Without the Dao Domain as a reference point, and unable to find Xavier White, Joe Di realized that his chances of returning to the Immortal Realm were now very slim. Though his flesh and bones were constantly torn apart and restored, Joe Di still chose not to enter the Ninth World. He had honed his body precisely for situations like this. Besides, if he did enter the Ninth World, his speed would slow down dramatically.
Joe Di only hoped to leave this place as soon as possible, rather than wasting time in the Ninth World. If that were the case, he might as well have entered the Ninth World directly while in the void, without bothering with the rift.
