Creating a Scandal
Jasper Cheng glanced around and noticed that there was no one guarding Jade Evans’s courtyard. He couldn’t help but feel a surge of delight—he thought, “Heaven is truly helping me!”
As long as he could get some dirt on Jade Evans, not only would her admission be in jeopardy, but Jasper Cheng could continue to threaten her with even more in the future.
Thinking of this, Jasper Cheng chuckled smugly to himself, crouched by the wall, and shoved Cynthia Green forward, threatening in a low voice: “You wretch, if you dare disobey, I’ll beat you to death!”
Cynthia Green was terrified of Jasper Cheng, afraid that if she didn’t obey she’d get beaten again, so she could only do as he said.
Cynthia Green quietly slipped inside and saw that the Dean’s room was elegantly decorated, exuding a scholarly air. The place was clean, tidy, and faintly scented with incense.
Cynthia Green, crying as she undid her blouse buttons, walked toward the living quarters. But when she entered, she found no one inside.
“Where is she?” Cynthia Green froze. They had carefully tracked Jade Evans’s daily routine—at this hour, after morning classes, she’d grab a bite outside and return here for a nap.
But today, why was she nowhere to be found?
Seeing the empty room, Cynthia Green panicked, her mind filled with dread at failing Jasper Cheng’s task—she’d be beaten again if she returned empty-handed.
Outside, Jasper Cheng saw Cynthia Green obediently enter the room. After waiting a while, he figured she’d already undressed and was about to throw herself on the napping Jade Evans.
"Cynthia Green, did you succeed?" Jasper Cheng whispered toward the room.
"Young Master, Dean Jade Evans... isn’t here." Cynthia Green replied quietly.
But Cynthia Green’s voice was so soft that Jasper Cheng didn’t catch the last part. He assumed she’d succeeded, so he immediately shouted at the top of his lungs, "Don’t miss out! Come and see the biggest scandal of the year—an outrageous disgrace to the academy!"
It was lunchtime, and the academy was quiet. Most students and teachers were napping. Jasper Cheng’s shout woke dozens of people from their dreams. Groups gathered, and when they saw it was Jasper Cheng—the troublemaker who failed to get admitted but kept stirring up trouble—they groaned.
“Jasper Cheng, what are you up to this time? If I were you, I’d hurry back home and save myself the embarrassment! Dean Jade Evans is never going to let you enroll.” one student grumbled, fed up with Jasper Cheng’s antics.
But Jasper Cheng boasted, "What’s so special about Dean Jade Evans? I thought he was above it all—claimed not to care about money or beauty. Turns out he’s just a hypocrite!"
“Nonsense! Don’t you dare insult Professor Jade Evans!” The students were furious.
Jasper Cheng said, “I’m not making it up. If you don’t believe me, see for yourselves!”
“See what?” The students looked at him as if he’d lost his mind.
Jasper Cheng strode up to Dean Jade Evans’s door, kicked it open, and announced proudly to the crowd, “See for yourselves—Jade Evans is nothing but a fraud…”
"Young Master..."
Jasper Cheng’s speech was cut short by a timid voice.
Jasper Cheng turned around, grinning—only to find Cynthia Green standing in the empty room, fully clothed and looking utterly lost. There was no compromising scene at all.
"What’s going on!?" Jasper Cheng was dumbfounded.
“Jasper Cheng, what are you doing now?” The crowd burst out, their patience finally snapping.
