Fenn Finger of the Fenn Second Generation

2/14/2026

"Not sure, but they're coming in aggressively, as if they've got some business with the Fenn Family." The guard described.

The steward, feeling rather displeased, said, "Let them in."

Caleb Fenn wasn't feeling nearly as bad. In fact, he secretly hoped Second Young Master Fenn would be taken far, far away.

Soon, a group of six arrived outside. Each of them carried a hint of anger, as if they had some deep grudge against the Fenn Family. Still, they knew this was the Fenn estate, so they tried to restrain their tempers. In xianxia cultivation worlds, clans like the Fenns are powerful enough that outsiders must tread carefully.

"What business do you six have with the Fenn Family?" the steward asked.

"Business? We're here to have you undo your technique," the First Peak Lord snorted coldly.

"Undo a technique? What do you mean?" The steward and Third Young Master Fenn were both confused—why would the visitors say such a thing right away?

"Does the Fenn Family have a technique that can suppress someone's cultivation?" the First Peak Lord said. The Tyrant Seal Art is unique to the Fenn Family and can forcefully lower a cultivator's realm, something only their experts can do.

The steward frowned. "Yes, we do. What's the issue?"

"My third brother had his cultivation forcibly dropped by your technique. Take a look and see what's going on." The First Peak Lord snorted, clearly directing his accusation at the Fenn Family.

Both the steward and Third Young Master Fenn looked odd at this. To forcibly drop someone's cultivation by several realms—only the Fenn Family's ancestors or the previous generation could do that. In cultivation hierarchy, dropping a realm means losing years or decades of progress; only top experts from the Fenn Family can achieve this with the Tyrant Seal Art.

"You're talking nonsense. All our Fenn Family members are cultivating in the estate. How could anyone go out and use a technique to suppress your people?" The steward snorted, thinking they were just here to stir up trouble.

So the others followed Gale Foster to Han Yang's inn, which was right next door. Since Han Yang had changed his appearance, their cultivations couldn't see through him at all.

Gale Foster didn't care what they were saying—he just wanted to recover. "Hurry up and undo it for me," he said.

"Third brother, your cultivation's back to normal?" one of them asked Gale Foster.

"Yes, the Fenn Family's technique really is unique," Gale Foster replied.

"The odds of someone stealing it are pretty low, aren't they?" The First Peak Lord didn't believe their excuse—he suspected they really were behind the theft of the treasure map.

"What do you mean by that?" Third Young Master Fenn didn't know these people, and got angry at their rudeness.

"Brat, it's not your place to interrupt." The First Peak Lord snorted. (In cultivation worlds, younger disciples rarely challenge senior peak lords directly.)

"You—" Third Young Master Fenn hadn't expected such disrespect. The steward, who knew the First Peak Lord's background and strength—and even his master—stayed calm and said, "I think there may be some misunderstanding here."

"Misunderstanding? Then bring out whoever can undo the seal—let them lift it from my third brother first." The First Peak Lord snorted.

"Young Master Caleb, go call your father." The steward knew Caleb and his peers hadn't mastered the art well enough to undo it, so only the previous generation could help.

Caleb Fenn left reluctantly, while the steward ordered tea to be served and asked the First Peak Lord to explain what was really going on.

"No matter what, the Fenn Family will definitely give you an explanation for this." The steward replied after hearing the story.

"Hopefully so. Otherwise, your Fenn Family would be disgracing its reputation as the number-one great clan under Ninefold Palace." The First Peak Lord replied.

The steward was eager to know what was really going on, so he immediately summoned people and circulated the identities of the two suspects provided by the First Peak Lord, starting a manhunt.

Elder Liu and his companion had no idea the Fenn Family was now trying to capture them. At that moment, they were still waiting elsewhere, planning to investigate the mountain in a few days.

Soon, Caleb returned with a man—his own father, nicknamed Fenn Finger. He earned the name because he'd cultivated the Tyrant Seal Art to the highest level among his peers; no one of his generation could match him. Back then, Ye Chen was also struck by his Tyrant Seal Art.

"What's going on?" The middle-aged man asked curiously as soon as he arrived.

"Master Fenn, one of their people has been struck by the Tyrant Seal Art and needs your help." The steward said.

Fenn Finger heard this and asked suspiciously, "Who did it?" He went over to the person in question and examined him from head to toe.

"It's not one of our Fenn Family members," the steward replied.

"Not from the Fenn Family? How did they manage to cultivate the Tyrant Seal Art to such a high level?" Fenn Finger frowned, seeing that the technique used matched his own.

Zhang Xiaofeng didn't care what they were saying—he just wanted to recover. "Hurry up and undo it for me," he said.

After Fenn Finger used some techniques on Zhang Xiaofeng, his cultivation was restored to its original state.

"All done," Fenn Finger said, withdrawing his hand.

"Are you sure he's not one of your Fenn Family members?" The First Peak Lord had heard the steward say this several times, and they'd even sent people to investigate. He realized that if he pushed too hard, negotiations might fail.

"No. If we recognized him, we'd hand him over to you directly. In fact, we want to know what's going on even more than you do." The steward replied.

