"I'm not telling you! Serves you right for bullying me." Harriet Gu pouted coquettishly.

"Looks like you still haven't learned your lesson. As your husband, I’ll just have to enforce some family law again...!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Leon Huang flipped over, pressing Harriet Gu’s endlessly alluring figure beneath him.

Having just endured a battle that lasted most of an hour, Harriet Gu’s body was still weak. Seeing Leon about to start again, she couldn’t help but cry out, "Husband, no! I’ll tell you, I promise!"

"Heh, too late!"

Leon let out a mischievous laugh, lowered his head and captured those cherry lips, boldly slipping his tongue inside. At the same time, his hands began to roam freely over her body...

At first, Harriet Gu resisted a little, but under Leon’s coaxing, she quickly forgot to fight back and instead gave herself over completely, responding to him wholeheartedly.

Another hour passed.

Finally, the two stopped their "battle." Harriet Gu was breathing heavily, exhausted, but still savoring the lingering pleasure from earlier.

Leon Huang held Harriet Gu’s smooth, delicate body in his arms, gently stroking her bare back. "Alright, darling, tell me—what’s really on your mind?"

"Husband, you really are ruthless! Aren’t you afraid you’ll wear me out completely?" Harriet Gu shot him a glare. Hearing this, Leon’s hand suddenly slid down and grabbed her perky bottom, making Harriet shiver in fright. "Husband, I really can’t take it anymore. Please, have mercy on me!"

"In that case, spit it out!" Leon said, pretending to be fierce.

"Actually, I want you to take in Lynn Ning," Harriet said, sounding a bit aggrieved.

"What do you mean by that, darling?" Leon was startled, wondering if Harriet had discovered his ambiguous relationship with Lynn and was testing him.

Harriet chuckled softly. "Don’t worry, I’m being sincere. Surely you’ve noticed how Lynn’s whole heart is tied to you? Since that’s the case, why not make her yours? Besides, you’re as strong as an ox—there’s no way I can keep up with you. If Lynn helped share the load, I’d be a lot more relaxed!"

"You really mean that?" Leon looked at her.

Harriet nodded.

Seeing this, Leon finally relaxed. "Alright then, I’ll find a chance to ask Lynn how she feels. If she’s willing, I’ll marry her into the family."

"Of course Lynn will agree. Haven’t you noticed how she always looks so wistful whenever she sees us together?" Harriet laughed.

The next morning.

After getting dressed, Leon Huang stepped into the courtyard. Harriet Gu was still fast asleep, worn out from the night before.

Lynn Ning had already gotten up early, made breakfast, and brought Leon a basin of water for washing up as soon as she saw him.

"Brother Huang, why isn’t Sister Harriet up yet?" Lynn asked.

"She’s just too tired, so let her sleep a bit longer," Leon replied with a smile.

Lynn nodded, half-understanding. "Oh. I’ve already prepared breakfast for you, Brother Huang."

"Lynn, you’re so virtuous—whoever marries you will be blessed for eight lifetimes," Leon teased, affectionately tapping her nose.

Hearing this, Lynn froze, her eyes misting over. "Brother Huang, I don’t want to marry anyone. I want to serve you for life."

"Not even willing to marry Brother Huang?" Leon said, purposely putting on a stern face.

"Ah!"

Startled by Leon’s words, Lynn’s big, adorable eyes went wide, and her pretty face flushed. "Brother Huang, what are you saying? I didn’t hear you clearly."

Leon reached out and gently pulled Lynn’s petite, delicate body into his arms, whispering, "Brother Huang wants to ask you—if I marry you, will you say yes?"

"I... I..."

"What is it? You don’t want to?" Leon teased.

"No, I do want to! But... will Sister Harriet be upset?" Lynn was both happy and worried.

“No, I want to! I really do! But… will Harriet be upset?” Lynn’s heart was both excited and anxious.

"Don’t worry. If you marry me, Harriet will be absolutely delighted," Leon said with a smile.

Hearing this, Leon couldn’t help but think to himself, Silly girl, your Sister Harriet just wants help sharing the burden.

Leon scheduled the wedding with Lynn for half a month later. He’d planned to throw a big celebration, but Lynn didn’t care about any of that—she just wanted to stay by Leon’s side.

Three days flew by in a blink.

Soon enough, it was time for Elder Norman Nian’s big banquet—every major power in Holy City was invited.

The Nian residence was packed, buzzing with guests.

Suddenly, someone announced, "Elder Chu is here!"

Elder Chu strode into the banquet hall, flanked by four Martial Saints.

Honestly, Elder Chu was just as confused—she had no idea what Elder Nian was planning with this banquet.

Then Elder Zachary Zhang, Elder Leonard Li, Elder Howard Huangpu, Elder Gerald Jiang, and the rest arrived one after another.

Strangely, although most of the guests had already arrived, the host, Elder Norman Nian, was nowhere to be seen. This left many people rather displeased—after all, the Military Council was on the verge of collapse, so why was he still putting on airs?

"Mr. Xander Xuanyuan, leader of the High Heaven Alliance, has arrived!"

"Tanner Nangong, Sect Master of Heavenly Dragon Sect, has arrived!"

"Harvey Huangpu, Sect Master of Heavenly Tiger Sect, has arrived!"

"Zhuge Qingyang, Sect Master of Heavenly Elephant Sect, has arrived!"
