Princess Mira Is Furious

Princess Mingyu's face instantly turned as red as a pig's liver. She had never expected that the Zhang's Spice Shop actually belonged to Su Li!

Su Li smiled sweetly and made a gesture of thanks to Princess Mingyu. "Princess Mingyu, I've always wanted to thank you for your enthusiastic support of my spices at the auction. If you hadn't kept raising the price and bidding, my spices would never have been hyped up to be as valuable as gold. Now my spice shop makes money hand over fist—it's no exaggeration. Honestly, more than half the credit goes to you, Princess!"

"That's impossible! If you own the spice shop, why did you have the manager of Eight Flavors Treasure House bid at the auction?" Princess Mingyu's face turned ashen.

Lingdang at the table chuckled. "Princess Mingyu, if I hadn't competed with you, would you have gone after me like a mad dog, crazily driving up the price? If you hadn't acted like a mad dog, our master's spices wouldn't have sold for such a high price!"

Su Li nodded and laughed, "Exactly! In short, our spices sold at a high price, and we all have Princess Mingyu to thank for that."

"Yes, yes, thank you so much for boosting our reputation, Princess Mingyu! Our spices are now in hot demand, and the profits are through the roof!" Lingdang stood up and bowed to Princess Mingyu with a cheeky grin.

"Thank you, Princess. If it weren't for your bidding, I wouldn't have been able to set such a high price for the spices, which makes it much easier to report to Princess Consort Qin." Zhang Mu Yi stood up and cupped his fists.

"You! You!" Princess Mingyu looked at the whole table of people, all with mocking expressions, as if struck by lightning. She remembered herself at the auction, really acting like a mad dog—chasing after the bait dangled in front of her, recklessly competing with Lingdang, just to win some pride.

Later, she bought more than Lingdang and was feeling smug about it. Who would have thought that behind her back, everyone was laughing at her—used as a pawn without even knowing it!

Su Li personally stood up, raised her wine cup, and said with a bright smile, "Princess Mingyu, thank you so much! I toast to you!"

Su Li said this, then downed her drink in one go, feeling absolutely delighted. "I'm now the richest merchant in the capital, all thanks to you, Princess Mingyu. Oh, and those recipe books you won at the auction—keep them as souvenirs! I personally compiled those treasured recipes. Though they're the 'abridged version,' so dishes made from them won't match up to our Eight Flavors Treasure House, but they're good enough for running a third-rate restaurant."

Princess Mingyu looked at Su Li's expression and suddenly felt a tightness in her chest. She couldn't catch her breath, clutched her chest and staggered back a few steps, pointing at Su Li, gasping for air and unable to say a word. She felt as if Su Li had slapped her face raw!

"Your Highness, what's wrong? You look quite unwell!" Suddenly, Princess Mingyu heard someone at the table speak. The accent was odd but very familiar—it was the voice of the foreigner William, who had tricked her out of her spices and a thousand taels of silver!

Princess Mingyu looked up and saw the man who spoke, sitting at the lower end of the table. Judging by his position, he seemed to be some kind of steward.

Steward Xiao Yuan looked at Princess Mingyu with a mischievous smile and even blinked playfully. "Your Highness, long time no see."

Princess Mingyu looked at Steward Xiao Yuan's physique and suddenly realized—his build and voice were exactly the same as the foreigner William who had swindled her!

Could it be that the person who tricked her out of her spices and money was also one of Su Li's people?!