"Fine, then I'll give you a hundred years. If you can't catch him within a hundred years and give us an explanation, we'll have to come after your Fenn Family." The First Peak Lord said.

"What do you mean by that?" Third Young Master Fenn was angry at being asked to help them hunt someone down.

The First Peak Lord was about to speak, but the steward said, "Fine, within a hundred years."

"Hmph." The First Peak Lord left angrily with his group.

"Steward, why did you agree to their demand? Why should we listen to them?" Third Young Master Fenn asked angrily.

"Haven't you realized? This isn't just their problem anymore—it concerns the Fenn Family's Tyrant Seal Art, and we're talking about dropping several realms. Do you know how long it takes to cultivate that?" The steward said.

"The steward's right. This isn't just their issue anymore." Fenn Finger also looked puzzled; he found the situation strange—among his peers, only he could drop someone's cultivation by so many realms.

"What if we can't find them in a hundred years?" Third Young Master Fenn asked, frustrated.

"Even if we can't find them in a hundred years, we still have to try. If they want to come after us, let them. Don't we already have enough trouble?" The steward said helplessly.

"What else is there besides this?" Fenn Finger asked curiously.

"Second Young Master Fenn has been kidnapped," the steward sighed.

"What happened?" Fenn Finger was shocked—even though Second Young Master Fenn wasn't his own son, he was his older brother's.

The steward recounted what had happened. "Who is this person, and why does he want the solution to the Tyrant Seal Art's side effects?"

"I don't know. We haven't investigated it yet." The steward sighed—after all, even he didn't know the solution to the side effects.

"You mean you don't even know who kidnapped him?" Fenn Finger asked suspiciously.

"It was a master brewer. His wine is remarkable—it can induce illusions. When he kidnapped Second Young Master Fenn, he left a message: he wanted us to find a way to resolve the side effects and tell him." The steward explained.

"How is that supposed to work? He didn't leave any contact method—how are we supposed to tell him?" Fenn Finger snorted.

"I've thought of a way, but I'm not sure if it'll work." The steward said.

"Spread the word—say we're willing to exchange the solution to the Tyrant Seal Art's side effects for Second Young Master Fenn." The steward said.

"No way! That's the Fenn Family's secret." Third Young Master Fenn immediately protested.

Fenn Finger looked at the steward's face and sensed there was more to come, so he kept listening. The steward continued, "Don't get worked up, Caleb. I'm only saying we'll spread the news—I never said the method would be real."

"You mean use a fake solution to make the exchange?" Caleb asked curiously.

"Yes, so we'll need cooperation from the Fenn Family. I originally planned to ask the Clan Chief, but since Master Fenn is here, let him take charge. That way, they'll believe it's genuine." The steward said.

"That works. If he shows up, we'll just capture him." Fenn Finger said.

"He's not stupid," Caleb replied.

"I know, but it's worth a try. If he really comes, that's best. If not, we don't lose anything." The steward said.

"Alright, let's do it." Fenn Finger agreed.

With Fenn Finger's approval, the steward began making arrangements.

Han Yang was staying at an inn outside the Fenn Family estate. He saw a group of people walk out—they were from Sevenmile Peak.

"Big brother, are we really supposed to wait a hundred years?" Gale Foster asked, suspicious.

"Are you stupid? I was just saying it. The main point is to make them do the work while we reap the rewards." The First Peak Lord sneered.

"What do you mean, big brother?" Zhang Xiaofeng asked, confused.

"Let's stay at the inn across the street for now. I'll leave a few brothers to keep watch outside the Fenn Family estate, then I'll come find you." The First Peak Lord said.

"But what if the Fenn Family gets the treasure map first?" Gale Foster asked, suspicious.

So the others followed Zhang Xiaofeng to Han Yang's inn, which was right next door. Since Han Yang had changed his appearance, their cultivations couldn't see through him at all.

"So, big brother, you want us to stay here and keep watch?" Gale Foster realized.

"Yes, the Fenn Family's technique really is unique," Zhang Xiaofeng replied.

"If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed the Fenn Family had such a terrifying technique," another replied.

"Do you think it could have been someone from the Fenn Family?" one asked, suspicious.

"No idea. We'll talk when big brother gets back." Zhang Xiaofeng sighed.

After a while, the First Peak Lord finished his arrangements and came to the room next to Han Yang's. The group gathered to hear what he had to say.

They had no idea that Han Yang was listening intently to everything they were saying.

"A hundred years was just something I said. My real goal is the strength of the Fenn Family. They're known as the top clan on Ninefold Star, so their influence is huge and they have many experts. With their help, finding those two will be much easier," the First Peak Lord said with a smile.

"But what if the Fenn Family gets the treasure map first?" Zhang Xiaofeng asked, suspicious.

"That's why we're keeping an eye on the Fenn Family. As soon as they make a move on those two, we'll intercept them and take the targets ourselves," the First Peak Lord said with a grin.

"So, big brother, you want us to stay here and keep watch?" Zhang Xiaofeng realized.

"Exactly. We'll stay here, and as soon as the Fenn Family makes a move, we'll follow them, grab those two, and leave immediately," the First Peak Lord said.
