Evan Lin's words drifted through everyone's hearts.
The wind and snow summoned by Master Morgan's finger were still closing in, planning to utterly destroy Evan Lin.
That blizzard seemed utterly unstoppable—even the raging fire dragon was instantly snuffed out by the freezing cold the moment it touched it.
Yet now, just as that powerful storm of wind and snow was about to reach Evan Lin...
Evan Lin sliced his fingertip, letting a drop of blood fall.
That single drop of blood fell from his fingertip, slipped through the air, and finally seeped into the ground, vanishing from sight.
"What is he doing?"
"No idea."
"Master Lin from Seacrest—is he trying to cut his own wrist or something?"
Those standing a bit farther away couldn’t see clearly—after Evan Lin finished speaking, he moved his finger, but no one could make out what exactly he did.
"He probably really has admitted defeat. Master Morgan spent decades in seclusion, and this move is the culmination of all his cultivation. What could Master Lin from Seacrest possibly use to fight him? There’s not a shred of hope!" Master Yan shook his head and sighed.
"Quit the act—just die already!"
Master Morgan’s face darkened as he roared.
The blizzard, layer upon layer, was about to completely engulf Evan Lin.
But before the snow could reach him...
The Thousand-Saints Mountain, once blanketed in pure white snow, suddenly saw streaks of white mist rising from the ground.
"Why do I feel so hot all of a sudden?"
"Isn’t it still snowing? Maybe we’re just too worked up."
"I can’t take it anymore!"
Down below, the crowd bundled up in down jackets and cotton coats all started breathing heavily, unable to resist tugging at their clothes.
"What’s going on? I’m sweating!"
Sisi Shao wiped the sweat from her forehead, looking around in confusion.
It was clearly still snowing from the sky. Even with the sun out, there was no warmth—this was supposed to be the coldest time of year, and standing on Thousand-Saints Mountain should’ve made it even colder.
"I think... the ground is hot."
Next to Sisi Shao, Lynn Chen gave the ground a strange look.
All around, Thousand-Saints Mountain was still a sea of white, but now the snow on the ground had already started to melt.
Because of the melting snow, more and more white mist rose up, making the whole mountain look like it was shrouded in clouds.
The snow was melting faster and faster, and the temperature kept rising.
The snow turned to water, revealing the brownish-yellow earth buried beneath Thousand-Saints Mountain.
The crowd of onlookers grew increasingly uneasy.
In everyone’s eyes, the massive blizzard Master Morgan had summoned was already right in front of Master Lin from Seacrest—about to swallow him whole in the very next second!
Boom!
The raging blizzard crashed in from all directions, slamming into Evan Lin in an instant.
Almost at the same time, the sound of surging waves exploded all around.
The sound of water gurgled and flowed.
The moment the blizzard touched Evan Lin, all of it melted into water, obediently swirling around him, transforming into a water dragon.
It was like a river reversing its course—a new, colossal dragon now floated across the world!
This water dragon was even larger and more imposing than before, exuding a fierce, intimidating presence.
"Impossible!"
Master Morgan’s eyes widened in horror as he cried out.
Just a moment ago it was all snow, but now, in an instant, it had turned to water!
"Your blood commands wind and snow. My blood melts solid ice."
"With a single drop of blood, I set the entire mountain ablaze."
"You may rest in peace now."
Evan Lin spoke indifferently, reaching out to touch the water dragon swirling before him.
As he finished speaking, Evan Lin waved his right hand lightly. The water dragon, as if summoned, lifted its head and soared into the sky.
On Thousand-Saints Mountain, all the melted snow rushed toward the sky, converging on the water dragon.
In midair, the water streamed into the dragon, constantly forming new segments of its body. The dragon floating above the clouds grew larger at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Until not a trace of wind, snow, or even a single drop of water remained anywhere on Thousand-Saints Mountain!
Everyone instinctively looked up at the sky, seeing the water dragon grow from a hundred tons to a thousand tons in mass.
After the very last drop of water merged with the dragon, it roared arrogantly and dove down from the sky, aiming straight for Master Morgan.
The air itself seemed to boil and churn!
In that instant, heaven and earth changed color!
"Break for me!"
Gritting his teeth, Master Morgan spat another mouthful of blood, pointed with his right hand, and gathered all his remaining inner force into a single point.
The next moment, a surge of powerful, transparent force erupted in front of Master Morgan. He shaped it into a sword of pure energy, trying to behead the dragon once more!
But this time, the water dragon swallowed the sword whole, and in the next instant, a thousand tons of water crashed down on Master Morgan.
Boom!
The massive waves smashed the cliff-top, utterly demolishing it.
When everything finally calmed down, all that was left were the shattered remains of Master Morgan’s body, scattered by the torrent.
"Today, we bury Master Morgan."
Evan Lin spoke calmly, then turned to look at the headless bronze statue behind him, his gaze deep and contemplative.
February 14th.
Master Morgan, slain on Thousand-Saints Mountain!
No one in the crowd dared utter a word. They looked up at the youth standing atop the mountain, blazing like fire—eyes filled only with awe and submission.
"Morgan... is dead..." Master Yan murmured, unable to believe it.
"He... he won." Faye Zheng’s eyes lit up, looking at Evan Lin with growing excitement.
"From today on, Master Lin from Seacrest’s reputation is truly cemented." Tyler Tu’s face was gloomy as he gazed at Morgan’s corpse, shaken to the core.
If that water dragon had come for him, he’d be dead and gone too—no trace left behind!
"He’s terrifying. Is he even human?" Sisi Shao swallowed hard; beside her, Liam Li and Simon Li were trembling, faces pale.
Lynn Chen stared blankly at the figure atop the mountain. He looked so much like Evan Lin, yet somehow different.
"A true martial arts master! There really are martial arts masters in this world!" Victor Zhou cried out, then promptly fainted from shock.
Mia Chen’s mind was utterly shaken, a chaotic mess.
"Someone, collect the body."
Evan Lin descended from the mountaintop, passing by Summer Mu and leaving behind a cool, indifferent remark.
Not far behind Summer Mu, Megan Liu watched Evan Lin with complicated eyes. She opened her mouth to speak, but swallowed the words.
They brushed past each other.
Evan Lin didn’t glance back.
The crowd automatically parted to make way for him.
As Mia Chen watched Master Lin from Seacrest pass by, she noticed his clothes were nearly identical to Evan Lin’s. Her heart skipped a beat, but when she looked closer and saw Master Lin’s eyes burning like molten lava, she dismissed the thought.
Evan Lin walked down the steps, slowly putting on his hat.
As he donned the hat, Evan Lin’s hair and eyes gradually returned to pitch black.
Heaven and earth—wind and snow, as ever.
