After observing Kade Santos for a while and seeing no movement, the Lynn Family instead witnessed a scene of anger.
After Evan Yang finished laughing and stepped outside, he saw Lexi Lynn storming out of a nearby room, looking so furious she seemed ready to kill someone.
"He's at home," Cyril Shaw sighed.
Curious, Evan Yang followed Lexi Lynn to see what she was planning.
He watched as she left the Shaw estate and headed straight for a certain place, then entered a shop.
"Sigh, I'll head back too," Cyril Shaw said helplessly.
Just then, an angry voice rang out from inside the equipment shop: "Quick, get your young master out here! Or else you'll regret it!"
Cyril Shaw didn’t quite understand Lexi’s personality and had no idea what Landon meant, until Landon awkwardly explained, “She might end up living at your place for a while. She’s always wanted to stay there, but I wouldn’t allow it—people might gossip. But seeing how things are now, I can’t stop her anymore.”
"It's no trouble. I'll have the servants take good care of her," Cyril Shaw replied once he understood.
He arrived just in time to see Lexi Lynn furiously smashing things inside.
Kade's bodyguard reacted instantly, darting forward to grab the item in Lexi Lynn's hand and toss it to the floor.
"Miss Lynn, what is the meaning of this?" Kade Santos asked, completely confused.
"Kade Santos, you finally showed up! I challenge you to a duel!" Lexi Lynn shouted, rushing at him, intent on fighting.
"A duel? Miss Lynn, I haven't offended you!" Kade Santos protested, clearly unhappy at being called out.
"You didn't offend me? But you injured Brother Tanner! He can't even see clearly now!" Lexi Lynn yelled.
Kade Santos was surprised to hear that Tanner Shaw couldn't see. "Miss Lynn, I already apologized for injuring Brother Tanner, but what do you mean he can't see clearly?" he asked, feigning confusion.
Lexi Lynn, seeing Kade Santos act like a hypocrite, snapped, "It's all your fault! You hurt him, and now he's left with aftereffects—he can't even see!"
Hearing this, Kade Santos was secretly delighted. He'd been annoyed that Tanner Shaw had survived last time, but if he'd been left blind, that was just as satisfying. His puzzled look turned into a smile. "Miss Lynn, I've already apologized for that. What more do you want?"
"What do I want? Of course I want revenge for Brother Tanner!" Lexi Lynn shouted, flashing forward to strike at Kade Santos.
The crowd quickly scattered, while Kade Santos snorted, "Miss Lynn, you're the one forcing my hand. If you get hurt, don't blame me!" Inwardly, he was already laughing. "If I injure you, the Lynn Family can't blame me—you're the one who started it. Foolish woman."
Lexi Lynn, blinded by rage, just wanted to teach Kade Santos a lesson. But Kade struck fiercely, blocking her punch with one hand and preparing to launch another.
His next punch was aimed straight at Lexi Lynn's dantian, but he kept up the act. "Miss Lynn, you're being unreasonable today. If you get hurt, don't blame me!"
"Hmph, I'm not afraid of you!" Lexi Lynn snorted.
Kade Santos raised his voice, "If you keep this up, I'll have to fight back!"
On Northridge Star, the rules forbid the Ten Great Families from crippling each other's direct descendants, but they don't stop someone from retaliating after repeated provocation, or from defending themselves against attacks.
"Miss Lynn, things are as they are, so don't worry too much." Cyril Shaw felt helpless about Tanner's situation, but he hoped that after ten years Tanner would recover. For him, ten years wasn't too long.
Lexi Lynn had no idea she was being set up by Kade Santos, nor did she realize how powerful his punch was—if it landed, her dantian would be destroyed for sure.
Cyril Shaw had already expected this, so he nodded, "Your father told me, so I've already prepared a room for you. I'll have them take you there now." He called several maids and instructed them to take good care of the Lynn Family's young lady.
Kade Santos snorted, blocked her attack with one hand, and repeated his earlier move. This time he said nothing, just laughed inwardly as his punch surged in power, ready to strike.
"So he was hiding his strength!" Evan Yang was shocked. The force of Kade Santos's punch revealed his true power, and with Evan's strong divine sense, he instantly grasped Kade's real cultivation.
Lexi Lynn sensed just how terrifying the incoming punch was before it landed.
A voice rang out from not far away: "Stop!"
It was Landon Lynn. After receiving word, he spread his divine sense, saw Kade Santos's attack, and realized Lexi Lynn would be seriously hurt—or even lose her cultivation—if this continued.
Landon Lynn rushed over at full speed. Seeing Kade's fist about to land, he shouted urgently.
Kade Santos recognized Landon Lynn's voice, but inwardly laughed. "You're too late. I'll make sure your Lynn Family knows the Santos Family isn't to be messed with. With so many witnesses, I'm not afraid of you reporting me to the Old Man of Northridge!"
A little while after Cyril Shaw left, Evan Yang closed the door and couldn't help but laugh. "This is what you call bringing trouble on yourself."
"You still have the nerve to laugh?" Tanner Shaw's face was gloomier than ever.
"You're the one who came up with this crazy idea. Now enjoy the next ten years of being doted on." Evan Yang laughed.
"Me? Who could've guessed it would turn out like this?" Tanner Shaw was beyond frustrated, wanting to argue but not knowing where to start.
"Alright, you should just get some rest. Who knows, she might come back again soon." Evan Yang said with a smile as he left.
