Assault on Rainbow Court

1/19/2026

Tia Thorn was infamous throughout the God Realm as both a master of poisons and a woman who loved to secretly consort with men. The Skysoar Sect Master knew this well, but in recent years Tia had reined herself in considerably, so he often pretended not to notice—though deep down, he still felt utterly stifled.

Now that Tia had successfully refined an absolute peerless poison, he dared even less to criticize her. In truth, the real master of Skysoar Sect was now Tia Thorn, not himself—and all because he’d spoiled her too much in the past, letting things reach this point.

The Skysoar Sect Master could clearly see the look Tia was giving the Drifting Cloud Guild Pavilion Master, but he didn’t show any discomfort. Maybe Tia would just seduce the Pavilion Master outright—if that happened, Drifting Cloud Guild might become part of Skysoar Sect’s holdings.

It was a nice fantasy—everyone has dreams, and the Skysoar Sect Master was no exception. But the Pavilion Master just said, “I’ll drink with you, sure, but only after we’ve beaten that slut Rainveil. Drifting Cloud Guild is still far from Skysoar Sect, and time is tight—I need to hurry back. Save your kindness for next time, Madam. I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

Tia Thorn almost lost her temper—how could someone be so oblivious to her charms? But when she saw the Pavilion Master’s final, wicked glance, she held herself back. That look was just like a hungry wolf spotting a lamb—greedy and full of desire. She knew there’d be a chance for her and him in the future.

If his skills were good enough to satisfy her, she’d let Drifting Cloud Guild off the hook. But if he turned out to be as useless as her own cowardly husband, then she’d let him savor the wonders of her peerless poison—she was sure he’d absolutely love it.

“Since the Pavilion Master insists on leaving, we won’t force you. Let’s hope our alliance goes smoothly and we both get what we want. But Pavilion Master, you’d better not disappoint your little sister!” Tia Thorn laughed, her eyes brimming with insatiable desire…

After the Pavilion Master left, he found his back drenched in sweat. Tia Thorn’s eyes were like she wanted to eat him alive—absolutely terrifying. He’d heard she was a total debauchee, but he hadn’t expected her to be so bold, even daring to openly tease him in front of the Skysoar Sect Master. It was just too much.

He’d recently heard that she’d refined a poison so deadly it could even kill late-stage God-Venerables. Seeing her act so brazenly in front of the Skysoar Sect Master, he figured the rumors were probably true.

He had no idea if this alliance was a blessing or a curse. Dealing with a venomous woman like her could easily end in disaster, but at this point, all he could do was take things one step at a time. If he stuck around to drink with her, Drifting Cloud Guild might just end up swallowed by Skysoar Sect.

“Madam, are you planning to deal with Drifting Cloud Guild too this time? Shouldn’t we think this through before making a move?” the Skysoar Sect Master asked Tia Thorn.

Tia Thorn rolled her eyes at him and said, “That’s my business, not yours. Whose fault is it that you’re so useless? If the Pavilion Master can satisfy me, maybe I’ll spare him. But if he’s as hopeless as you, then Drifting Cloud Guild gets wiped out. From now on, Skysoar Sect has a real shot at becoming the number one power in the God Realm.”

The Skysoar Sect Master’s face darkened, but he didn’t dare say a word. With a woman like her, he truly didn’t know if he was lucky or cursed. For the sake of the sect’s future, all he could do was swallow his pride and hope that one day she’d realize he genuinely cared for her.

Ten days flashed by in a blink. Skysoar Sect mobilized over half its top elites, and together with Drifting Cloud Guild’s forces, nearly several thousand elite members gathered. And that was just the elite core—the expendable cannon fodder numbered beyond counting. Now, this mighty alliance had arrived outside Rainbow City.

Right now, Rainbow City was gripped by panic. Far fewer people were coming and going, and ever since the Rainbow Court Mistress activated the grand protective array, many residents sensed something huge was about to happen. Quietly, plenty packed up their belongings and slipped away, planning to return only when things calmed down.

“What’s your plan, Pavilion Master? Are we going straight into the city to take down Rainbow Court, or should Skysoar Sect attack the protective array first?” Tia Thorn asked.

“The people of Rainbow City are innocent. Let’s just break the protective array and take Rainbow Court directly. If we start a massacre, the other powers will hate us—there’s no need to go that far,” the Drifting Cloud Guild Pavilion Master replied.

Every major power ruled over at least tens of millions, and Rainbow City alone had several million inhabitants. If they really started killing, it’d be a literal river of blood.

But Tia Thorn just sneered, “Who cares if that bitch Rainveil is back or not? If she’s not, a massacre will draw her out. If she’s already in Rainbow Court, we’ll force her to show herself. The best way is to wipe out Rainbow City—these ants aren’t worth pity, so why bother? Since we’re allies, you should show a little sincerity. Or do you expect Skysoar Sect to take the lead?”

The Pavilion Master felt a chill run down his spine—he hadn’t realized Tia was this vicious. Destroying a city hadn’t happened in the God Realm for countless ages; doing so now would shake the whole world and unleash chaos no one could predict.

But with the arrow already nocked, he had no choice but to go along. “Since Madam wants to see Drifting Cloud Guild’s sincerity, I’ll prove it. But I really don’t want a bloodbath—give me one day to persuade the people to leave. If anyone refuses, they can’t blame me for being ruthless.”

That way, they wouldn’t provoke the other powers—after all, they’d given everyone a chance. If people didn’t treasure it, that was their own fault.

“Well, well, you do have a bit of compassion after all. Everyone calls me Poison Maiden, so I’ll be merciful for once and give these people one day. If they won’t leave, they’ll be buried with Rainbow City. It’s their fault for picking the wrong place—if they’d lived in Drifting Cloud Guild or Skysoar Sect territory, this wouldn’t be happening,” Tia Thorn laughed.

The movements of Drifting Cloud Guild and Skysoar Sect instantly alarmed the other top powers. In Stormtower, Master Wan’s face turned grim. “This move against Rainbow Court is wrecking the God Realm’s peace. I hear Poison Maiden Tia Thorn has refined a poison so deadly even late-stage God-Venerables aren’t safe. Looks like Rainbow Court is in real danger.”

“What’s your plan, Master? Rainbow Court’s ties with Stormtower are pretty good, and lots of our disciples have married into their ranks. Should we help them out?” an elder asked.

“We need to think this through. The two powers are strong, but Stormtower isn’t afraid of them. What worries me is Heavenblade Sect jumping in to stir up trouble. Last time, Lin Feng offended Heavenblade Sect too, and now they’re just sitting back, watching the tigers fight. We can’t afford to be careless,” Master Wan said seriously…
