Zane Wu's Dao Forging

12/19/2025

Joe Di had no idea what Mu Jie and Zhuo Wujia were thinking; his divine sense had already completely enveloped this space.

There was no soil in this beehive cave; the surroundings were all solid reef rock. Joe Di truly found it hard to imagine how the Diezha Grass could grow amidst such hard stone.

In just a few breaths, Joe Di spotted a stalk of divine spirit grass and instantly landed beside it.

This stalk of divine spirit grass was almost the same color as the surrounding reef—both were gray. If Joe Di hadn’t observed carefully, it would have been easy to miss it.

"Is this Diezha Grass?" Mu Jie and Zhuo Wujia also came over to Joe Di’s side, both staring in disbelief at the little grass growing out of the rock.

The little grass was about half a foot tall, with three layers of leaves, each layer distinctly separate, like a staircase rising step by step.

"No wonder it’s called Diezha Grass—its name suits it perfectly," Joe Di remarked, reaching out to grasp the Diezha Grass directly as he spoke.

A strange aura of rules surged forth. Joe Di was familiar with spatial laws, and he was certain that among these rules, there were spatial laws, and also...

Joe Di didn’t dig up the Diezha Grass right away. Instead, he carefully deduced with the Rule Cycle. Mu Jie and Zhuo Wujia, sensing Joe Di’s seriousness, remained silent.

After half a stick of incense’s time, Joe Di suddenly dug up the Diezha Grass. He had already understood that, besides spatial laws, the Diezha Grass contained a new kind of law. It was his first time encountering it, but he realized this law could permeate the sea of consciousness and the primordial spirit, shrouding them in an undetectable aura. Moreover, this law could subtly strip away a cultivator’s spiritual root aura, all without the cultivator noticing.

Why are cultivators able to advance? It’s because they possess spiritual roots. If those roots are stripped away, what is left to cultivate? As for the undetectable aura wrapped around the Primordial Soul and Spiritual Sea, Joe Di suspected it was a law that muddled one’s clarity.

In just half a stick of incense, Joe Di’s Rule Cycle assimilated this obfuscating law, turning it into a supporting aura for the Rule Cycle’s operation, until it vanished entirely.

Joe Di stored the Stacked Reed Grass in his ring and said, “Let’s go, let’s head out.”

“Ah…” Zane Wu and Maya Mu looked at Joe Di in confusion. They had come here for Stacked Reed Grass, and now, after just finding one stalk, he wanted to leave?

Joe Di smiled. “There isn’t much Stacked Reed Grass in this Hive Nest Cavern—I can sense it. Once we’re outside, I’ll look for another Hive Nest Cavern with more Stacked Reed Grass.”

Maya Mu and Zane Wu trusted Joe Di completely and quickly followed him out of the Hive Nest Cavern.

The three of them had only taken a few steps to enter the Hive Nest Cavern, and now it took just a few steps to exit as well.

Once the trio stood outside Hive Peak again, Joe Di said, “When we enter the next Hive Nest Cavern, let’s not stray too far from each other. I sense that these caverns have spatial overlays. The distance we traveled just now was short, but if we go deeper, we could easily get lost. I suspect the others are experienced with this; it’s our first time here, and we lack experience.”

Even without Joe Di’s warning, Zane Wu and Maya Mu also felt it was unwise to wander aimlessly in the Hive Nest Caverns. The spatial layout here was indeed peculiar.
