Cruise Party

1/4/2026

Cecilia Gu spent two happy days at home.

On the third day, Leon Mai knocked on the door early, ready to take the whole family—well, yes, it really was the whole family—out in a big group to attend the Global Gourmet Cruise.

For convenience, Sophie Mo didn’t even bring her own assistant. Only Cecilia brought two assistants to help her get around.

So, counting Myron and the two assistants, there were seven of them in total.

But seven people wasn’t a problem, because the company had arranged a special car to pick them up.

With the help of her assistants, Cecilia got on the coach.

To take special care of Cecilia, the coach had a seat set aside just for her.

Cecilia smiled at Myron and said, "Your company is really thoughtful! They even have special seats for pregnant women."

Myron was just as excited. "Yeah, I didn’t expect our company to be so attentive and considerate! I reported to the company that I’d be bringing several family members, and they didn’t make things difficult for me at all. They approved everything!"

Seeing Leon Mai’s face flush with excitement, Sophie Mo and Rona Muir exchanged a glance, sensing something.

But as long as Cecilia was happy, it didn’t matter whose idea it was.

Once everyone was settled, someone immediately brought over drinks and snacks.

Cecilia picked out some dried fruit and yogurt.

Leon Mai took the initiative to help Jane Gu pick out a few snacks.

Jane Gu looked uneasy. "We’re just tagging along for free, and now we’re eating their food too. Isn’t that a bit much?"

Before Leon Mai could respond, Rona Muir had already chosen her snacks and said to Jane Gu, "Auntie, don’t worry! Since the company said we could bring family, they won’t mind spending a little extra. These snacks cost next to nothing—just think, the Global Gourmet Cruise costs tens of millions of dollars!"

Sophie Mo also laughed and said, "Yeah, even if they think we eat too much, it’s fine. We all brought money! Worst case, we’ll pay them back!"

Jane Gu knew they were trying to comfort her, so she couldn’t refuse.

Cecilia didn’t care who paid—she just wanted to have fun.

She needed to let go of all the frustration she’d bottled up in K City.
