The Fight Breaks Out

2/14/2026

Even if you offered up the lives of everyone in Medicine King Valley, it still wouldn’t be enough to exchange for a single glance from my master!

What a boast!

As soon as Evan said this, Miles Wan’s face twisted in fury. He roared and stomped down hard on the donkey cart.

The whole donkey cart exploded into splinters under what looked like just a casual stomp from Miles Wan!

A wild wind whipped up out of nowhere.

Everyone felt a sudden chill crawl over their skin, sending a shiver of fear straight to their hearts.

Lucy Lu grabbed Queenie Tong and jumped off the cart, hustling them away to a safe distance. Harvey Liao barely managed to steady himself on the wrecked cart, thanks to Terence Liao’s protection!

As for the rest, most people were so freaked out by Miles Wan’s sudden show of power that they turned pale and bolted like scared rabbits.

Warren Wu’s old face twitched as he sat off to the side, horror gripping his heart.

Since your master is so powerful, Medicine King Valley isn’t even worthy to take you in. Fine! I’ll just bury your bones here by the river at Fisherman’s Pier, let the grass grow strong on your corpse, and wait for your so-called master to show up! When that time comes, I want to see if your master even dares to come demand justice from Medicine King Valley when you’re already nothing but a pile of bones!

Miles Wan’s killing intent rolled out like a tidal wave. Every word he spat out slammed into everyone’s hearts like a sledgehammer.

Queenie Tong’s pretty face went pale, but as she looked up at Miles Wan standing on the wrecked cart, her eyes shone with excitement.

The tougher Miles Wan was, the stronger Medicine King Valley had to be—which meant there was even more hope for curing her sister!

Hey! Run for it!

Standing next to Queenie Tong, Lucy Lu finally couldn’t hold back and yelled at Evan Lin, who was still sitting on the cart.

No matter how you looked at Miles Wan, he was clearly no ordinary person—and the killing intent he was showing now felt almost real, making Lucy Lu shiver inside.

But the boy just ignored Lucy Lu’s shouting completely.

Looks like you’re not leaving here alive today. Not just you—Warren Wu too. You brought this cocky brat to Medicine King Valley—what, you want him and his so-called master to wipe the Valley out or something?

Terence Liao chuckled nearby, staring at Warren Wu’s pale face. The old guy looked so pathetic it was almost funny.

“Whatever. If worst comes to worst, I’ll just die here.” Warren Wu sighed.

He’d heard plenty of rumors about Evan ‘Nine Mysteries’ Lin, but now, standing here at Fisherman’s Pier just one lake away from Medicine King Valley, Warren Wu was really starting to regret bringing him.

Other people might not know how deep Medicine King Valley’s roots ran, but Warren Wu knew exactly how terrifying it was—especially that Valley Master, who was basically unbeatable!

And now Evan ‘Nine Mysteries’ Lin had managed to piss off Miles Wan, the Young Valley Lord, right here at Fisherman’s Pier. This was a situation with almost no chance of survival.

You’re all gonna die here. But you—aren’t you scared at all?

Miles Wan’s face was ice-cold as he stared at the boy in front of him, who’d stayed calm the whole time. If not for those wild words just now, Miles probably wouldn’t have given him a second look.

He couldn’t connect this kid with Evan ‘Nine Mysteries’ Lin. After all, everyone thought Evan was way older than this!

Even after hearing from Lena Chu and the crippled Elder Mark Mu that the boy was young, everyone in Medicine King Valley still imagined someone at least twenty.

The kid in front of them was at most seventeen or eighteen, still a little green—no one could believe he was Evan ‘Nine Mysteries’ Lin, the name that shook all of Seacrest Prefecture!

Not afraid of death—because I won’t die. Even if I did, this tiny Fisherman’s Pier and your Medicine King Valley aren’t worthy to hold my remains.

Evan Lin shook his head slightly and stood up slowly, his voice calm but his whole presence icy and intimidating.

When Evan Lin finished talking, Warren Wu looked stunned, Terence Liao’s face twisted, and Harvey Liao was full of resentment and frustration. They all thought this kid was just being stubborn to the end.

The fury in Miles Wan’s eyes was burning at its absolute max!

Queenie Tong glanced at Lucy Lu, who looked worried, and tried to comfort her: 'Lucy, don’t just treat anyone as a friend. If you take that guy’s side today, he’ll get you killed.'

And about that so-called amazing old Chinese medicine master he brags about—he’s just making it up. Kids like him think the whole world revolves around them, but he doesn’t even know his own place.

With every word Queenie Tong said, all eyes turned to Miles Wan.

Right now, Miles Wan’s black clothes whipped in the wind as he stood tall on the cart—at a distance, he looked like a razor-sharp blade standing between heaven and earth. No wonder people felt awe for the Young Valley Lord of Medicine King Valley!

Queenie Tong’s heart thumped wildly, her eyes burning with excitement.

Over there, Evan Lin slowly stood up.

To everyone watching, the boy’s black hair fluttered in the wind, his face calm as ever, looking totally indifferent.

He had a backpack slung over his shoulders, looking a bit like a lost backpacker.

But just when everyone thought the boy would finally bow down under Miles Wan’s overwhelming pressure, he stepped forward, whipped his right hand back, and slapped Terence Liao’s grinning face with a sudden backhand.

The seemingly random backhand landed solidly on Terence Liao’s face, and under what looked like a casual slap, Terence was sent flying!

Bang!

Uncle!

Harvey Liao, who’d been protected by Terence, froze for a moment. When he came to, he quickly turned to look at Terence, who was still flying through the air.

Terence Liao crashed to the ground with a bang, his head lolling to the side as he spat out a mouthful of bloody teeth.

He clutched his mouth and rolled around on the ground, howling in pain. At first, it sounded like a wounded beast.

You dare treat my uncle like this!

Harvey Liao’s face twisted in rage. Just as he turned to face the boy, before he could do anything, Warren Wu—who’d been holding back his anger—finally snapped, gritted his teeth, and rushed forward to kick Harvey hard in the legs.

The kick landed solidly, sending Harvey Liao crashing to the ground with a howl.
