadn't expected that dignified woman to have such a background.

The Lynn Family seemed to already know about the Yang Clan's situation. As soon as they arrived, several members used their aura to pressure Evan Yang.

All sorts of Emperor Realm pressure pressed in on Evan Yang. The Wine Beggar, Lydia Yang, and the Water Clan were all shocked—the Lynn Family was targeting Evan as soon as they arrived.

Terry Yang and his group were overjoyed, eager to see Evan Yang embarrassed.

Evan Yang glanced around—three people were attacking him: two older, one young. The young man was the strongest, smiling as he stared at Evan, his aura fierce.

Just as Lydia Yang and the Wine Beggar were about to step in, Evan Yang sneered, "You really think highly of me, huh? Well, let me show you what I can do."

Evan Yang had almost finished gathering his energy. He sneered at the three attackers, and suddenly, everyone saw friction flames erupting around him, quickly spreading toward the three, as if about to engulf them.

Everyone was shocked. The Water Clan, who knew Evan Yang's true strength, were surprised to see him easily withstand the aura of three Emperor Realm experts.

Lydia Yang and the Wine Beggar's worries faded, waiting to see how things would turn out.

Terry Yang and his friends were stunned—they hadn't expected Evan Yang to fight back like this. The Lynn Family members who tried to suppress him were now forced to defend themselves against his powerful counterattack.

Evan Yang wasn't worried about his aura being weaker than theirs. As long as he had time to build up, he could make his aura even stronger—enough to push back against them.

In just a short time, Evan Yang had forced the three to break out in cold sweat, though they weren't willing to give up so easily.

Patriarch Lynn couldn't sit still—this was humiliating. He snorted, "What are you three doing? Ganging up on one?" He joined in, and his aura instantly broke the stalemate.

All four—Evan Yang and the others—were finally able to relax, and Evan just sneered, "I'm happy to oblige."

"I didn't expect the Yang Clan to have someone like this. Looks like they've got another powerhouse," Patriarch Lynn said with a smile.

Evan Yang could tell the smile was fake, but just because the Lynn Family had dropped the matter didn't mean he would. He smiled and said, "I might not be that impressive, but at least I won't let just any random person push me around."

His words made several Lynn Family members blush with embarrassment.

Terry Yang's mother hadn't expected things to turn out this way. Patriarch Lynn spoke again: "It's good to have strength, but don't get too arrogant, or you won't even know how you died."

"I might not know how I'll die, but before I go, I'll make sure to drag someone down with me," Evan Yang shot back.

No one expected Evan Yang to talk back to a Heaven-Battling Clan patriarch.

Patriarch Lynn knew the Yang Clan's patriarch's temper; if he bullied Evan Yang now, there'd be trouble. So he just sneered, "I won't stoop to your level. Since you're so strong, let's see if you can last until the end."

"No problem at all," Evan Yang replied with a smile.

"Let's hope so. Stay here and behave—don't cause trouble," Patriarch Lynn said to his clan members, then left for the floating building in the sky.

After Patriarch Lynn left, the Lynn Family members glared at Evan Yang, wanting to provoke him, but after what had just happened, they had no advantage and kept quiet.

"Cousin," the young Lynn Family member changed the topic and walked over to Terry Yang.

Terry Yang laughed, "Cousin, looks like your skills have slipped."

"So even you’re making fun of me, Cousin?" the young man replied with a laugh.

"I'm not making fun of you. I haven't wasted these years, so don't embarrass yourself when the time comes. I want to see how much you've really improved," Terry Yang said, grinning.

"Just wait, Cousin. You'll see my true strength soon. And I want to see what secret technique your Yang Clan has, to be so powerful," the young man replied with a smile.

"No problem," Terry Yang said with a laugh.

Their conversation made it clear—they were friendly rivals, but their shared goal was Evan Yang.

No matter what Evan Yang did, they kept a close eye on him, as if afraid he'd slip away.

Evan Yang ignored them and took Lydia Yang and the Wine Beggar over to the Water Clan to catch up.

Meanwhile, Terry Yang and the others chatted with the Lynn Family. Half an hour passed, and then another group arrived.

They weren't strangers—Evan Yang guessed it must be the last Heaven-Battling Clan patriarch, Patriarch Fenn.
