Everyone agreed with the First Peak Lord's earlier decision. Then, a few of them stayed at the inn, keeping an eye on the Fenn Family's movements.
Evan Yang didn’t know what they discussed with the Fenn Family, but from their conversation just now, he could tell that the people from Sevenmile Peak had definitely reached some kind of agreement with the Fenns—that’s why things were so calm.
These people also stayed behind to supervise the Fenn Family.
Evan Yang, disappointed at not seeing any drama, said helplessly, "Looks like there’s nothing to watch."
"I wouldn’t be so sure," Mad Elder chuckled.
"You think those two will be out wandering around now?" Evan asked curiously.
"Not really. Just look at the Fenn Family’s gate," Mad Elder replied with a grin.
Evan hadn’t paid attention to the Fenn Family’s gate before, but now he looked over and saw the people below waiting quietly. Many disciples appeared one after another, then headed off in different directions.
"What are they doing?" Evan asked, confused.
"No idea, but the Fenn Family’s pretty efficient—just like that, they’ve sent out so many messengers," Mad Elder clicked his tongue.
"Senior, do you know the Fenn Family?" Evan asked curiously.
"The Fenn Family? I do know them, but not these people—I knew their ancestors," Mad Elder laughed.
"Their ancestors?" Evan asked, puzzled.
"You’ll understand someday," Mad Elder said with a smile.
Evan felt even more confused—did the Fenn Family really have some hidden super expert?
"Come on, stop spacing out. Everyone’s checking the news—let’s go join the crowd," Mad Elder said with a laugh.
Evan snapped out of it and replied, "Alright."
Then the two of them, along with Little Leo, went downstairs, stepped out of the inn, and headed over to the nearby public notice board to check the news.
After Evan finished reading the notice, he muttered to himself, "So they finally couldn’t hold back and made a move."
Mad Elder muttered, "Didn’t expect someone even fiercer than you—someone actually went and kidnapped a Fenn Family member."
"Senior, what are you talking about? How am I fierce?" Evan said helplessly.
"Framing others isn’t fierce enough? But tell me, where did you learn those tricks—was it someone from the Fenn Family who taught you the Tyrant Seal Art?" Mad Elder asked suspiciously, knowing Evan could use the Tyrant Seal Art.
"I knew I couldn’t fool you. But no, they didn’t teach me—I learned it by stealing," Evan said with a grin.
"By stealing? No wonder it’s so rough," Mad Elder laughed.
"Senior, what do you mean by that?" Evan felt he’d learned it pretty well.
"The Tyrant Seal Art gets scarier the higher you go. Sometimes, just one move can turn a cultivator into an ordinary person. When fighting, a single finger—one tap—and a top expert drops down to a normal human," Mad Elder clicked his tongue.
"You’ve seen it yourself, Senior? How much can the Tyrant Seal Art seal at its highest level? Who’s the strongest right now?" Evan asked, suspicious.
"You’ll understand someday," Mad Elder said with a smile.
That was the one thing Evan hated hearing most. Whenever he wanted answers, Mad Elder would always say that.
Annoyed, Evan glared and said, "Next time I get good wine, let’s see if you still act mysterious."
"I wonder if it’s a trap," Mad Elder muttered as he read the notice.
"Why?" Evan asked. He knew the notice was about him—he was supposed to show up at the Fenn Family gate at noon in three days, where, in front of everyone, they’d give him the solution to the Tyrant Seal Art’s side effects, all for fairness.
"The guy they mentioned—the so-called second young master—he’s not qualified to know the solution for the art’s side effects. Even if he did, he wouldn’t tell anyone. That’s a Fenn Family rule: no one can leak it. So right now, except for the Fenn Family patriarch, probably no one else knows," Mad Elder explained.
"How could that be?" Evan said, not believing it.
"Why would I lie to you? Three days from now, want to make a bet?" Mad Elder laughed.
Evan didn’t tell Mad Elder that he was the target, but Mad Elder’s words made him feel pressured. If they were lying, he’d be walking right into a trap—and facing all the Fenn Family’s top experts.
But Evan quickly thought of a solution, so he smiled and said, "Alright, let’s see who’s telling the truth in three days. If the Fenn Family is lying, I’ll treat you to a bottle of wine. If not, you have to tell me about that entrance."
"Kid, don’t call me arrogant—I’m definitely going to win. I’ll take that bet," Mad Elder laughed.
Evan hadn’t expected Mad Elder to be so confident, but he had his own estimate—maybe they were luring him in, but he already had a plan to escape when the time came.
Aside from Evan and Mad Elder, the Sevenmile Peak group read the notice and wondered why they weren’t looking for those two, but for someone else entirely.
Everyone else was just here for the show—they wanted to see who dared kidnap the Fenn Family’s second young master. So, three days later, the area outside the Fenn Family gate was packed, practically a sea of people.
The three days passed quickly. Seeing the crowds below and that even all the nearby rooms were full, Evan sighed, "Isn’t this a bit much?"
"I didn’t expect it to be this crazy either. But I am curious—who’s that kid with such guts?" Mad Elder laughed.
Evan didn’t reply. He kept watching the area and the changes at the Fenn Family gate, then said, "Senior, I should tell you something ahead of time."
"What is it?" Mad Elder asked, puzzled.
"Wait, I’m going down soon. What you see will be real, so don’t doubt it," Evan said.
Mad Elder looked at Evan suspiciously.
Evan instantly changed his appearance, turning into a stranger.
"What are you doing?" Mad Elder asked, seeing Evan become a stranger.
"Because I’m that person. I’m going down now," Evan said with a smile.
Evan put away his little lion—he couldn’t let anyone see he had this spirit beast when carrying out his plan.
Watching Evan walk down, Mad Elder muttered, "Could he really be that gutsy kid?"
The more Mad Elder watched, the more he thought so. Evan’s disguise didn’t fool him, but it would work perfectly on the lower-level Fenn Family members.
"That kid, not even a word to me beforehand. I’ll see what he’s up to," Mad Elder muttered, watching Evan go.

A short while later, Evan arrived at the Fenn Family gate. He called out to those inside, "Fenn Family, listen up—I’m here to deliver a message."
His words quickly reached the Fenn Family members. Soon, Fenn Finger, Third Young Master Fenn, and Steward Fenn came out. Seeing a stranger, Steward Fenn asked suspiciously, "Who are you?"
"A friend sent me," Evan replied.
"What friend?" Steward Fenn asked curiously.
"The one from your notice," Evan replied.
