"No, that's too risky. If anything happens, I won't be able to take care of you. You should stay here and wait. If they're fine and just went somewhere else, when they come back, you can contact me." Evan Yang said.
Yvonne Darkmoon thought it made sense and reluctantly agreed, "Alright, I'll wait here. If you hear anything, contact me right away."
"Mm." Evan nodded, then slipped away, heading toward the place they'd talked about earlier.
The Devil Realm Emissary hadn't expected Evan to be present at the time, nor that he would know the destination. All of this was beyond his calculations. When he contacted Drake Long, he learned that Drake had been badly injured, so he slowed down. But hearing that the powder had been successfully scattered, he was pleased.
Evan quickly arrived at the destination, but saw only a tree not far away—no sign of anyone, and no traces of battle.
"Strange, there's no one here, and no signs of fighting." Evan grew suspicious. Logically, if Elder Lewis and Yvonne had come here, they should've fought the Devil Realm Emissary and maybe captured him.
But the scene was nothing like Evan expected. He looked around, then examined the area carefully—and discovered there was actually a formation right in front of him.
"It's a formation. Looks like I'll have to break it open." Evan muttered as he saw the array.
So Evan began studying the formation, and found it was very strange—there was no way to see inside from outside, and no way to know what was happening within.
"The space isn't here, so this formation at least isolates the space—it blocks all messages too," Evan muttered doubtfully.
"That's right, we were all tricked by him. If not for you, I can't imagine how many days it would have taken us to get out," Elder Lewis said.
"Let's not talk about this now. We should hurry back and find those four people, so they don't escape," Evan said.
Damien and Elder Lewis nodded, and the three quickly headed toward the place where the four captives were being held.
Not long after the three left, the Devil Realm Emissary suddenly appeared. Seeing no traces at the scene, he muttered suspiciously, "Broken so quickly?"
The Devil Realm Emissary sensed his array had been broken and rushed over, but everyone was gone. Now he wondered who had cracked the formation.
When they arrived at the place where the four were being guarded, Elder Lewis was shocked to find the guards had been knocked out. "Damn it, how did this happen!" he exclaimed.
"Looks like someone helped them escape," Damien said after checking the scene.
"This is troublesome. Besides those four, there must be someone else involved," Elder Lewis said, frowning as he came to his senses.
Just then, noise erupted outside. The three walked out and saw golden light in the sky fluctuating weakly and strongly, as if something had happened. "Not good, something's wrong with Sister Serenity," Elder Lewis exclaimed, immediately thinking of her.
Damien and Evan also showed shocked expressions and quickly followed Elder Lewis to the destination.

Damien and Evan also showed shocked expressions and quickly followed Elder Lewis to the destination.
When they arrived, they saw Sister Serenity's complexion alternating red and black, and the man behind her looked exhausted, as if he'd spent a lot of energy. "What's going on?" Elder Lewis didn't rush to help, but instead approached and asked.
Sister Serenity explained what happened. Elder Lewis looked at the four dead nearby and confirmed they were the ones who had escaped, and the person who helped them was the fifth. "So that's how it is," he exclaimed.
"Elder Lewis, help Sister Serenity quickly, I can't hold on much longer," the man said.
Elder Lewis hurried forward to take over. With his help, Sister Serenity improved. Elder Lewis asked, "This Demon-Spirit Pill is clashing with your body. We can only suppress it, not remove it."
"My master never taught me how to clear it, so I don't know either," Sister Serenity sighed.
Elder Lewis felt helpless. If they kept rotating suppression, Sister Serenity would only last a few hours unless a quick solution was found.
Evan spoke up, "Let me try."
"You can?" Elder Lewis asked doubtfully.
"I've learned some methods for restraining demonic qi. I don't know if they'll work, but I'd like to try," Evan said.
"Alright, I'll suppress from the side while you try to resolve it," Elder Lewis said, worried Evan's strength alone might not be enough.
Evan shook his head, "My cultivation method is special. If all three powers are used together, I'm afraid something unexpected will happen."
Elder Lewis frowned, "But, what if..."
"Trust me," Evan said.
Seeing Evan's expression, Elder Lewis nodded, "Alright."
As Elder Lewis withdrew his hand, Evan took over. At first, Sister Serenity felt uncomfortable and the golden light weakened, but Evan quickly suppressed it, restoring her. However, she noticed Evan was only at the Profound-Immortal level, so his suppression wasn't very effective, leaving her worried.
Everyone around was anxious. If Evan failed, Sister Serenity would truly be in danger.
While everyone was thinking about backup plans, Evan began absorbing the demonic qi from Sister Serenity.
As the demonic qi started flowing into Evan, Sister Serenity exclaimed, "You can't do this, you'll be harmed!" "Don't worry, I'll be fine," Evan replied.
Evan's method of absorbing someone else's demonic qi instantly impressed Sister Serenity. Her worries vanished, and she thought, "Even if he fails, there's no regret."
Elder Lewis exclaimed, "This won't work, you'll ruin yourself!"
"Don't worry, Elder Lewis, I'll be fine. It's just a small matter," Evan said, then gave a confident smile.
Seeing Evan's confident smile, Damien and the others were surprised. Was this really the confidence of a Profound Immortal?
Time passed slowly. Everyone was worried, but the demonic qi on Sister Serenity gradually disappeared. When they thought Evan couldn't hold on, they found he had no trace of demonic qi.
Evan knew he had absorbed all the demonic qi, and with his Demon-Ward Eight Arts, it had no effect on him.
When Sister Serenity's complexion returned to normal, Evan withdrew his hand and smiled, "It's done."
Everyone finally came to their senses, staring at Evan in amazement.
"Let me check," Elder Lewis said, worried Evan might have been possessed by too much demonic qi. Evan smiled and let him check.
When the inspection was over, Evan smiled, "How is it?"
Elder Lewis asked in disbelief, "Where's the demonic qi?"
"I expelled it from my body," Evan said. He didn't mention he'd absorbed it, only that he'd expelled it.
"You really surprised me," Elder Lewis said, shocked that Evan could expel demonic qi without being affected.
Damien was also surprised, and the cold man stared at Evan in amazement. Sister Serenity, who felt the demonic qi flowing into Evan throughout the process, thanked him despite holding her prayer beads.
Evan nodded. Although Sister Serenity had initially underestimated him, he didn't mind—her trusting him with her life was the greatest sign of confidence.
After everyone recovered, Elder Lewis said to the cold man, "Keep guarding her. The rest of us will go find the injured escapee."
Damien nodded, and the cold man provided a portrait of the escapee.
After the three left, they discussed how to find the man.
He shouldn't have gone far. We can use other sects and families to search. Since everyone is trapped in the formation, as long as we know his name, it will be easier to catch him later," Damien said.
"I'll leave it to your eighth faction," Elder Lewis said. "I'll arrange an investigation into his identity right away," Damien replied, then left, leaving Elder Lewis and Evan together.
"What do you think?" Elder Lewis now regarded Evan as an equal, no longer underestimating him for being a Profound Immortal.
Evan smiled, surprised, "That Devil Realm Emissary is very cunning, and the man is definitely under his control. Whether there are others, I don't know."
