This Kid Is Scum

"Hey, what's up?"

Ethan Wu walked over, and halfway there he spotted the crowd. He looked genuinely curious.

He was flanked by the school principal and other top administrators, making his entrance with a whole entourage.

Even though Ethan Wu was officially just a pilot at NewAir Airlines, everyone knew his dad was a major shareholder, and Ethan himself owned shares too.

He has plenty of authority within the company.

This time, the school invited Ethan Wu to give a speech—partly as a role model for students, partly hoping he'd represent NewAir and cut them some slack on graduate recruitment.

So the principal and others treat Wu Chen with extra respect.

"Bro."

Ryan Wu's face lit up seeing Ethan Wu arrive, and he called out to him.

Everyone nearby turned to Ethan Wu. Most of the girls were practically swooning—he was handsome and a total rich heir.

Anyone who could get close to a guy like that would have their future set.

"Why's there so much cash here? Don't tell me Young Master Wu brought it just to confess to someone today?"

It was the principal speaking, squinting at the stacks of cash nearby. The sight was dazzling, but if anyone here could pull out that much money, it’d have to be Ethan Wu or Ryan Wu.

"You young people sure have a lot of tricks. Back when we chased girls, we didn't have these kinds of resources."

The principal joked, thinking highly of himself, then chuckled merrily after speaking.

Ethan Wu also noticed the money. When he first arrived, he saw the special vehicle and was a bit puzzled.

Ethan Wu knew a bit about Ryan Wu's situation at school.

The ways people chase girls are all over the place.

But seeing such flashy and extravagant moves right in front of him still left Ethan Wu totally surprised.

"Dude, you're kind of overdoing it."

Wu Chen looked at Wu Guang, frowning. "The family might be rich, but you can't just flaunt it like this."

His words carried a hint of reproach.

There really was a ton of money here. Even Wu Chen found it dazzling, and he was curious how Wu Guang managed to get so much.

But as the star alumnus giving a speech today, Wu Chen couldn't show any surprise on his face—otherwise, he'd totally lose face.

"Bro... that's not my money. It's got nothing to do with me."

Wu Guang looked awkward and quickly interrupted Wu Chen.

"Not your money?"

Wu Chen was stunned, and the principal—who was just about to flatter him—froze as well.

"It's that kid's money over there!"

"That kid, no idea where he came from, shows up here and even laid hands on our people."

"That's right! The security guards should've handled it, but they're not doing anything! Do they really think whoever has money is the boss these days?"

A bunch of people nearby chimed in, seizing the chance to speak up, all talking at once.

"Are you a student here?"

Hearing the commotion, the principal turned his head and finally looked at Lin Yi and his group.

He glanced at Chu Han first, and seeing Chu Han looking ready to fight at any moment, shifted his gaze away.

People with real strength and ability never show their emotions that easily.

Then he looked at Han Shaowei, who was holding his phone and livestreaming.

Han Shaowei saw the principal's gaze and his hand holding the phone trembled.

Definitely not him either.

The principal thought it over, and finally looked at Lin Yi standing over there.

That first glance left the principal slightly stunned.

The young man before him looked about high school age, dressed neatly, with calm eyes that showed neither joy nor sorrow.

That was definitely a bit unusual.

"If you're not a student here, what are you doing on campus?"

The principal asked gently.

He wasn't stupid. Anyone who could have an armored cash truck drive into the school and count money in public—even if he was some spoiled second-generation idiot—had to be a super second-generation idiot with serious backing.

"I'm here to help a friend confess."

Lin Yi answered crisply. This exchange made everyone nearby click their tongues in surprise.

"This kid's got guts. Isn't he afraid the principal will kick him out?"

More and more people gathered around. Even the principal was left speechless by that answer.

"Bro, that kid brought people here to steal my girlfriend and even hit my friends. You have to stand up for me!"

Wu Guang took the chance, grabbing Wu Chen and pointing at Lin Yi.

With Wu Chen here, Wu Guang figured things would be easy to settle.

All Wu Chen had to do was pressure the school, and the principal would order them to throw that kid out. Instant revenge.

"Daring to steal my little brother's girl?"

Wu Chen raised an eyebrow. He might not like Wu Guang's flashy personality, but Wu Guang was his brother—if his brother lost face, so did he.

Right then, Wu Chen's gaze shifted, and he froze.

"You?"

Wu Chen frowned, staring hard at Lin Yi. He spoke coldly: "Talk about a narrow road for enemies. Back in Oceanport, you showed off in front of me by relying on a woman's status, then ran away. Now you're planning to use that woman to suppress me again?"

Wu Chen's gaze was icy, locked onto Lin Yi.

"Bro, you know him?"

Wu Guang was stunned when he heard that.

The others nearby were also shocked.

Anyone known by Wu Guang's brother, Wu Chen, must have a pretty impressive background.

"Know him? He's the biggest 'soft-rice eater' I've ever met."

Wu Chen sneered, "Back in Oceanport, who knows what tricks he used to cling onto Angel Epoch's chairwoman, Lily Zhong."

"A grown man hiding behind a woman all day—what kind of skill is that? A fox borrowing a tiger's might. No matter how fierce you act, you're just a fox, never a tiger."

Wu Chen laughed scornfully, his face full of disdain.

That day, Wu Chen's pride was stomped into the ground. Afterward, he tried every way to find out that kid's identity, but came up empty.

Instead, the name Lily Zhong from Angel Epoch kept shocking him again and again.

So after thinking it over, Wu Chen naturally figured Lin Yi was just a pretty boy. Otherwise, why didn't he call Leon Zheng himself, but had Lily Zhong do it and win with one move?

He didn't call because he didn't have the status or face to do it!
