Storming Off in a Jealous Fit

"Second, Wendy Wang and Sam Qi will be handed over to the Disciplinary Tribunal." Byron White announced. "There, they'll use spirit-control elixirs to make you tell the whole truth! And trust me, it won't be as simple as just expelling her from the Alliance."

Ruby Ji's face went pale. She shot a nervous glance at Vice President James.

There was no way she could let them go to the Disciplinary Tribunal.

If Wendy Wang went, under the effects of the spirit-control elixir, she'd spill everything—she'd be exposed.

"Wendy Wang, you choose." Byron White looked straight at her.

Wendy Wang glanced at Ruby Ji for help. Ruby Ji furrowed her brows and gave her a tiny, almost imperceptible nod.

She was telling her to admit it.

"Speak!" Byron White's presence radiated a powerful pressure.

Wendy Wang collapsed to her knees. "President, I admit it! It really was me. Please, have mercy—don't expel me from the Spirit Alliance!"

Byron White turned to Vice President James. "Vice President James, she's yours now."

Vice President James nodded grimly. "Take Wendy Wang away. Retrieve her Alliance Token and medical register, and have her compensate thirty thousand gold coins."

"No! Please!" Wendy Wang screamed. "President! It wasn't me! Someone made me do it! It was Ji—"

Before she could finish, her head lolled to the side and she collapsed, unconscious.

Vice President James's men didn't hesitate—they dragged her away at once.

A trail of blood was left along the way, dripping from her mouth.

Grace figured that from the moment Wendy Wang tried to tell the truth, her fate was sealed.

Byron White acted as if he hadn't seen the blood. He turned to Ruby Ji and said, "Ruby Ji, since you wanted Grace's room so badly, you can move in from now on."

Ruby Ji's face changed. "President..."

"What?" Byron White replied, his tone firm.

"...Yes, sir!" Ruby Ji gritted her teeth and agreed.

Byron White then turned to Grace. "I'll have someone arrange a new place for you."

"Thank you, President. Just a regular room is fine," Grace replied.

Byron White looked apologetic. "I meant well, but ended up causing you trouble. I'm sorry."

Grace lowered her head. "Please don't say that, President."

"If anyone dares to give you trouble again, come to me right away," Byron White said. "As long as I'm here, no one can bully you."

Grace smiled at him. "Thank you, President!"

Byron White smiled back at her, then turned and left.

Grace watched him go.

As she watched, she suddenly noticed Cutie Pie peeking at her from the grass nearby.

Its eyes were as cold as ice.

"Cutie Pie!" Grace's eyes lit up and she walked over, trying to catch it.

But as soon as she got close, it turned and ran off—gone in an instant.

Grace stood there, stunned. What was that all about?

Why did she suddenly think it was acting jealous or sulking?

She must just have an overactive imagination...

For several days in a row, Cutie Pie didn't show up.

When she asked Shannon, even she had no idea where Cutie Pie had gone.

Grace was quite worried.

Meanwhile, Byron White tried to test her feelings twice.

He said he was truly in love with her and asked her to be with him.

Grace never gave a clear yes or no.

Felix Xi, apparently annoyed, waited until Byron White was gone and then coldly said to her, "President has a fiancée."

Grace raised an eyebrow at him. "You really do know everything! You must have some serious connections. Come on, spill it!"

Seeing her joking around like she didn't care, Felix Xi just frowned and ignored her.
