First Battle Berserker Unleashed

Clang! The sound of metal shattering mixed with the painful groans of the Gao sisters rang out—this was another Level 3 Kaiju! The wide-open hangar doors were just steps away from it; its chaotic eyes stared into the inner bay, and its murderous intent shook everyone’s nerves. "ROOOOARRRR—!" The Kaiju’s roar rattled every last nerve. Faces turned pale with terror, because in front of this monster, the wide-open Hunter Academy hangar looked as defenseless as a cake left out in the open.

"Quick—close—the—doors—!" Sacrifice the car to save the king; tough choices had to be made. As for Gypsy One and Lance—well... sorry, folks...

"Close the doors? Leave 'em open for me!" Another shout crackled through the comms, packed with a wild, spine-chilling intensity: "Just beat the snot outta them!" It was Jill Young. As soon as she finished, the black Mecha strode forward, its reactor spinning faster and faster, revving up to the max.

"Follow orders, don’t act reckle—" Cost’s words got cut off, because the black Mecha was already striding ahead. Boom, boom, boom-boom-boom—the heavy footsteps picked up speed. The nuclear reactor roared like a battle cry, and in just a few steps, the black Mecha was at full throttle. With wild abandon, it charged straight at the two Level 3 Kaiju.

The Kaiju still hammering Lance turned at the commotion, just in time to see the black Mecha barreling toward it like a freight train and slam right into its side. Thud! The impact sent a visible shockwave rippling through the air, and the multi-thousand-ton beast staggered and tumbled backward.

The fallen Gao sisters felt the sunlight vanish for a split second as a massive black shadow strode over them. In the border of light and shade, their eyes went wide—the Mecha radiated pure swagger. Then, the black Mecha swung a steel fist at the Kaiju left wide open.

Bang! A right hook smashed into the Kaiju’s jaw, sending it staggering back, dazed and confused.

Bang! A left punch hammered its belly, making the Kaiju howl in pain and double over—putting its head in the perfect spot for the next hit.

Whoosh! The third punch tore through the air with a fierce whistle, smashing right into the Kaiju’s face—

Blue blood splattered everywhere, along with shattered teeth flying out. The Kaiju that had been beating up Gypsy One looked up, only to see its buddy sent flying straight at it. BOOM—a colossal crash as the two monsters collided and tumbled into the ocean. The swirling currents softened the blow, and the Kaiju shook their heads, got back up, and fixed their hateful gaze on the black Mecha. After regrouping, they roared together and charged in for round two.

The ground shook and the mountains trembled—these multi-thousand-ton beasts moved like living earthquakes. A Level 3 Kaiju that could wipe the floor with a fourth-gen Mecha, radiating pure menace.

"Watch out!" People shouted from everywhere, and Cost yelled too: "Evade! Crusader, dodge now!"

"Dodge? Evade?" Jill Young’s voice boomed: "Dodging never solves anything! If there’s an enemy, you gotta go all in—live or die, no regrets!" With a roar, the black Mecha strode toward the ocean, steel body surging forward. As it waded in, waves crashed everywhere. Facing the two charging Kaiju, the black Mecha suddenly raised one arm, dropped the other, and shifted its weight low.

Every finger, every part—perfectly in place. The black Mecha stood like a true martial arts master, sinking its stance, fists poised like mountains, radiating sheer defiance.

"One last time—this Mecha isn’t called Crusader—it’s BERSERKER!"

Step, twist, spin, drive. Piece after piece, the Mecha’s joints stacked up kinetic energy, channeling it from heel to arm, finally unleashing it in a thunderous punch. Steel or flesh—the principle’s the same. The right fist shot up from the waist, slicing through the air, so powerful the metal arm itself trembled.

A heavy punch exploded like thunder. This hit could swallow the sky and shake the earth.

Boom! The shockwave blasted out, nailing the lead Giant Komodo Dragon Kaiju right in the throat. There was a mix of wailing and bone-snapping sounds as the beast flew like a sandbag, spilling blue blood everywhere, then crashed into the other Kaiju. The two monsters tumbled together, landing in the sea.

Everyone was stunned—not just by the result, but by the sheer swagger and bravado packed into that punch. Goosebumps popped up all over. Even Cost was speechless, mumbling, "Does a fifth-gen Mecha really have this much power?"

"No way!" The mad scientist was just as shocked. "A single punch sent a leaping Kaiju flying—this, this is way beyond what a fifth-gen Mecha should be able to do!"

As the two spoke, Crusader—or rather, Berserker, because that black Mecha before everyone was a Berserker through and through—charged into the ocean, radiating wild energy. Outnumbered but fighting like the top dog, it unleashed pure dominance. The surging waves and flying spray made it hard to see, but the crashes and impacts rang out, with bits of bone and splashes of blue blood shooting skyward.

The nuclear reactor roared like a dragon. Normally, that was an ear-splitting noise everyone avoided, but now, the power, ferocity, and swagger in that rumble hit like heavy metal music, etched deep into everyone’s soul.

After more than ten minutes, things finally calmed down. The sea parted, and a massive tail flew out, thudding onto the shore. Then Berserker emerged, right hand gripping the Giant Komodo Dragon Kaiju, striding out of the ocean. The Kaiju dangled by the scruff like a helpless chick, barely alive.

That severed tail wasn’t its own—so it had to belong to the other one. Far off, waves churned as the second Kaiju fled for its life—actually running away! In all humanity’s fights with Kaiju, monsters almost never retreat; they’re killing machines. But this one looked scared out of its wits, scrambling to escape!

Berserker let go, dropping the Giant Komodo Dragon Kaiju onto the beach with a thud. Off in the distance, a pair of hateful eyes glared back, but Berserker suddenly lifted its foot and stomped down on the Kaiju’s head.

Crunch! Bones shattered, blood splattered, and Berserker stood tall and proud.

Everyone at the base erupted in cheers and shouts. From somewhere, a cry of "Long live the Queen!" swept through the base, echoing everywhere.

On Berserker’s neck, Jill Young popped out of the hatch. Standing on the Mecha’s shoulder, she took off her helmet, platinum hair flying in the wind—a stunning sight. Jill Young gazed at it all: sky, land, ocean, so vast and grand. Somehow, it stirred something deep inside her.

She reached out, then clenched her fist, eyes blazing: "I feel it—my fist belongs out there!"
