Boss Lin

"Kid, you... Kid, you... You're good!"

Captain Chen clutched his stomach, grimacing, his voice coming out in broken gasps.

He stared hatefully at Evan Lin, about to speak and order his men to rush forward and deal with this kid.

Not far away, the security guards stationed at the gate, led by Gary He, came running over in a hurry.

As Gary He passed by a parked black Rolls-Royce, he paused for a second, then puffed himself up with even more confidence.

He thought the Rolls-Royce was brought by Ryan Wu, parked here to take Julie Chu out for a spin later.

If you've got money, what is there to be afraid of?

This is a car worth several million!

But the security guards following behind Gary He, glancing at the black Rolls-Royce, couldn't help but twitch.

They exchanged looks, each secretly uneasy.

Especially when they caught the cold, sharp gaze of the driver sitting in the car, the guards could only force a friendly smile toward him.

None of them dared mess with someone who could afford a car like that.

One word from that kind of person could have them out of a job for good.

"These kids are causing trouble here—hurry up and throw them out for me!"

Gary He's voice was fired up, with a hint of pride.

Borrowing power to act tough.

Normally, he'd never dare act so wild.

But today, Gary He was working for Ryan Wu, so of course he felt confident.

The guards at the gate rushed inside, and the first thing they saw was Captain Chen kneeling on the ground, clutching his stomach and howling in pain.

"Captain Chen!"

They were startled and hurried over to help him up.

"Get them... get them out of here for me!"

Captain Chen gritted his teeth, his voice squeezed out between them.

"You guys are pretty gutsy, huh? Coming here to stir up trouble! What, did you eat bear hearts and leopard guts or something?"

The guards turned around, looking fierce and menacing.

But before they could finish their threats, they suddenly got a good look at the faces in front of them. Their voices cut off mid-sentence, and they froze.

"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and throw them out!"

Ryan Wu was still roaring.

But to everyone's surprise, the guards who had been ready to help Captain Chen save face suddenly straightened up.

"Sorry about that, hope we didn't scare you."

One guard stepped forward, plastering a smile on his face as he looked at Evan Lin.

"Is everything okay? Maybe there's some kind of misunderstanding? I bet it's just a misunderstanding, right?" Another guard hurried to speak up, afraid to fall behind.

Yeah, right.

They knew exactly who owned that multi-million Rolls-Royce.

When the Rolls-Royce driver got out earlier, he was nothing but respectful to these young guys.

Not only that, but the Rolls-Royce was ready to smash itself up just to help them break through the North Hill Aviation University gate. Unless you're an idiot, you should realize what's really going on here.

"Are you guys deaf or what? Didn't you hear me? Throw them out!"

Ryan Wu stood there, eyes wide, shocked by the guards' behavior.

The crowd was stunned too, faces full of disbelief.

"What... are you guys doing...?"

Captain Chen and the others from the security office lying on the ground were stunned for a moment.

They were all old hands at dealing with society, never moving unless there was something in it for them. Seeing the two guards suddenly switch sides, they hesitated, suspicions rising, and instinctively stopped moving forward.

One guard crouched down next to Captain Chen and whispered a few words, then pointed with his mouth toward the black Rolls-Royce parked nearby.

Captain Chen glanced over and saw the cold, gleaming black car under the sunlight. He shuddered in fear.

On one side was Ryan Wu, backed by New Air Aviation Company. Captain Chen knew this, so whenever Ryan Wu stirred up trouble at school and needed help, he was always quick to oblige—and had gotten plenty of free drinks out of it.

But offending someone who could drive a multi-million Rolls-Royce for the sake of Ryan Wu? That was clearly not worth it.

The key thing was, if Ryan Wu really got into trouble, his family would step in to clean up the mess. But if Captain Chen accidentally offended the wrong person, he had no connections to bail himself out.

"Sorry, sorry..."

Having figured this out, Captain Chen struggled to his feet and apologized to Evan Lin, his voice trembling. His legs were still shaking, barely able to stand, but his face was genuinely sincere.

"What is going on! Captain Chen! I brought you here to get rid of these kids, not to play the fool!"

Ryan Wu's face turned red with anger. He pointed at Captain Chen and yelled, "Why are you all acting like this kid's sons? Do you not want your jobs anymore?"

He shouted, completely losing his temper.

"Ryan Wu, I think there might be some misunderstanding. Maybe you guys should talk it out?"

Captain Chen forced a smile, not wanting to offend either side. But being scolded by Ryan Wu made him furious inside.

"Misunderstanding my foot!"

Ryan Wu snapped.

The crowd was baffled by the guards' sudden change in attitude.

"You must be confused! Standing right in front of you is Ryan Wu! His family owns a listed company! You don't listen to Ryan Wu?" Yan Li's voice was sharp as she glared at the guards and Evan Lin's group. "Ryan Wu's family has enough money to bury all of you!"

She turned to Zhu Yu, who was standing there. "Yu, of all the people you could be with, why pick this poor loser? You'll never be happy with him! That's just reality. Besides, didn't you say your family needs money?"

"Ryan Wu has plenty of money. You'll be way happier with him than with that broke kid!"

Yan Li had just finished speaking.

Zhu Yu hadn't responded yet.

Just then, Chu Han's phone suddenly rang.

He glanced at the caller ID—it was an unfamiliar number.

Chu Han paused for a moment, then instinctively answered. He heard a voice on the other end.

"Boss Lin, where are you? We've arrived at the North Hill Aviation University gate."
