Cursed for Three Generations

Lily Bai said, "So here I am again, coming to see Qilin Divine Lord Soren Lann, hoping to ask for his opinion! But Lord Soren says this matter concerns everyone here, so we need to hear all your views. That's why I've called you all together today."

"We don't agree!" shouted two clan chiefs at the exact same time, cutting Lily Bai off.

The others quickly jumped in, just as stubborn: "Your Highness the Crown Prince, Your Highness the Crown Princess, she is the eternal enemy of our Qilin Clan! If you insist on letting her out, we'll fight to the death, no surrender!"

"But she's been locked up for a thousand years!" Lily Bai protested. "And back then, she only lost control because she went berserk—"

"Lucia Lu! Stop defending her!" one of the clan chiefs yelled, face red and neck bulging.

"Whoa, easy there, Chief!" Lily Bai said with a grin. "My name's Lily Bai! Sure, I look a lot like Divine Lady Lucia, but I'm not her."

"Doesn't matter if you're her or not! We're all against it." The clan chiefs were totally united.

"So you all disagree, huh?" Suddenly, a shadow appeared behind Lily Bai.

It was Bianca Whitefan!

The clan chiefs were instantly petrified...

This scene feels so familiar!

It happened a century ago too.

Back then, she killed two people with a wave of her hand!

Now she's back again!

"Huh? Old Ancestor, what are you doing here?" Lily Bai asked, eyes wide with innocence.

"I'm here to see you." Bianca Whitefan reached out and summoned over a dozen talismans. "I made these for you."

"Uh... are these Bad-Luck Talismans?" Lily Bai asked, looking surprised.

"That's right! Whoever gets hit with one will have bad luck for life—and the curse will last three generations!" Bianca Whitefan declared. "If anyone ever bullies you, stick one on them. They'll never shake it off!"

Lily Bai hesitated. "Mother, as Crown Princess, I'm supposed to set an example for the Three Realms and Ten Wilds! I only use talismans to help people—I can't use these. Please, take them back."

Bianca Whitefan looked a little annoyed and snatched the talismans back. "Fine, then I'll just use them myself."

"Who just said they disagreed with letting me out?" Bianca Whitefan asked, eyeing the Qilin gods.

The clan chiefs glanced at each other, but nobody said a word.

"No one objects?"

They still kept quiet, just staring at the Bad-Luck Talismans in her hand.

Cursed for three generations... That’s just wicked!

"Old Ancestor! You misheard! No one said they disagreed! They all agreed, right, Clan Chiefs?" Lily Bai piped up, playfully.

Still, nobody spoke up.

Bianca Whitefan strode toward them, Bad-Luck Talismans in hand.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Someone finally broke the silence, and then everyone joined in. "We don’t disagree! We agree you should leave Heavenly Pool Mountain—it's freezing up there!"

Bianca Whitefan nodded and turned to Lily Bai. "Lily, when will you let me out?"

"Will you really not hurt anyone after you’re out?" Lily Bai asked, a little nervously.

"Of course!" Bianca Whitefan replied. "Relax! You’re the Crown Princess now—my word is your word. I’d never sabotage you."

Lily Bai nodded, then bowed deeply to the clan chiefs. "You’ve all been so generous and kind. On behalf of the White Clan, thank you!"

The clan chiefs exchanged glances, all looking pretty sour.

But with Bianca Whitefan standing right there, none of them dared say a word!
