Lily Bai asked, "Why don't you just take out the entire Fane family? Crippling one arm will only make them crazier for revenge."

"You make a good point." He turned to leave.

Lily grabbed him back. "Ancient texts say—even gods who commit murder have to pay double when they ascend! If you don't want to end up in hell, quit having thoughts like that!"

"So we're just letting this go?"

Lily answered, "We're here in Dragon City to find Legacy Stones!

Let's not stir up extra trouble. Instead of wasting time on the Fane family's mad dogs, we should keep an eye on Colin Grant."

Max Mo: "Colin Grant?"

Lily nodded. "He's... connected to the Prophet."

As she spoke, she turned to Lisa. "Lisa, is Colin Grant's phone still impossible to monitor?"

But Lisa was staring at Evan Lan’s withered branch, zoning out again.

For a robot, spacing out this often is definitely a little suspicious.

"Lisa?" Lily called.

Lisa snapped out of it. "Huh?"

"What were you thinking about?"

"I was calculating how long it’ll take his withered branch to grow back."

"How long will it take?"

"About six years for a full recovery."

Six years... Lily’s heart twisted with pain.

Just then, she felt a soft wave of spiritual energy brush her cheek, as if Evan Lan himself was comforting her...

Lily’s heart softened. She hugged the Vanishing Plant and carried it back inside.

Lily didn’t press Lisa further.

Anyway, if Lisa spots anything suspicious, she’ll tell her right away.

Lisa watched Lily walk away and let out a tiny sigh of relief.

Now that Lisa has Black Hole energy, she can hack through any firewall on Earth.

But she can’t reveal that her systems are fully repaired.

She doesn’t want to lie to Lily either.

But even more, she doesn’t want to obey that buried command: Destroy the Lotus Realm and take Lily away from here.

She freezes up all the time, caught between these two orders.

"Lisa!" Just then, Samson Zhang came running out, face covered in a sheet mask.

The team now makes him use three sheet masks and take three milk baths every week.

He’s getting paler by the day.

Lisa’s eyes narrowed. "What are you doing with my spaceship?"

"Is this really your spaceship?" Samson asked. "Lou Ernie said it was a spaceship, but I didn’t believe him. Is it really?"

Lisa reached out to grab it.

But Samson said, "I’m telling you, I think the only thing wrong with your spaceship is the door. It should be easy to fix!"

Lisa tensed up and snatched the spaceship back. "Earth tech is way out of its league here! A broken door? I think your brain’s broken!"

"I mean it! I really think it’s just the door… Should be easy to fix… Want me to give it a shot?"

"Nope." She turned and walked off.

Samson pouted. "Nobody appreciates me…"

He turned and saw Lily through the window, talking to her potted plant like it was her lover.

She’s never been that gentle with Helan Creek.

"What am I even thinking…" Samson shook his head, then called out, "Sis!"

Lily jumped and looked over. "What is it?"

"Mr. Howard called me today. He and his wife are heading back home tomorrow. Want to go see them off together?"

"Is Mrs. Howard out of the hospital?"

"Yeah, she’s doing much better," Samson said. "Let’s go see them off together!"
