Mutual Fulfillment, Mutual Salvation
Lily Bai: "What, from the look on your face, don't tell me you actually don't want us to break the array?"
"You absolutely can't break it!" Snow Yuan said maliciously. "Once you're inside, you'll all die!"
Lily Bai raised an eyebrow; she really didn't want the array broken.
As if afraid Lily Bai would see through her, Snow Yuan shouted in a panic, "Looking at me won't help! The lightning in that Tribulation Array is real Genesis-era tribulation lightning! Forget surviving a strike—if you so much as brush against it, you low-level weaklings will be dead for sure!"
Lily Bai: "Oh..."
"Anyway, I'm warning you—don't go anywhere near the Tribulation Array!" Snow Yuan barked, then turned and stormed off.
Lily Bai stroked her chin. "What the hell..."
...
The next day, Lily Bai first escorted Clarissa Summers and Bobby Bai back to Eastern Luo.
Then she planned to return to the Sigil Sect.
Above the Eastern Luo Royal Palace, Lily Bai opened her Heaven's Eye again to check the fate clouds.
The thick black clouds had faded a little.
But they were still there.
She frowned, feeling heavy-hearted as she returned to the Sigil Sect.
To her shock, when she got back, she found thick black clouds swirling above the Sigil Sect too!
Was her Heaven's Eye broken or something?
Why did she see black clouds everywhere she looked?
She closed her Heaven's Eye, then opened it again.
Still there.
Closed it again, opened it again.
The black clouds were thick and heavy.
Lily Bai hurried off to see her master.
Lord Faustin, Immortal Warden of the Sigil Sect, was sprawled out on a recliner, munching on Fairy Fruit and humming a tune, his feet bobbing—he didn't look the least bit gravely injured.
"Master, you really have let yourself go!" Lily Bai walked over and grabbed a Fairy Fruit to munch. "Aren't you afraid your disciples will see you like this?"
"Xiaoyu, you're back?" Lord Faustin said with a big smile.
"Yep!" Lily Bai sat down beside him. "Master, I think my Heaven's Eye is broken."
"What's up?"
"I saw black clouds swirling above our White Clan. Then I checked the Sigil Sect, and it's just as dark and gloomy." Lily Bai said.
"It's not broken," Lord Faustin replied. "The Sigil Sect is pretty much doomed!"
"But why?"
"Because we're about to enter that Tribulation Array! Once inside, you think anyone's coming back out?"
Lily Bai fell silent.
"Oh? Rosy cheeks." Lord Faustin turned to look at her. "And a new bead bracelet on your wrist. Did you get engaged in Drake Abyss? Is that your engagement token?"
Lily Bai grinned. "Pretty much."
"Who is it?"
Lily Bai: "Fourth Highness, Henry Xiao."
Lord Faustin actually spat out the Fairy Fruit in his mouth.
Lily Bai was glad she wasn't sitting directly in front of him.
"You..." Lord Faustin wiped his mouth and looked at her. "No wonder you're my disciple! Impressive!"
"Master!" Lily Bai often found him impossible to understand. "Black clouds are pressing down over the Sigil Sect—aren't you worried at all?"
