Yara Zen was startled by what she heard and quickly asked, "Elder May, earlier I called Oxhead and told him to bring reinforcements. Did Oxhead's people clash with the Eaststar Triad's men?"
May Gu sighed again, glanced at Shawn Young, and said, "Ah—if only it were that simple! You’d better come downstairs with me! Kid, don’t worry, Yara is like a sister to me, and now that you’re her man, I won’t just stand by and do nothing!"
Hearing this, Shawn Young secretly activated his 'Celestial Eye' and glanced downstairs—Whoa, at some point, a huge crowd had gathered outside Poison Bar, thousands strong!
The groups were clearly split into two opposing sides. Most looked like non-mainstream punks, but one group was much smaller, though their presence was just as intimidating. Both sides were armed with watermelon knives, iron pipes, and other weapons, shouting and cursing at each other. The tension was thick, ready to explode at any moment!
"Let’s head down—this is turning into a real mess tonight! It won’t be easy to clean up," May Gu said, frowning as she started down the stairs.
"Hey—wait for me!" Shawn Young suddenly called out, walking to the end of the corridor, grabbing the unconscious Stanford by the collar, and dragging him out like a dead dog.
"Huh? Eaststar’s Stanford! What did you do to him? Do you realize that at least half the guys downstairs are Stanford’s men, and the rest are Eaststar Triad bosses and their crews! If you do this, you’ll really piss off Eaststar!" May Gu exclaimed, her face pale with shock. She’d only heard that Eaststar was causing trouble at Poison Bar, but never expected Stanford—the most troublesome guy from Eaststar—to show up! And worst of all, Shawn Young had roughed him up!
"Hmph—so what! I don’t care if he’s from Eaststar or wherever! If anyone dares bully Yara, I won’t let them off!" Shawn Young said, completely unfazed.
May Gu was stunned for a moment, her charming eyes flashing with a special light as she giggled, "Good! Good! You really have guts! Just for standing up for Yara, I’ll support you all the way! I won’t let those Eaststar punks bully you!"
Shawn Young's eyes flashed with a fierce, cold light. He said icily, "Hmph—if those Eaststar punks dare mess with me again, I’ll wipe out their whole nest!"
May Gu was stunned—she never expected Shawn Young to say something so domineering. Looking at him again, she realized the aura he gave off was powerful and commanding, unlike the shy kid she first met. Now, he radiated the kingly presence of a true leader!
"Nice moves, kid! You pulled off Xingyi and Bajiquan blitz techniques! No wonder you’ve got the guts to talk big about taking down Eaststar! Heh heh—" A booming male voice suddenly echoed from one of the private rooms upstairs.
Hearing someone call out his techniques, and realizing the person had appeared without a sound, Shawn Young grew wary. He quickly turned to look and saw a tall figure step out of the private room.
May Gu and Yara Zen both tensed up at the sight of him. May Gu couldn’t help but cry out, "Ah! Damian Shen, boss of Eaststar! What are you doing here?!"
Shawn Young looked over and saw a man in his sixties, dressed in a loose black robe, standing nine feet tall, with a commanding posture and piercing eyes. His presence was overwhelming—like a mountain—and anyone lacking courage would be crushed by it. This was Damian Shen, the legendary Eaststar Triad boss, famed across Hong Kong’s underworld.
"Heh heh, so you’re Elder May from the Thirteen Enforcers! And who’s this young man with you? He seems impressive—aren’t you going to introduce us?" Damian Shen didn’t answer May Gu’s question directly, but kept his eyes fixed on Shawn Young, clearly annoyed that Shawn was still holding his adopted son, Stanford, like a dead dog.
May Gu wanted to explain—after all, even the Thirteen Enforcers couldn’t compare to a century-old powerhouse like Eaststar Triad. She hoped to smooth things over and avoid a fight, knowing her side would be at a big disadvantage.
But Shawn Young suddenly freed one hand, wrapped it tightly around May Gu’s slender waist, and whispered in her ear, "Don’t move. This is between me and him! Let me handle it!"
"Uh—" May Gu didn’t expect Shawn Young to be so bold. She instinctively wanted to resist, but his magnetic voice and warm breath on her sensitive ear made her go weak all over. Blushing, she nodded and stayed quiet.
"My name’s Ray Juan, just a nobody from the mainland, here in Hong Kong for fun. Thanks to Sister Xia for hosting me, I’ve had a great time," Ray Juan said slowly.
"Oh! You’re too modest, kid. If you’re a nobody, then Hong Kong must be too small for you! And you sure have a knack for getting into trouble with Stanford. Do you know his background—and my connection to him?" Damian Shen joked, but his overwhelming presence pressed down like a mountain.
"Oh, I don’t know who this guy is, and I don’t give a damn either. I don’t care about his background or connections. Yara is my woman! May Gu is my woman too! If anyone touches my woman, I’ll deal with them! Simple as that!" Shawn Young wasn’t intimidated at all, and shamelessly included May Gu as his woman, knowing she liked strong men. He even thought—if she refused, he’d just take her by force! After all, this seductive woman kept pushing his limits!
When Yara Zen heard Shawn Young call her his woman, both ladies felt shy and happy—especially May Gu, whose beautiful face flushed with a lovely red. Her usually calm heart fluttered like a young girl’s, overwhelmed by excitement.
"Oh!" Damian Shen was surprised by Shawn Young’s words, then burst out laughing, "Good! Good! Good! To risk everything for your woman—even Lan Kwai Fong’s top queen is on your side! You really are a true hero, Shawn! That’s reason enough for me."
After a pause, Damian Shen’s face turned serious. He glanced at Shawn Young and the others, "Enough chit-chat. You have your reasons, and I have mine. My men made trouble here, and you fought back. Looks like this won’t end peacefully! So let’s settle this the old-school way, by the rules of the underworld!"
