Evan Yang thought it made sense—otherwise, how could they build a fortress and gather so many experts?
Come on, I'll take you to see my dad," Ivy said, pulling Evan Yang along.
Evan Yang nodded and followed Ivy. Just as they entered the fortress gate, a birdcall sounded from inside. Ivy was startled: "Oh no, something's happened at the fortress."
"What's wrong?" Evan Yang asked, hearing the strange birdcall, suspicious.
"It's our fortress alarm signal. When someone causes trouble, it sounds," Ivy explained, and rushed with Evan Yang deep into the mountains. Evan noticed many strong experts heading to the same place, while others stayed at their posts.
"Something really happened? No way I'm this unlucky," Evan Yang thought, surprised that trouble started as soon as he arrived.
Right now Ivy looked like an anxious little girl, leading Evan Yang quickly to a wooden building.
Outside the building, many bandits blocked the entrance. Ivy arrived and shouted, "Move aside! Move aside!"
"Little Ivy?" everyone exclaimed, looking at the unfamiliar Evan Yang.
"Don't go in," someone stopped Ivy as she tried to rush in. This was the same person who had kidnapped Evan Yang, and he stared at Evan.
"You?" Evan Yang exclaimed, surprised.
"What? You still don't believe you're a mountain savage? Never seen anything like this, have you?" the female bandit said smugly.
"Believe it or not, I'll seal you up again and toss you into the deep mountains to feed the wild beasts," Evan Yang said, direct and slightly threatening.
"I know you won't," the female bandit laughed, playful and trusting.
"Why?" Evan Yang asked, puzzled.
"Because you look kind, and if you were really going to hurt me, you would've done it already," the female bandit said smugly.
"You really think I'm a good guy?" Evan Yang glared, but inwardly cursed. If she had tried to block him or fight, he really might have sealed her, but now she's praising him and sticking to him like a friend. Her naive attitude makes it hard for Evan to act tough.
"Yeah! Since you're a mountain savage, you can come to our fortress. I promise you'll be fine," the female bandit said, eager to bring Evan Yang back as a companion.
Evan Yang couldn't tell if she was naive or scheming, maybe trying to lure him back and capture him.
"You're not planning to capture me, are you?" Evan Yang asked suspiciously.
"You?" Evan Yang exclaimed, surprised.
"How about it? I called you a mountain savage and you didn't believe me. Never seen anything like this, have you?" the female bandit said smugly.
"Believe it or not, I'll seal you up again and toss you into the deep mountains to feed the wild beasts," Evan Yang said, slightly threatening.

"Why would I capture you? If you don't believe me, I'll give you something. If we really want to attack you, just use it," the female bandit said, reassuringly.
"What thing?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
The female bandit saw Evan Yang was interested, took out a tiny arrowhead, and said, "Stop, I'll give it to you."
Evan Yang stopped, and the female bandit stopped too. She handed him the arrowhead and said, "This is a very powerful teleportation arrowhead. My dad gave me a few, so I'll give you one. If we really try to attack you, just use it."
"What does it do?" Evan Yang asked suspiciously.
"Just channel your immortal energy into it, and it'll automatically teleport you thousands of miles away," the female bandit said.
"It's really that powerful?" Evan Yang asked, surprised at the distance.
The female bandit nodded. "Want me to demonstrate?" she said, playful and energetic.
"Don't! If you teleport thousands of miles away, I'll be long gone." Evan Yang was startled by her naivete.
"So you agree?" the female bandit said, delighted.
"Alright, I'll agree, but you can't restrict me, and you can't tell anyone about today," Evan Yang said.
"No problem! As long as you stay in the fortress and keep me company, I'll do whatever you say," the female bandit laughed.
Wow, you're so easy to fool? Evan Yang muttered inwardly, but kept a straight face and said, "Alright, you lead the way. If anyone asks, just say I'm your friend."
"Okay, got it," the female bandit laughed.
So the female bandit let Evan Yang sit on the sword. It was even faster than before, and Evan Yang was secretly amazed. He asked, "What's your name?"
"Those guys all call me Little Ivy, but I'm not that young—I'm already hundreds of years old," the female bandit said.
Hundreds of years old? Earth-Immortal level, though I don't know what realm that is, still counts as a genius. But she's a bit childish, not much different from a kid, Evan Yang thought to himself.
"What's wrong? You think I'm as young as they do?" Little Ivy said, a bit displeased.
"No, it's just your name is Little Ivy. Don't you have a more normal name?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"A normal name? Of course! My dad gave me a name, Ivy Xiao," Ivy said.
