Tenner Is Missing

However, Minister Zhuo was thoroughly disappointed in Kevin Zhuo. Even with the old madam present, he couldn't calm the fury in his heart.

Later on, the nearly-crazy Grace Wan went running to Lena for help.

Lena hurried over to calm things down, finally managing to soothe Minister Zhuo's anger.

But poor Kevin Zhuo—he probably won't be able to get out of bed for three whole months...

Grace Wan looked at her son, battered and bruised, and cried her heart out.

"...Didn't you say that Leo Miles hated Jason Zhuo so much he'd rather die with him than tell the truth?" Grace Wan asked Kevin Zhuo, her eyes swollen, when it was just the two of them. "So why did he suddenly change his story?"

Kevin Zhuo's backside was burning with pain as he groaned, "It was Grace!"

"Her? What does she have to do with this?"

"She brought the Imperial Diviner to see Leo Miles. I don't know what trick the Diviner used, but Leo just confessed out of nowhere!" Kevin Zhuo gritted his teeth in hatred.

"Grace!" Grace Wan spat out her name through gritted teeth.

......

Grace hadn't seen Cutie Pie in ages and really missed her little pet.

She entered her Sanctum and ran to check on the entrance of Cutie Pie's hibernation cave.

The cave was pitch black—she couldn't see a thing.

There wasn't a sound from inside, so Cutie Pie must've been sleeping soundly.

With the New Year over and another month or two to go, the weather would soon start to warm up.

Who knows—Cutie Pie might wake up any day now.

Grace thought for a moment, then left some dried fruit at the cave entrance. If Cutie Pie woke up hungry, she’d have something to snack on...

Just then, Nanny came stumbling in, calling out, "Miss Lawrence! Miss Lawrence! Something terrible has happened!"

Grace hurried out of the Sanctum and asked, "Nanny, what's wrong?"

"Tenner is missing!" Nanny cried. "There are bloodstains in his room—he's gone! Something terrible must have happened!"

During the New Year, the household staff took turns going on holiday.

These past couple of days were Tenner's turn for time off.

Nanny came home today and discovered something was wrong.

Grace frowned. "Let's go check it out!"

When they arrived at Tenner's place, there were clear signs of a struggle—and bloodstains, too.

Judging by how dry the blood was, it must've happened about a day ago.

Grace immediately went and told Minister Zhuo, who sent people out to search for Tenner and reported the matter to the authorities.

The authorities brought in search dogs, letting them sniff Tenner's clothes before following his trail.

The search dogs zigzagged through the alleys and streets, finally stopping by a river—beyond that, they couldn't track him anymore.

So, basically... it looked like he'd drowned in the river.

Nanny was so distraught, she fainted on the spot.

But Grace couldn't shake the feeling that things weren't that simple.

There were much easier ways to get from the Prime Minister's Residence to the river, so why take such a winding route?

It felt like someone knew the authorities would be called, knew they'd use search dogs, and deliberately led them here...

After thinking it over, Grace went to Leon Zane's place to find Bianca Whitefan.

Grace had seen Bianca Whitefan's divination skills before. She wanted Bianca to divine Tenner's whereabouts.

The world was so big—even the dogs couldn't find him. Where were they supposed to look?

She was truly out of options—this was her last resort.

Fortunately, Bianca Whitefan happened to be at Leon Zane's residence.

"...Did you plant a new sensing talisman on Colin Gu?" Leon Zane asked.

Bianca Whitefan nodded solemnly. "This time, the sensing range is only ten feet."
