Princess Mira thought of Professor Jade Evans, and her blood started boiling with excitement. She immediately turned into a woman of action, secretly grabbed an invitation, and snuck out by climbing over the wall.
But once she got to the street, Princess Mira remembered—it was still the New Year festival, and the Royal Academy of Mathematics was on holiday. She wasn't even sure if Professor Jade Evans was at the academy.
If he wasn't at the academy, Princess Mira realized she had no idea where Professor Jade Evans lived.
"Well, let's try my luck at the academy first!" Princess Mira called for a carriage and headed to the Royal Academy of Mathematics.
Upon arrival, she found the academy completely deserted—students and teachers had all gone home for the New Year, and only two gatekeepers remained.
Princess Mira went up to ask and was told that Professor Jade Evans wasn't there.
Princess Mira tried to ask about Professor Jade Evans's residence, but the gatekeepers were tight-lipped—no matter how she asked, they wouldn't say a word.
Left with no choice, Princess Mira left the invitation, asking them to pass it on to Professor Jade Evans, and repeated her instructions several times: he must be invited to the wedding.
Prince of Qin's Manor
Su Li sat in her room, fiddling with materials for making disguise masks. Alexander Hayes watched with great interest as she worked on the masks.
Thanks to White Pete’s guidance, Su Li’s disguise techniques had improved greatly. The masks she made were now almost as good as White Pete’s.
Alexander Hayes watched as a mask slowly took shape under Su Li’s hands, his eyes full of admiration. He laughed, "My dear wife, you’re getting more and more amazing."
Su Li smiled, placed the finished mask on her face, and instantly—her stunning beauty turned into Alexander Hayes’s handsome features!
Alexander Hayes looked at the identical face across from him and found it rather amusing.
Su Li cleared her throat, changed her voice to a man’s, and imitated Alexander Hayes: "Dear wife, how do you think your husband did with this mask?"
Alexander Hayes couldn’t help but laugh at Su Li’s imitation.
Just then, a servant came in to deliver a message. Looking up, he was stunned to see two identical Prince Alexander Hayeses.
Seeing the servant startled, Su Li laughed and took off the mask. The servant realized it was the Princess Consort in disguise and reported, "Your Highness, Princess Consort, someone from the academy just brought something. They said Princess Mira delivered it herself and insisted it must be given to Professor Jade Evans."
Su Li took a look and chuckled, saying to Alexander Hayes, "Tsk, Princess Mira really can’t forget about Professor Jade Evans. She even delivered a wedding invitation herself."
Alexander Hayes clicked his tongue and lifted his eyelids: "She doesn’t know that Charles Chu has secretly ordered that neither I nor Professor Jade Evans can attend the wedding. But Charles can’t control me—he can only try to keep Professor Jade Evans out."
"Exactly! If these two faces showed up, Princess Mira would probably get so lovestruck she’d tear the roof off!" Su Li tossed the invitation aside. "Since Princess Mira is so eager to invite us, not going would be letting her down."
Alexander Hayes waved his hand, dismissing the servant.
Su Li took out the Professor Jade Evans mask and placed it next to Alexander Hayes’s mask. "This marriage between two countries is a big deal—the Prince of Qin’s Manor can’t just skip it, or it would be disrespectful to Chu. Of course we’ll go to the wedding, and watch the show! Hmph, Charles Chu teamed up with Prince Ling and Princess Mira to ruin my wedding, even kidnapping my mother on my wedding day. I’ll make sure to pay them back!"
Alexander Hayes looked at Su Li, his eyes filled with pride and affection. "Whatever you say, my dear wife. If you want to go, I’ll go with you."
